I want to add a disclaimer. I did NOT order any food so this review is solely based on appearance, environment and other factors. I was craving a delicious burrito or quesadilla, got on yelp and found this place. After reading the reviews, I decided to give it a try. When I walked into the joint, the first thing I noticed was that there were NO customers. I mean it was a total desert. That's a red flag to me because it was Saturday during lunch. Sorta brushed that off and made my way to the counter/assembly line. I examined the food and I wasn't impressed. Everything looked dry and old like it hadn't been touched or stirred since they opened at 11 AM. The food simply looked dead, but again, I'm like "the reviews were good. Maybe the food will look lively once it's actually put together." There were three employees behind the counter. The woman at the assembly line had on gloves and the other two male employees, who probably "cook/make" the food, were not wearing any gloves. While viewing the menu, I noticed one of the men drinking out of his personal, gallon sized bottle of water. That turnt me off for several reasons. I then noticed the other man on his phone. Another major turn off. He would rest it on top of what appeared to be maybe a box of foil or plastic, once he was done with it and pick it right back up. I don't need to explain why that was a turn off to me and unsanitary. Once I observed all of those behaviors, I strongly believe I made the best choice to not order anything. We visited the new Clark, NJ location and were overwhelmed with the friendliness of the staff, cleanliness, attention to detail and service! Great spot for quick bouts of diarrhea. Had lunch there at 1:00, ground beef and queso burrito, and by 5:30 I had to rush to the Costco bathroom to get it out. We've all been there, the feeling is unmistakable. They must have undercooked the meat. I've done that before, and it ruins the following 12 hours as long as it passes through. If you manage to go longer without using the restroom, honestly I would be amazed. I expected more from a place that dares to charge $16.50 even with the queso that added maybe $2.70 to the bill, the only added cost. It could be worth mentioning that the entire consistency was like soup, so if you are in the mood for the sensation of eating blended Baconator wrapped in a tortilla this is your place. Finally! My daughter and I made it over to this spot. I'd been wanting to get here for weeks. It's really not that far but traffic south is crazy around dinner time, so I've put it off each week. Yesterday I bit the bullet and made my way up the highway to Clark. Ordering online was my daughter's idea but it took a little to figure out as it wasn't the best user-friendly website, in her opinion. I drove and she placed the orders. We got a steak burrito with rice, beans and cheese; soft shrimp tacos with cheese and other mix-ins; and soft tacos with ground beef, steak and other mix-ins. Once we got home to eat, the food was cold. Even cold, I must say it was still delicious! My son and daughter equally enjoyed their food. I didn't care for the tortilla chips- this could be because I'm so used to eating the store-bought kind but the fresh salsa and Pico de Gallo were on point! Everything came to $40- that's because I had guac added which was an additional charge. The food was ready in 15 minutes even though the site indicated it would take almost 30. So I came to this spot to get a quick bite to eat. I ordered my meal online of the vegan boca burrito bowl with mango habanero sauce and a side of chips and salsa. Ordering online gave me a $2 discount so the total came to a little over $13. When I arrived I parked in the plaza parking lot and was greeted by a nice young lady when I walked in. I told her I was there to pick up food and told her my name. She handed me my food and I left. When I got in I dug in and the bowl was not bad. The only thing I didn't care for was the mango habanero sauce. The taste wasn't to my liking. The chips and salsa was good and they gave plenty. I had a pretty decent experience. A GIGANTIC nacho platter that puts a lot of pubs and bar nachos to shame. My favorite queso is here. If it wasn't obvious enough, the more you customize your order, the more fun you have with their menu. Pricing is very good. Use their rewards app! While you are building up points for your free entree, the restaurant sends a lot of deals and discounts throughout the week. Refer a friend from your app link to get $5 off. This spot has been in Clark for a few years now , but I just tried it a few days ago ! Bubakoos reminds me of another version of chipotle but with a slightly different and better menu . I ordered the shrimp salad taco bowl with no shell . The workers let me choose my toppings as it would be at chipotle . at bubakoos you can also get fried cauliflower , shrimp , or even a veg burger as a " protein " which is awesome ! I don't know if the workers were hungover or not listening but it took a few tries to tell them what I wanted exactly . The toppings aren't as bright and fresh as other places I've been to but everything tasted good . I really liked the shrimp made to order . Also you can get a double portion of shrimp ! They are take-out, so when I got home, I added my own grilled chicken to it because hey, I am an omnivore and proud to be one! They also have gluten free, keto, and regular menu items. My takeout order went to this place (Clark) by accident, usually I order at a place that is closer to my house. Once I realized this, I called them immediately and asked to cancel and was told that order is almost ready and they can't cancel. They hung up on me after saying that, so I called again and told that I am going to report this as a charge I did not authorize to a credit card company. They said: ok. After about 5 minutes, I decided to go there as they were just 25 minute ride away (my regular place is 10 minutes). After all, I'd spend more time reporting wrong charge to a credit card company. When I arrived, they could not find my order. I told them that I called and was told that "the order is almost ready". Their response was amusing : "We gave your order to people in need"!
