Fifth time that we come and it never disappoints. My daughters love the carnitas sopes, always fresh and delicious. We have also ordered tortas and tacos. They are simple, delicious, fresh tacos. My favorite is the Al Pastor. Today I veered off of the tacos and I tried their steak nachos. Chips are fried right in the food truck. Steak is delicious, toppings were plenty. A must try. My only word of advice for anyone going, order ahead. When they tell you 15 min, add an additional 10 min to that. I found this place through Yelp and after reading the reviews, I decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food tasted. It was cooked to order and everything tasted delicious. Prices were very reasonable. I tried one stake, one carnitas, and one chorizo taco and one Sopes with al pastor. Delicious!!! The only complaint I have is that the chorizo and stake tacos were a bit too salty (but then that's my personal opinion because I don't usually put a lot of salt on my food). It's a food truck located in the same lot as Firehouse BBQ, Coney Island Joe's, Snoballs, and JB Cheesesteak. They told me that they opened 2 months ago, and I hope they stick around forever - or until they grow enough to get a bricks-and-mortar location. The food was fresh, hot, and tasty; clearly prepared with care and attention to quality and detail. I recently discovered this place through my coworkers and am so happy I did. I LOVE Mexiote! I've had the chicken quesadilla which is amazing--cheese and chicken on the inside and guacamole, sour cream, and pico de gallo on the side. It's simple but soooo flavorful and filling, definitely my go to. I've also tried the fries which are the best fries I've ever had. It's not something you'd typically have at a Mexican place but they are delicious. If you like burritos, they have massive ones here. I haven't tried them yet but they look really good. Other favorites at work are the tacos al pastor and the fish ones. Apparently, the fish tacos are fried in beer batter. Another plus about this place is the price. The food is inexpensive and you get a pretty decent amount! I highly recommend this place if you have a chance to try it. They are right next to other food trucks so you can grab other foods to go with this (for example, hawaiian shaved ice). read more
