This was the worst experience of my life. I made an appointment to get my wisdom teeth out and had a consultation in August. Come December, the date of my appointment, the receptionist tells me I was not on the schedule, though my family and I had the scheduling card that confirmed the surgery was supposed to occur. The receptionist, who was working when I scheduled my appointment, said it was due to a woman who no longer worked there and they could still fit me in...but it would be a wait since there was only one surgeon. I have never been under general anesthesia (or had any surgery in my life) I was insanely nervous in the first place. Going in and hearing that they didn't even have me on the schedule elevated that pre-existing anxiety knowing that they were unprepared to see me. In the end, I was uncomfortable going in for a surgery that they didn't even know was happening, regardless of the fact they said they "could do it." Anyway, we ended up leaving without having the surgery done as I was very uncomfortable having them proceed with the surgery because my mind was spiraling with the fact that they seemed unprepared. Quite unfortunate because the surgeon seemed kind during the consultation, but due to the unpreparedness and the rudeness from the receptionist we will not be going back to this place. read more

I had a tooth extraction, followed by a bone graft completed at this clinic. I paid extra to be put under per my dentist's suggestion, because numbing didn't work and he suspected it was hitting a trigger nerve. When I get there they gave me about 6 shots of numbing solution and I was wondering why since I was supposed to be put out. Finally they gave me some happy gas but I still woke up a couple times from the pain. When the procedure was complete I paid just under $2k in the form of cash. My friend had the exact same problem and had the exact same procedure (same tooth as well) here as well with a round about referral from me when he asked where I had it done. I asked what he paid and he said they wanted just under 2k but since he paid in cash they discounted him to just under 1.4k. Why not me? I then had a regular dentist check up shortly thereafter where they needed to upgrade my X-Rays. I asked them to get it from the Meyer Clinic since they did several. My dentist's office told me they would not release the X-Rays to them because I did not pay for them. They told me the X-Rays would be free since I was having them do the procedure. I am suppose to limit my X-Rays due to a thyroid condition and they did not have the courtesy to share them with my dentist. My dentist even gave them my business by referral. They also said during my pre-consultation that my regular health insurance would pick up the majority of the anesthesia. When I received the bill nothing was taken off via my health insurance. The extraction was a success but very disappointed about everything else. read more

This was by far the worst experience! Prior to this we had 2 of our other kids have their wisdom teeth removed here. Last year my daughter had to go back for a second surgery because she woke up swollen two weeks after her surgery due to bone fragments being left in the area. This year we had a 9am appointment which was scheduled a few months ago. Two days before my daughter receives a text for her appt at 9:10. Upon arrival at 8:55 we are told her "arrival time is 9:20"She had me make my payment however two ladies at the front office were less than thrilled to be working there. We were taken back to sign the consent forms and given the invoice for her treatment which said I owed $400 less than I paid up front. I was told "don't pay attention to that it's a mistake, but you need to sign this. We will bill insurance you can ignore it all". We then were sent back out waited until after 10 for her to be called again. . About 10:45 I was told she was finished and would be out in about 10 minutes. 11:30am I ask if she's ok and if I can go back and I'm told no without any further explanation. Once I was allowed to go back, instructions were explained (very friendly assistant) and my daughter was ready to leave. I had to ask for gauze and a syringe which apparently should have been provided when we signed the consent papers. We never received a follow up call to see how she was doing, this is customary of oral surgeons or at least a call from their office (which we got with my other two kids). I worked in oral surgery for a number of years and we made it a point to call and check on each individual patient the evening of their surgery. The entire experience was very disappointing and as nervous as my daughter was the wait of over an hour didn't help. At one point the front office overheard the other parents in the waiting room discussing how long they had to wait. The front office finally called the next set of patients and told them they were running behind. The front office staff was less than professional as you could here them discussing their personal issues with their paycheck company and speaking about other patients using first and last names on the phone which to me is a huge privacy issue. I only saw the doctor once when he came out to speak with a mom that had two kids go through a procedure and gave his card and asked her to call his cell with any questions. He did not do that with any other parents that were there. read more

This is the place to go to get your Oral Surgery done clean, effectively and in a snap. This is also the place to go to if you need to be completely knocked out to receive regular Dentistry work. Let me explain. I've been searching for a place that could sedate a very timid, highly sensitive, and very anxious preteen to get cavities filled. I went to a number of places that were highly suspicious,Very disappointing and downright scary. It was very hard to trust anyone after a while but my son's cavities needed to be filled or we'd have a bigger problem soon. Dr. Bukzin @Meyer Clinic in Gainesville, agreed to sedate my son while my local Warrenton Dentistry team came to the office in there... to do the dental work. Since my son knows the ladies at Warrenton Dentistry this was surely the way to go. I could not have dreamed for a better agreement. Dr. Bukzin's reception office is nice, comfortable and simple. There are no screaming kids running around. And I love the 80s music channel streaming while we were there LOL. The ladies there when I checked in were very friendly and aiming to please. They spoke to my son very nicely. When I am paying for a service I enjoy being spoken to in a friendly manner and seeing a smiley face or two. These women knocked it out of the park. Like I said I don't trust much these days. But the Mayer Clinic and Dr. Bukzin are great and I appreciate the work they did. Thank you guys!! read more

I was in desperate need of a tooth pulled and had an awful and slightly traumatic (ok incredibly horrific ) experience at another place, so I was less than thrilled to go at it again. My dentist gave me a referral to this place and it was the best experience. The secretary was kind and helpful, the hygienist was excellent and the Dr was extremely professional. I would recommend this place to anyone who has any kind of fear of getting their teeth looked at. I don't have insurance for dental care and had to pay out of pocket for the entire procedure, which I felt was a more than fair price considering the work needed. I went there to have a tooth pulled and my dentist was Dr. Bukzin, who strongly recommended that I have the next tooth in line also be pulled. The doctor waited until I was under the influence of the laughing gas to get nasty and rude about how many years of education he and his wife had. I had told him in the consult that there were a lot of doctors in my family. He seemed angry about this when I came in for my appointment. He was so rough during the numbing process that my blood pressure spiked. If I hadn't needed to have someone take off from work to bring me to the appointment, I would have left. He seems to have s problem with educated blacks. If I had been white, it wouldn't have been an issue. During the numbing process I asked him to stop and he made a nasty comment and continued. We have 2 dental insurances and they charged me up front for the amount the second insurance would cover. Later found out that they over charged me the in-network negotiated rate and then refused to refund me the money. Also refused to let me speak with the owner. Dr. Buxton and his staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. My son had to have minor procedure done on Friday July 13th. They made sure we left with a full understanding on what he/we needed to do to ensure he healed correctly. On Sunday Dr. Buxton himself called to check on how he was recovering. A week later he had a minor complication and again Dr. Buxton was available on the weekend to help us out. We could not have asked for better care or a better experience than we had at the Meyer clinic. read more

So back in August my daughter and I went in for an initial consultation to get her wisdom teeth pulled. The office staff was friendly and inviting and the doctor seemed nice. That's where it stops. Today I received a claim from them that I owe $160 for an initial consultation that they originally told me was $100. They also told me that they had already checked with my insurance and that it was covered at 100%. I didn't think about it again until receiving their bill. Today I called my insurance company and was told that if they submitted it under a different claim ID, that it would be covered. Simple enough, or so it would seem. The Meyer clinic refuses to change their coding and so I'm now stuck with $160 bill for a clinic that I am not going to use. I'm sure the doctor is totally competent and that many people are happy with the work. I just don't get paying $160 for a 15 minute conversation where the doctor spent most of his time trying to upsell me on a pain medicine. I'm sure somebody has to spend a lot of money to have that fancy office in the building outside of lake Manassas. It's just not going to be me. read more

We love the Doctors and staff here. Three of my boys have had their wisdom teeth out with Dr. Friend. They do a great job of explaining everything up front and give prescriptions in advance too. That way, we were well prepared the day of surgery. The office is very clean and comfortable and could not be nicer. Dr Friend is very personable and established a great rapport with my son - he was not nervous at all. A few days after surgery, Dr. Friend personally called to check on him and to see if we had any problems or questions. I had a bad abscess that formed into a cyst and the pain I can't even explain, my endodontist called and requested I been seen the same day due to the infection and pain they took time to fit me in, but I never felt like I was a burden to the office staff. From the time I came into the office everyone was friendly and kind. They took me to a private office discussing health and insurance information, took time to answer questions, then the doctor came in prior to being in the chair and discussed options, mine was extraction but was needed do to the infection. Was taken back all the staff in the back was funny, and professional, making you feel relaxed. The procedure was fast with great care. The discharge instructions were clear and they gave you enough supplies to take home. They also let me know they could be reached anytime for concerns or questions.
