Unfortunately, this was our last visit here. We're over it. We ordered to-go at 6:11pm for a pick up time by 6:26. My husband gets there to get our dinner...for us and 2 of our children. The oldest is working. When he arrived, Dane came up and asked his name and checked for our online order. He ended up bringing food back for 2 other customers then proceeded to ask "what's your name again?" My husband repeated his name and he went to the back to check on it again. Several more minutes pass and Hailey comes and asks "what's your name again?" Once again, he tells her his name and she goes to the kitchen, comes back and asks to see the order. At that point , he clicked the order on his phone along with the confirmation text and showed her both. She then goes back to the kitchen, comes back out and continues her job as a server with constant eye contact and no interaction. Unbelievably, then comes back for a FIFTH TIME ATP AND ASKS HIS NAME AGAIN. Hailey then pulls up a tablet, finds his name, goes back to the kitchen, comes back after almost 40 minutes total at this point, and asks if we want a refund tomorrow. SERIOUSLY?!? Then has the audacity to become more and more combative like we have done something wrong as opposed to being apologetic. SMH. My husband tells them to make the food instead of a refund because we were actually hungry and have been traveling all day. He comes back to pick it up 10/15 minutes later and was given our "order" by new guy Joel (finally a helpful one). My husband thanked him for taking accountability and attempting to correct the situation. You would think it was over now, right? Food in hand. Headed home. Good. NOPE. My husband had to go back. Our 13yr olds Birria tacos weren't there and neither was the dressing for my salad. Or the extra we paid for. Lastly, I ordered a fajita salad. Aren't the peppers and onions supposed to be cooked/grilled something? See pics. Full transparency, they did try to compensate with free dessert but, this was way too much. And the dessert came before they forgot a whole meal. Oh and when I called back to explain the issues, I got to speak with the sweetest peach - insert sarcasm - Naomi. She spelled her name out nicely for me and then hung up on me, instead of again, either being apologetic or taking accountability for your company. I normally choose a family owned Mexican resturaunt but we wanted to go somewhere that had margaritas. We were first served chips with salsa and we ordered guacamole to start. The chips were hot and fresh and had a decent thickness that added a lovely crunch. The guacamole was fresh and good. The drinks came second. Mine was the wrong one at first then when mine came, it wasn't that good. They were pretty mediocre. The entree were Tacos el pastor and the Quesabirra. The tacos were mediocre, and somewhat dry like the meat was overcooked. The Quesabirra was okay. It lacked flavor compared to the ones I've had before. The consume that came with it was a little bland as well. Both entrees came with rice and bean and they were good, but overly salted. I stated to feel the salt once we left when I got extremely thirsty. Overall it was okay. I will not go back, instead I will go to a local family owned authentic Mexican resturaunt next time. read more

Pre-pandemic my family and I came here one Saturday night on an off night after the power had been out. We were informed service was going to be slow and we ended up having to leave because we had tickets to a movie and were on a time crunch. I have heard good things for years and finally got to dine here tonight. We were seated promptly, but had to wait quite some time for a server. However, we noticed it definitely seemed as if they were a bit short staffed, as are many places these days. The hostess noticed we were sitting and not being served after about 15 minutes and said she had to figure out who had our table. Once our server came over, it was smooth sailing. He immediately brought us chips and asked if we wanted hot or mild salsa. We started with mild but noticed it didn't have much flavor. It's complimentary so we would never complain. We asked to try the spicy, and that also was pretty weak flavor wise, but again, if something is free we aren't going to complain. The four of us got the hibiscus tea, horchata, and unsweetened tea to drink. Drinks arrived in to-go style cups with lids. The hibiscus tea is sweet and a deep red color. The horchata ( I didn't try it) was reported to be pretty good, and the unsweetened tea was just bottled Pure Leaf. We started with the queso with chorizo. It came out pretty quickly and was pretty decent as far as queso is concerned. The tortilla chips are unique and seem homemade. They're thick, warm, and crispy and accompany the queso much better than the salsa. My entree was the quesabirria and I was pleasantly surprised with how good everything was, from the consommé to the sides of black beans and rice. Two others in my fam got burritos and another got a quesadilla. The consensus was everything was a bit on the overly salty side, but overall as expected. My expectations were set pretty low after my first experience being unable to stay because the kitchen was backed up, so I was probably the most impressed based on my previous experience. It's important to note our server was working his butt off. He checked on us many times and was running all over taking care of his tables. I don't usually expect much in regard to service since we live near a college campus and most servers are students, but he did a great job! read more

Food was ok but the wait time was ridiculous. I went here a couple months ago and haven't come back because during my first experience the wait time was too much. I decided to give another chance for national margarita day. The place was busier than usual (about 70% capacity) and the staff couldn't handle it. The tables around us were offered free dessert or free drinks for the wait. My table was not even offered water or the standard free chips and salsa. I had the quesabirria which was delicious. The salsa was green and tasty. The queso very creamy. I liked the guacamole too. Each "dip" came with lots of chips so you will have lots of chips if you order more than one of those. The quesadilla was thin but delicious. My fish tacos were double soft shelled like in México. The fish was fresh. I ordered double beans and less rice but it came standard. Taco Tuesday! I arrived for a late lunch and decided on the tacos... because tacos. They come w/ a side of rice, black beans, a small lettuce, tomato, radish, & avocado salad, and a roasted jalapeño & onion. The tacos I had were pollo & asada, w/ cojita cheese, Clanton, & onions on a pair of small flour tortillas "street taco" style. They also serve chips w/ a red and a green salsa. Everything was very tasty and presented nicely. I had iced tea for my beverage, but they had many more offerings of beverages, both alcoholic & non-alcoholic, and some good beers on the tap. Service: nice friendly accommodating. They are new so you expect some minor issues but overall a good experience getting our food and drinks. Venue: brand new, clean, smaller than expected. The layout is a bit odd, but best of luck to this venue to thrive especially when school starts up again. Food: average tastes, nothing was that amazing especially not for the prices they were asking. Portions were an okay size. Took a while to bring out food but at least it came out warm. Their chips were thick and crunchy, I prefer thin but it's free so not to many complaints in that department. Drinks fall in similar concerns of over priced for not much alcohol, like their margaritas. Prices: overpriced. This is a college town, students can't afford subpar food for such high prices. I don't foresee this place staying open for too long unless they drop those costs. At the end of the days it's just tortillas, meat, cheese, beans, and rice. None of that should cost an arm and a leg. Overall, it's brand new, clean, decent service but food is subpar. The food is always freshly prepared. The Mama's nachos are always a hit. Food is always consistent, whether we dine in or have it to go.

This place is not truly Mexican at all, however I will say that aesthetic of when you come inside you feel like you come into a Mexican Grill but the lack of presentation as far as the food and cuisine is horrendous. It's obvious that white people are back there and they do not know true Mexican authentic food. When you season your shrimp do not just throw your shrimp on the grill with butter and that's it put salt pepper oregano and some type of Mexican seasoning. When you do a burrito a burrito consist of rice you have to add in tomatoes tamales chilies peppers onions and garlic please moving forward if you're gonna say you're at Mexican grill make sure you actually put seasonings. read more

First, the atmosphere is very nice and pays homage to the Mexican culture! I started with a mango margarita as my drink and tried the chips and salsa. Due to the use of fresh ingredients the margaritas are SLAMMING!!!! The salsa for the chips is so-so. They make it fresh but over blend it with the hand mixer so it is very watery. We had the surf-n-turf burrito and the ChurriPollo. Both were delicious! Only reservation I had was the elote wasn't as good as I had hope, but still enjoyed the food. As always the food was right on point and the house margarita was very good. I had a shrimp burrito that was packed with shrimp, rice, guacamole, cheese ... The definite winner was the shrimp tacos with guacamole, queso fresco and pickled onions. Tonight service was definitely lacking. This was one of the worst meals I've had in a while. I asked for a steak quesadilla with grilled onions. It was mostly cheese, little steak (the steak was tough, dry, and under seasoned), and they didn't even grill my onions. The rice tasted stale, the black beans were like refried beans, but with black beans? They were gross. They tasted like the color grey. The pico de gallo literally almost made me vomit. The tomatoes had to be rotten. The churros tastes like cardboard dusted in cinnamon and sugar, and the chocolate sauce tasted like poison. Mango margarita was pretty good.
