The building looks just like someone's house, so if you're not paying close attention you might drive right by. The food was delicious. My son ordered the rib eye tacos and I got the chicken tacos. Yes! Yes! A thousand times yes! Been a customer here for years, not as regular as I'd like (November 2024 & June 2025 my most recent visits) but always a wonderful and satisfying experience! You can sit inside or outside, weather permitting. Inside is simple, quaint, uncluttered, and clean. The service has always been satisfactory and/or adequate. No complaints! Love the food. This is a great local cafe. There is inside and outdoor seating. We went for Sunday brunch. I had the Tres Leche french toast which was to die for. The brioche French Toast was crispy and soaked in tres leches sauce and topped with powdered sugar and fresh bluebrries and strawberries. My husband had the Mexican omelet which was filled with chicken and pepper jack cheese and topped with fresh avocados. We also had the Mexican coffee which was delightfully spiced with a smooth and velvet texture reminiscent of a crisp fall afternoon. Everything was fresh, tasty and reasonably priced. Delicious food. This place offers a variety of food that satisfies many taste preferences. The shrimp burrito is amazing. It is fairly mild. It doesn't have the heat/spice you might expect. However, it is still one of my favorite things on the menu. Half is enough to fill you! I take the second half home for lunch the next day. I hear the burgers are great. The burgers are homemade- not the frozen/pre-made variety. The smoothies are also tasty and contain quality, healthy ingredients. The atmosphere is intimate and festive. The guacamole is good. Not the best I've had but definitely worth a try. There is plenty of dining space. I prefer the front dining area. There is additional sitting in the back. I love all of the succulent plants that are located throughout the restaurant. Sometimes they play authentic Mexican music. Their service is friendly. Sometimes, when they are busy the wait is a little long. I am not sure if they could accommodate a large party. I think if you called ahead you might be able to reserve the back room. The first time we came, we sat outside and watched the traffic and people go by. We met a couple who are regulars and told us it was byob. They were kind enough to share their wine with us. As much as I try to give this spot an opportunity to redeem themselves, they continue to disappoint. There aren't many options in the Clayton area and I like to support local eateries, however, they continue to disappoint and management/owners don't seem to care. I've beg to many places where the food was cooked fresh to order, understaffed and still were able to deliver Grade A food and service. They don't make excuses, unlike Neris who are filled with excuses for under-delivering. read more

I previously left a lower review for breakfast but I've come back here for dinner several times and have been very impressed each time. First, their guac and salasas are very good! For a meal, I usually get Chicken Fajitas, and they are a very large portion, usually have enough for three meals or more! I have not been back here for breakfast in a while but would definitely give it another try! Wonderful staff whom accommodated our walk in party of 10 today for lunch and despite being a smaller restaurant with other diners and what sounded like tons of takeout orders coming in, there wasn't a single hiccup in service. I had the fish tacos which were super filling and delicious. Boyfriend had the steak burrito which he housed while telling me how dumb we were for not having tried this place sooner. Our other family members had fajitas and pork tacos...the kids mostly at the tenders/burgers from the kids menu. Some in our party had never tried Mexican food and fell in love with it. Long-time customer, however we will not set foot in there ever again after today. Husband ordered the beef empanadas... they came out & after he took a bite, he cut them open to discover there was barely any beef in either of them. We immediately let them know & sent the entire platter back. Not only did we receive no apology or acknowledgement of the issue, they refused to take it off of our bill. When we said if we're paying for it, we want the food back, we were told they disposed of it. In all the years we've gone here, we've never complained about anything, even after they started nickel & diming everything in the past year or when they raised prices without putting any notice on the menus. Arrived with a friend to eat breakfast outside at 8:30AM on July 6th 2016. This place has been taken over from the previous owner... Barbara Anne. There are many improvement that have been made... New seating , new flooring and new awning outside. It looks really great and I can see the effort to upgrade the old Barbara Anne's. Unfortunately, food wise it needs great improvement. The server was NOT very friendly and very dismissive. The food was not prepared well. I ordered scrambled eggs. My toast was good, but everything was a disaster. My potatoes tasted of garlic... Not what I'm looking for at breakfast. When I told the waitress, she said "don't you like garlic." I think I should have at least been offered some new potatoes ... Or something else. The coffee cups are very nice... But the coffee is terrible... No matter how much sugar or cream you add. We were the only customers sitting outside out front... But the service was slow and inattentive. I don't think I'll be returning since the service wasn't good and the food was even worse.
