We had 2 air conditioning units in our house that weren't working and our house was very hot. The first company, Design Aire, couldn't install a $7,500 new unit until a week later and the technician who came out at one point became frustrated with my questions and we didn't get along. You can see my 1 star review of Design Aire for more information. Next we had a representative from Jerry Kelly come out to sell us a new unit. He started at $12K and my wife worked him down to $8K. He said he couldn't match the $7500 because Jerry Kelly did the best work and he couldn't go any lower, When I said no thank you, he then relented and agreed to $7500, but then wanted to put in a cheaper air-conditioning unit. So I passed. As he left he said that I needed to hurry up and take his great offer because the great discount he offered me wasn't going to last. Apparently Kelly got bought out like a year ago and now are aggressively monetizing the business at the expense of its customers. . The next day we met with Paul from Meyer who was very friendly and said that he could install it the same day and match the $7500 with the same quality air conditioning unit as Design. Paul was very friendly and my wife and I enjoyed chatting with him. So they installed it that day and fixed that problem. The next day for a fee of $333 they came out to look for a leak in our other unit, but couldn't find any with whatever method they used and they wanted to charge more to do further leak testing. So at this point my wife and I were upset and frustrated. My wife called to complain and Chris responded fast to fix the problem. He quickly came out and added free freon which is normally I think about 700 dollars - I could be wrong about the normal cost. Apparently a different company that installed that unit about 7 years ago did a bad job which made it difficult for them to now find what was causing it stop working So overall it was a great experience. They seemed very competent and friendly and when we had a problem they immediately sought to rectify the issue in order to keep us happy. When the unit that they added freon to goes out again we will probably call them to replace it. read more

When I found the part from the same brand and same manufacturer that cost 16.50, they told me I had to pay their price because they had to order it. Really?! Best price I found for replacing my HVAC unit. Installation went very smoothly. I recommend this company.

Had Meyer come out to put refrigerant in my AC. A week later it stops working so they come back out and tell me it's leaked all the refrigerant and I need to buy whole new system for $6k. The salesman even said he smelt refrigerant in the basement. And that's exactly when I smelt a rat. Fortunately I had another company come out. It took him 1 minute to see that no refrigerant had leaked at all, and that the condenser just had a bad double capacitor. In 15 minutes it was up and running again, good as new. I fortunately avoided getting shafted by a company trying to push new units out the door. tl:dr. Don't believe Meyer when they try to sell you overpriced equipment. Either they can't accurately read a pressure gauge or are actually lying about what it says. These people profit most off new systems so whoever you go with; Get a second opinion. read more

They charge over 400$ just to recharge AC with freon. Update: Someone with Meyers contacted me and told me I was mistaken in my claim that they charged me 400$ solely for freon. They then requested my information to look up the ticket. After looking up the ticket they changed their tune, implicitly acknowledging that THEY were mistaken. So to recap, I make a claim. They deny it. Look up the information and see it's true, then give a canned "we provided you with all your options" BS answer, tacitly acknowledging their claim that I wasn't charged that much was false. read more

Meyer performed a full HVAC system replacement. They were on time and performed the job efficiently and delivered what was promised. They were able to work around our schedule too! Although there were a few minor issues found after installation, they were promptly addressed in a professional manner. I reported the issues on a Saturday and the owner personally followed up and came on site the same day with the lead technician who sold the unit to ensure everything was taken care of! Was not necessary but the owner insisted on the urgency to resolve the matter! You know when the owner is willing to do anything a technician will do (and on the weekend), they have a solid business model and likely happy employees as well! I chose Meyer because I wanted a quality product and service. Their 10 year PARTS and LABOR warranty gives you peace of mind and tells me they stand by the products they sell! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Meyer to anyone needing heating and cooling services ! Look forward to many more years of quality service, thanks Meyer ! read more

Outstanding!!! I called Meyer Heating and Cooling from a referral from a friend. I called and they quickly got me an appointment and it was a 1-3pm window. Mike the tech/owner called me at 12:50pm to let me know he would be at my house in 15 mins. I was thrilled!! He arrived at 1:05pm and quickly went to work and solved my issue taking time to show me on a photo he had what the issue was, why it happened and how to prevent it. So long story ahort...Had AC issue dealt with home warranty company, waste of time. Called Meyer came out next day went through every and did everything to save my dying unit (20+Year's old) Brett(repair guy) broke the bad news that we needed the whole unit replaced. Called the sales guy (Paul) who came out right away spent a hour or so giving us multiple options. Deal is this is going on on a Wednesday and they are booked. Brett offered to come out saturday and do it if we decided to use them. Everyone was down to earth Paul was very professional and 0 pressure. Very informative. Got 2nd opinion don't even want to talk about that. So we decided on Meyers. They were able to come out saturday and install it. As I was thanking Brett and his "helper" I told them I would let the boss know how great they were. Well turns out the owner was his "helper" Blown away. Signed up for the Groupon for an AC and Furnace tune up. All the guy did was an inspection and tell me exactly what I already knew what was wrong with it. He didn't actually do anything other than look at our AC and Furnace. Last year we had another company come out and that guy was very thorough, explaining how we could improve the AC with the amount of money we had. He cleaned out the air conditioner, cleaned the ducts around it, etc. Meyer's instant answer to our AC problems was for us to buy a whole new system; what a joke. Plus, they were very deceitful in their pricing. Eg: The "repairman" told us that with a $14 service agreement, we could have a huge discount on all the equipment they were going to sell us. I realized after he left that he meant $14/MONTH. I know that's not a ton of money, but it spoke volumes to me about their integrity (combined with the fact that all they wanted us to do was buy a new system from them). The guy even said (as if he had been trained to say this), "Look I'm not trying to pressure you into buying anything. You can tell me to get out of your house right now, I'll leave." He said that at least three times, attempting to make it quite clear that he was on my side. Well obviously, that was lip service. Next time you advertise a tune-up, make sure it's not simply an inspection that I could have received for FREE from any other reputable heating/cooling company. read more

Meyer installed a complete Trane system in my home 3 years ago. It was an overall great experience. Best of all I have had absolutely no problems with the system. Both the heating and cooling systems work great and are energy efficient. The installation work was done neatly and was done in a timely manner.
