One of the best Bar and Grill Restaurants in Elizabeth. They have a rocking vibe with plenty of seating, both indoor and outdoor. Decor looks trendy with plenty of Insta-friendly backgrounds. We were a party of six, and the service was quick enough considering how packed they were. Staff were friendly and polite. The music can get a bit loud though. Glad we came on a Thursday. I could imagine how pack this must get. They had a DJ mixing with large screen music videos. It's large inside and tables were perfectly placed. This was my first time coming here, and I highly doubt this is going to be my last time. The vibes are definitely here. Between the music and how the place is designed on the interior, it really is a vibe. The service here is really good. The staff is so accommodating. We had a group of about 18 people. The only thing I didn't like was how long the food took to come. That could also have been because of how large our party was. I ordered the chicken dish. My friend ordered the steak, and my girlfriend ordered the guacamole appetizer. All of the food was slappppin lol. One thing they know how to do here is flavor. It all tasted authentic. I visited Mexology for my sister's bachelorette dinner and it was such a nice experience! Usually when places are advertised all over social media it doesn't turn out to be so good so I was surprised. We made a reservation a week in advance. Keep in mind that you have to provide your credit card either through email or over the phone to secure your reservation. When we came it was raining so we weren't able to sit outside which is where we booked to sit. We ended up sitting somewhere that didn't have enough space for us and the table behind us so the manager simply moved us to a more spacious area. The inside was just as nice as the outside. Luckily it stopped raining and they dried off the outdoor area and seated us there. The music was very lively. They played a mix of old and new school reggaeton with a live DJ and music videos on a big screen. The waiter was very welcoming and explained the pre fixe menu ($55 pp not including tip). They bring out all the appetizers first, then 1 entree of our choosing, and multiple desserts on a platter. I really like the family style since our party was so large. They provided us with guacamole, ceviche, and empanadas. I didn't have time to take pictures before everyone devoured it (sorry)! For my entree, I had the "8 oz Churrasco Al Café" It was sooo delicious! It was filled with so much flavor and I was happy it came with potatoes so it wasn't too heavy. Came here to celebrate a birthday on a Saturday. We made reservations due to being a big party. The decor was lovey and there was band at night. Since we were a big party we did the prefix dinner menu. Shared appetizers of ceviche, empanadas, guacamole & chips. Main course i chose the barbacoa del pueblo included brisket, rice, beans and tortillas. The main course was delicious and worth the wait. At the end we had shared desserts of churros, lava cake, & cheesecake. The desserts i didn't like, had no flavor what so ever. Made a reservation for 730 pm on a Friday night to come and try out this new restaurant i seen last week while in the area. Note: website requires a credit card to confirm your reservation. This particular section of Elizabeth is packed with restaurants and lounges, so parking is a hassle. I'm grateful to have found a parking on the street and avoid the $10 (I think) to park across the street. I was greeted quickly and nicely by the hostess and shown to my table as my other party was already waiting. I was provided the menu upon being seated. I perused the menu and decided to try a specialty cocktail with tequila (the names me, but something flame). We ordered chips and guacamole while we waited for our drinks. My other party ordered a sangria but didn't like it as it tasted like it contained tequila and returned it for another drink. Food- guacamole and chips..... guacamole tasted freshly made and was presented well. Cafe marinated steak - was good, well seasoned. The potatoes and Brussel sprouts needed something extra. Red snapper was a filet and was pretty good. Drinks- were just okay. The passionfruit mojito and the flaming drink both left a lot to be desired and was not strong enough. Ambiance- TOP Notch! Woodsy, bohemian Tulum vibes Restaurant is pretty big with two recognizable bar areas. Beautiful velvety green chairs and booth seating. This spot is a total gem in the downtown area of Elizabeth!! You feel like you are in the middle of Tulum, Mexico! Beautiful artwork and decor throughout the restaurant and bar area. You can tell they put a lot of thought into the interior design. While the prices are New York City prices, the quality of the drinks do dictate the high prices. They drinks were well made and strong and every detail is put into making the drinks. I would come back to try out the other drinks once I refill my wallet. I came across this newly opened restaurant in Elizabeth on IG. As soon as you walk in, you feel the upscale ambiance. -Esthetics were 5/5 , seemed to be Tulum inspired. You can tell they paid close attention to details such as the rustic/bohemian decor yet embracing the beauty of nature (driftwood furniture and light fixtures). This is a sister restaurant to the Garden. -They were setting up for a live band possibly to play Mariachi music. -Juan, our server, was professional and very attentive. -The drink menu was nicely laid out but did not deliver in terms of flavor and I would consider it sub par. This review is solely based on their service. Wanted to have dinner there two weeks ago with my friend. I went online and made a reservation the day before. Two hours before my reservation I get an email to confirm my reservation they wanted me to email them, or call them with my credit card number. Absolutely not going to happened. Why would I email them back my credit card information? I saw the email as I was getting ready to head out and called them. First it took them a few tries to get someone to pick up the phone. Then the first person didn't know what I was talking about. Called back and was told my reservation was cancelled because I did not provide my credit card information. I have seen the trend of asking for credit card information when making a reservation and I am completely okay with that because I know that many people flake and it can affect their business, but asking for this information afterwards is completely irresponsible and dangerous. They also said in the email that we had to spend $50 per person minimum which honestly for dinner is just an app and drink during these times, but add that to your reservation link. Don't send it over right before because what if I wasn't planning to spend that much. We ended up going to another restaurant and had an amazing time and they missed out on a $240 dinner for two. read more

They brought all our food at once (apps + entrees) and kept trying to take our plates away before we were done. Overall waitress was nice but very soft spoken and shy. My friends and I were seated although we didn't have a reservation which was so sweet. We then had an awesome server that checked on us constantly, made us feel so welcome, and gave us her best recommendations. We had a range of drinks, tacos, and appetizers-- all which were delicious. The 3 black lobster appetizer was my absolute favorite. It was not only refreshing but packed with lobster that was lightly seasoned and ready for enjoyment. The menu is a bit pricey but it's the perfect place for a cute date, night with friends, or family celebration. I mean even if you go solo, might be surprised who you meet . 2 things that have already turned me off from coming here. 1 -- After booking the reservation, they require you to either call or email your credit card information beforehand. I honestly don't think this is safe, sending my entire credit card info through an insecure email, let alone giving it to you to hold my reservation. Without taking the email route, I tried falling several times and not once has someone answered the phone. After several rings of no one rings, the phone hangs up the call, with no voicemail. So, there is simply no way of saving my reservation. 2 -- They require you to spend a minimum in the restaurant. I've personally never been to a Mexican restaurant that requires you to spend a certain amount. I feel forced to spend extra money that might not be necessary. Nowadays, a drink or two and an appetizer alone can be $50 but that's if I want to order 2+ drinks. I've seen a few reviews similar to mine, so hopefully they make the effort to make things a little more accommodating for their customers. read more

There's so much other competition on the street of this establishment. And to be honest I should've patronized another establishment. Not only was the food mediocre but the service was terrible. Beautifully designed restaurant. Felt like I was in Soho (or Tulum?) with the interior covered in richly-colored velvety fabrics, natural accents, and tasteful accent lighting. Food and drinks were also great. I came for brunch and very much enjoyed the octopus and shrimp dish that was served with olive oil and paprika. It was seasoned to perfection and made a great appetizer for the table to share. The drinks were also well-crafted, thoughtfully presented, and most importantly: strong. When we arrived for our restaurant the bouncer asked if we were aware of the dress code. We said no because it was our first time here. He informed me that there was a no hat rule. In disbelief I said huh I'm a female and this isn't any o hat (long brimmed fedora). So he said let me ask my manager. So I stepped in to ask the gentleman at the door. He proceeded to inform me that no my hat is allowed not to worry baseball caps aren't. So the young lady asked for our reservation. So I informed her of my name. When you step in the ambience and vibe is amazing. The waiter did come over to greet us immediately. Asking if we wanted sparkling or still water (also not including the price of the Water) After the initial introduction it took him a while to come back. The menu entry options were very slim. So we opted to just have tacos. But my friend also wanted a side of rice and beans. The menu also lacked side options. When the waiter finally returned we begin to order everything because it took him so long. He informed is that at the moment it takes the drinks a long time to come out so he'll put in the drink order now and than come back for the food order. He begin to take our food order I asked if it would be possible for a side of rice and beans he replied let me ask the kitchen which he never did. While we waiting to be served I happened to notice that it was a Spanish person seating behind us with nit only a baseball cap but also a T shift and basketball shorts. And on our way out I sent another spanish gentleman with a baseball hat on. So I informed the manager of my dislike for their policy when it comes to specific people IE (black people). MONTHLY MOMMY NIGHT OUT! We made our reservations days prior to dinner and everything with that went smoothly when we got there. The restaurant was packed, but it was a great ambiance. We had a waitress seat us and take our drink orders which we waited over an hour for. She never came back by the way. LOL The next waitress, who was very very nice came to our table almost 30 minutes later, so we took advantage and ordered everything just in case she didn't come back too. LOL When the appetizers finally came out, they weren't even what we ordered but she still let us keep it which helped a lot because the actual appetizers ended up coming out 20 minutes later. The food and drinks were great. They had a group performance which was nice. The price was unexpectedly much more expensive then I expected.
