I had the distinct pleasure to meet Kyle Smith (GM Bath) at the Hershey RV show in Pennsylvania. Although this is a long story I will keep it somewhat to the point. I ordered a unit, it came in, it had multiple issues. Kyle went to bat against the manufacturer, due to all the major issues. Although brand new, the factory wanted to repair and return. Meaning return unit to factory, demo unit and repair issues. I had to cancel a trip already planned. The manufacturer was dragging their feet and Kyle pushed on. I know this is not the norm, nor should it be. But the issues were enough to make myself, and Meyer's RV, very uncomfortable if I was forced to keep this unit. Needless to say a deal was worked out. I am now in an RV I am satisfied with. Be mindful of the dealership and the issues they deal with on a daily basis. I was not very happy at all, and the service personnel and Kyle had to deal with a very upset customer. After I relaxed some I realized the dealership did not build the unit. My anger was misplaced. And I apologized to them. So be prepared. Manufacturers have decided to push units out fast, and let the dealership deal with it. Not fair for dealerships. In conclusion. Be very thorough during walk through. Have everything annotated. If issue won't hinder camping go for it. If it will, don't take it! read more

I bought a 2020 pioneer in Caledonia New York. I paid for a prep which I personally think prep should be already done without paying for it but I paid for prep. I bought the five-year bumper-to-bumper warranty. It was delivered. AC kicked out. I realized that the water tank would not work on Electric only propane, I complained they came out a week or so later (the service guy is very nice) and the temperature went way down into the 30s so in order to see if the AC was working right he had to put the furnace on, the furnace was broken so he had to fix the furnace and it needed a computer board. He had to fix the hot water tank on the electric side. These things should've been found in prep, granite moving things around something things come disconnected, but a service guy doesn't see something disconnected and sees it doesn't work it's broke. I had a problem with the AC again. It popped the main breaker as the pole. I was told it was the campsite problem not the camper so the maintenance guy came put a brand new breaker in, fast-forward two weeks in between it was cool didn't really need AC, this past week it was hot. I was stupid and didn't come check it during the week during the day but I work from 6 to 6 in daycare five days a week, so I have a long weekend coming up and come out no AC at all, main breakers fine because microwave is working so it's not the breaker. I tried even the fan part of the AC nothing, I have no AC it's 90° outside either I pack up and go home and ruin my Fourth of July weekend or stay in a hot box. My call to Meyers went to the.GM service was closed, general manager said well it happens I said but I already complained about AC having a problem and they wouldn't believe me the person at the service place. Robin was screaming at me telling me it wasn't the camper. It was the breaker well guess what, it wasn't a breaker I am not happy at all. I paid $1500 for prep the wanted $2000 I said that was ridiculous. $1500 for the prep and I paid about 17,000+ tax and a warranty for my camper for it to constantly have issues. These aren't all the issues, I've have had many other smaller issues. These are three main issues after them supposedly prepping it that I paid for. read more

I would give 0 stars if possible. Despite having paid, the vehicle remains inoperable and unregistered over 7 !!! weeks later. At the time of purchase, the dealership promised the following would be addressed and covered under warranty: * A gas tank system issue * A malfunctioning driver screen * A roof issue (potential leak or structural defect) In addition, we were promised temporary license plates so we could legally operate the vehicle. To date, none of these obligations have been fulfilled. We have made repeated attempts to follow up by phone, and while initial communication was courteous, all recent efforts have been ignored, with no call-backs or resolution offered. Let start by first saying, they sold us a camper that was on consignment and never told us. They charged us for a XLX camper when it was only a XL they also told us that it had features it does not have. They never fixed the things they were supposed to fix. They charged us to register the camper and we never even drove the camper they brought it to us since there is no title and can not be registered. I called them 20 times plus multiple text messages about not registering the camper yet they did. Never received my gift card. Now they won't even return my phone calls. Extremely Disappointed - Will Never Return I've had nothing but a poor experience with Meyers, both when purchasing our RV and during follow-up repairs. They clearly do not take pride in their work. The repairs were sloppy at best--bent parts were reused and simply caulked over, rubber marks were left unbuffed despite promises to clean them up, the damaged vapor barrier was not replaced, and they didn't install the necessary support strips to stabilize the fender. The fuel door was never replaced. Even something as simple as the wheel barring cap on the tire was not replaced. They had our RV for over a month and a half, yet communication was severely lacking. I called multiple times, left messages, and never received a call back--only occasional texts to my husband. Completely unprofessional. Our buying experience was no better. The RV we initially agreed to purchase was sold out from under us. There were major delays and broken promises regarding the installation of a rear awning--it took months and required constant chasing for updates. Meyers may be conveniently located, but it's been nothing but a headache. Poor service, poor communication, and poor workmanship. This is an update, and it didn't get any better. After a few more months of not getting it registered, they finally gave up and sent all of the paperwork and a check to the RMV to me so go do it myself. Took me two visits to the RMV because the paperwork was not right. Since I had not registered the new RV for 8 months at that point, I was charged an $840 penalty and $220 interest on the tax. As you can imagine, I had to pay the difference from the check they sent. The title clerk at Meyer's had me send the receipt to reimburse me for what I had to pay out of pocket. From that point forward, I have had no responses out of Meyer's and have never been reimbursed for the fees they caused. read more

Customer service is terrible. We bought a new 5th wheel camper on July 18th. We were set for delivery to the campground where we are "permanents" within the next 2 weeks. In prepping our camper the service workers discovered a stress fracture on the fiberglass on one side. In order to repair this damage (note this is a brand new Reflection by Grand Design) they needed Grand Design to approve the repair. Here we are more than a month later and this approval has not yet been received. We have made our first payment on the 5th wheel with no delivery date in sight. No one at the dealership seems overly concerned. They've made the sale. They have their money. I would never recommend Meyer's in Caledonia as a place to go to buy a camper. read more

Their Rv porter that transports RVs doesn't have a medical DOT card. Their transport vehicle are a safety hassart. I'll ammend this should anything change, but as of last night, I sadly must leave a negative review of my experience with the Meyers in Caledonia's sales department. Despite initially feeling optimistic about our potential purchase, my husband and I ultimately decided to withdraw and request our deposit back. We were deeply disappointed by the dealership's unethical tactics of quoting a lower price to get us to drive up there but then find out that it was at a hidden higher interest rate on a dealer financing contingency that was never spoken of. My best advice is to to RUN from both Meyers and Compass Warranty Meyers' service writers are Completely incompetant - & unable to facilitate the simplest warranty work . They had my motor home for Months & accomplished nothing . The "service "writers refuse to answer or return calls Meyers is a joke & so is the Compass extended warranty they PUSHED on me at the time of sale. Purchased our new 2022 Coachmen Catalina from Meyers in Branchville NJ in September 2022 since they had the unit we were looking for and were closest to our home. Siedha handled our sale and we were generally pleased with that experience. We also bought the extended warranty they offered and had a few options added before delivery and that's where I began to doubt the quality of the work their service dept. could deliver. About a month ago I discovered a few construction flaws in the trailer, one of which was somewhat serious and a safety issue. Imagine my surprise when I called the Branchville service dept. for in-warranty correction of these issues, was told the service manager was no longer there, and was further informed by another person that they "were not taking in any new service work". I politely informed them that I was not a new customer and had recently purchased the trailer from their store. The same person said "I realize that but we're very short on staff and have no room in the shop." They also said I could try taking it to another Meyers location but the closest one was about 4 hours away. After contacting the service rep at Forest River, they gave me some other authorized Coachmen dealers who could provide the needed service. It seems that Meyers Branchville concentrates primarily on sales and by my experience, along with the other reviews I see on this site, they fail miserably on service. We almost bought a camper from them. Most of the employees I dealt with in the albany ny store will make promises and then not follow thru. The camper we were looking at was a Fuzion Impact 3120. We signed papers and they had a list of issues to fix. We had a delivery date. Drove 4 hours one way with trade based on them saying camper was all set. It was not, they were still repairing massive water leak. We had them flat cancel loan. We were told they would do that right away. Every week that i called they said that it was done. One month later M&T bank loan is now gone. We dodged a bullet not getting this camper from Meyers. By the way they offered a $500 gift certificate for our troubles. Finance lady pushing papers in front of us stating "this paper just says this - sign here"-over and over again. Pushing us so we didn't have time to look them over. So shame on us we really should have read them well, because had we- would of backed out of deal immediately. And they don't give you the paperwork, they give you a thumb drive so you don't have the papers in front of you to look over. That night after discussing and realizing the big mistake we made and what it was going to cost in the long run we decided to cancel the deal. So called the next day to inform her we wanted to cancel the deal _ NOPE it was a done deal. No 3 days to back out of deal like with most large purchases. She tells me, well you signed this "paper", which neither of us remember seeing and signing several ones she said we did. So after much discussion, we decided we will just pay cash for the RV (taking all the $ we have been saving for retirement) - no financing, no trade-in, no nothing! Called finance lady back to tell her we want to pay cash - NOPE - have to keep loan for at least a year!!!!!!!!!! Besides that when the finance lady came back to the table, she stated loudly that my credit score was better than my husband's and proceeded to say out loud what they were! She thought it was funny and was laughing about it. Mind you there are several tables of people in the same area. My husband is talking to a lawyer about this. I will tell everyone I know and post how awful this place is til I'm blue in the face. Never will I ever recommend this place to anyone! read more

Recently bought a 2010 Jayco Seneca from Myers RV from the beginning I have been coned, lied to, sold Warranty's I said I didn't want my down payment went from 20k to 32k all sleazily put in to my financing additionally the coach i bought had a satellite dish first time i went to use it it didn't work Myers refused to repair it due to I didn't say it didn't work before we left the lot as there was no receiver till I put 1 in to tell if it worked and the supposed Warranty they sold me refused to cover it as they have me no ware in their records, also note I repaired the furnace and hot water tank cleaned out the dead mice and mouse poop the pre delivery prep team should all be fired as should the finance con men working for Myers, I can't think of much good to say about Myers RV and would not recommend then to anyone read more

Purchased a Forrester Forest River from Myers, Bath, NY in 2020. Sent in for routine maintenance in fall of 2020 at Myers in Churchville including NYS inspection and would not pass due to a rear light that was out. We authorized repair. Following repair, we were informed by service that the light was tied into a camera and, that too became part of the labor cost. This was not a big deal and we paid it. We then stored the unit for winter of 2020. In Spring of 2021, when we pulled the unit out, we noticed the radio head unit was now inoperable. We immediately called Myers and they informed us it likely happened when the camera was removed because of the light repair-the camera was tied into the head unit. Because we were scheduled to go on a trip, we made a later appointment for the head unit repair and were assured it would be covered. We use our camper all summer and agreed that service could make the repairs at the end of the year upon our next routine maintenance. I made my usual fall appointment for routine maintenance and again discussed the radio with service. Because of this particular work, they sent us to their Caledonia location. My appointment was scheduled for November 4. 2021 and included oil change, tire rotation, NYS inspection, winterization and repair of the radio head unit. After a couple of weeks, I called to follow up on pickup status. I was told that all that was done was the winterization. Upon asking why, I was told that they focus on winterization for ALL units this time of year and delay other work. Why, then, did I have an appointment? I tried to be understanding and asked for follow up in 2 more weeks as I needed to make storage preparations. Again, weeks went by and again I was advised none of the remaining work was done. I insisted that it be completed ASAP. Again, I followed up I approximately 2 weeks and was advised that none of the remaining work was done but that the radio is in was ordered. Again, weeks, and no updates. I called and was told there where problems with Myers paying for the radio. I clarified that because Myers was responsible for the damage they would be paying. I was again, assured this was the case. At this point, my storage options were to leave the unit at Myers for the winter or take the unit to my own storage. In order to minimize driving I opted to leave the unit at Myers for a period of time. I was frustrated but felt this would give them ample time to rectify everything. Fast forward to March, 2022. I called for an update and was told I was now responsible for radio unit payment! I had to retell this whole story again and waste much of my time getting them to pay. After several weeks, they agreed to pay in what they called "good faith" as if doing me a favor. They unit had not yet been ordered and now I had to wait longer for them to get it I called again in mid March and told them I'd like to pick the unit up in a week or so. Still.... No radio unit. After calling twice week for several weeks for updates I was finally told that the radio was repaired but that Myers damaged our dashboard in the process. They said they ordered a new one. You can imagine my frustration. Then, the day before a scheduled pickup time (March 31,2022) we were told the wrong dash color was sent to Myers and they have no idea how to get the right part or from whom. I mostly dealt with Brittany at Caledonia. Ludicrous. Never again. read more

I refuse to go back and I have just started to protest their location with signs about their terrible service department every chance I get. I still have warranty items that never were addressed. Dear Mark Meyers, Your immediate action is needed!! I called Brittney (contact person for all my services) to have my camper winterized at the end of the 2021 camping season and paid for the service in full. My camper was scheduled to be picked up in May 2022 for a trip on June 1, 2022 and it WAN NOT winterized. This caused extensive damage to my camper. The sink was broken, water pump broken, leaks, water behind the water heater, and soft floors. Per the work order, they knew of the damages on May 4, 2022 but never called to inform me despite having all my contact information. Meyers then scheduled me to pick up my camper on May 16, 2022 knowing the extent of the damages. I spoke to Matt (service manager at Caledonia location), on 5/18/2022. He called me a liar, a thief, and to "PROVE IT". I explained to Matt that my camper has been stored and serviced by Meyers since 2019 when I purchased it from Meyers in Churchville. I told Matt that this was a phone conversation between Brittney and I and the invoice was never mailed to me (no invoices and phone request are common practices at Meyers). Matt told me that I was not making sense, that I was trying to get free services, and that he was not making any repairs to my unit. I asked for the invoice from January 2022 where I have bank statements to prove I paid $235 for services and he could/would not produce them. When I told him I would go to corporate to report him, he said "good luck, we're family owned" and hung up. I had to pull my bank statements, phone records, and text messages to prove that I did in fact ask for winterization and it was not completed. I spoke to Mike (sales manager at Caledonia) because Matt refused to meet with me and was laughed at when I explained the situation. I asked to speak to Brittney and I was not allowed, when I asked LaDonna (front desk person at Caledonia) for a copy of all my invoices she was told by Mike to "Stop Looking" and to "Stay out of it". After this atrocious treatment and me having to prove my case because Meyers cannot produce any paperwork, Brittney called me Friday evening (5/20) to say repairs have been made! This was the first call back I received from Meyers despite countless messages left, having to wait on hold, and being promised call backs that never happened. I am asking that Matt (service manager) be present during the walk through to ensure all repairs have been properly made and that Meyers will stand behind those repairs. I need all my invoice of service along with my winterization charge returned to me since the service was never completed. I can tell you sales is awesome. They'll promise you the best service and that you'll be taking care of compared to their competitors. After the sale is where I found it was all a lie. I've been waiting several months for my refrigerator to get fixed under warranty. They finally got me scheduled and the day before my mobile service, I called to verify tech was coming to fix fridge. She ensured they were coming and needed nothing more of me. Fast forward to the following day. I come to the camper and the fridge not touched with no phone call, no heads up, and 300 dollars worth of groceries. I called to see what happened and my concern with the lack of communication and poor service. The person told me the service guy was tied up with a customer and If I could leave my name and number they would call me back. Guess what? They didn't call back! I called back and they said service guys left for the day. Not really eager to remedy the situation, make me wait two months, no call, no show, don't call me back after issue, and have the audacity to tell me they left for the day! Long story short, don't fall for the sales pitch! ***UPDATE: tech finally made it out to determine the fridge was a fan failure (which I already troubleshooted for them and stated prior to coming and now I have to wait for him to get fans). Tech stated he would call me following day to try and get used fans to install to get me by for all my troubles. Who would of thought, no call back again! Left a message and ensured I would get a call back and still haven't received a call in over a week. Service department leaves building at 5pm and sales team leaves at 7pm. That speaks volumes in itself. Next step is calling grand design in hopes they fix the terrible customer service for one of the dealers that's represents them. read more

We purchased an rv from Meyers and it needed some warranty work. We live near Pittsburgh and took it to their site there. They botched the job and they told us to bring it in again and they would fix it. They had it multiple months and did nothing until we needed it for camping season. They then botched it on a bigger scale. We had to return for a third time. They had it from November until May and did nothing to it. We got it back and started conversations to just take a settlement. We agreed on an amount and we have never heard from them again. After repeated calls to the manager and General manager, I am warning others to beware. They are all talk and NO ACTION. read more

My experience with Meyers RV of Caledonia NY has been terrible. They sold me a RV that was unsafe and unusable as designed, to drive off their lot. They charged me a $1500 prep fee and said it was ready. At the dealer lot we got locked out due to a faulty lock, at home found windshield washer fluid didn't work, high beams didn't work, can't flush black tank, can't hook up LP hose to use outside grill, shower handles installed upside down, can't put cap on black tank discharge hose, outside furnace door doesn't latch, power tower doesn't charge, registration expired, kitchen draw delaminated pulling off product label, kitchen faucet leaking, coach sleeps 3 but only has seat belts for 2. Third person can't travel with the coach, RV smoke detector fell and broke. I bought a lemon. Worst of all Meyers reps of Caledonia blow me off and sends me to VM with no return calls to many calls for help. Had to cancel anniversary trip and Florida trip due to all the coach problems. The worst run company I've ever experience. Asked for rip-off prep fee back, no reply. Will share this with all my RV friends. Love the coach, even more when fixed, wish I bought it from a different dealer. read more

Greed, greed and greed. That's all your need to know. Sure, in 2021 it's a seller's market. 2020 and '21 saw skyrocketing increases in RV sales. Does that give dealers the right to grab every $ out of customers' pockets? It depends on the dealer. Meyers appears to take this advantage to new heights of greed and bad faith opportunism. Looked at a trailer with a $21,660 MSRP, and a low retail of $16,150. The clownish salesperson, Anna, touted how family owned Meyers had competitive prices yet they priced this trailer at $22,950 - that's an instant $1300 in their pockets. Okay, not the end of the world. Businesses are in it to make $$$. However, upon arrival, Anna immediately began sending signals undervaluing our trade-in, an immaculate but older trailer that has an NADA retail price between $9500 and $10,750. We had already received a trade-in offer of $12,000. It was said the trailer was too old for the lot and it would be auctioned. She came back from the Sales Manager with a beyond insulting $1000 offer, making the sale price of the new trailer $21,950. We obviously declined and countered with $14,950 - an $8000 allowance on our used trailer, or lowering the asking price for the new trailer. Or both. The next move was idiotic. Anna declined the offer out of hand but did not make a counter... basically telling us to get lost. Big mistake for which she should be fired. A decline should lead to a counter - or not - from the Sales Manager. It is their final decision to make, not an idiotic salesman. BTW, slippery Anna told us there was a $984 dealer prep fee. We told her we weren't going to pay it - a dealbreaker. Angels sing as lo and behold a miracle - after telling the Sales Manager, the $984 Dealer Prep fee disappeared. Imagine that!!! Doing a bit of math, Meyers stood to make about $13,000 on this sale given we paid what they asked plus accepting the outrageous Dealer Prep and grossly undervalued trade-in: $22,950 (asking price) minus $14, 350 (approximate cost to Meyer of the new trailer - 75% of low retail) $8600 (profit) plus $984 (bogus Dealer Prep fee) equals $9584 (subtotal profit) minus $1000 (offer for used trailer) equals $8584 (profit) $4500 (minimum actual auction return on used trailer) $13,084 (Total Profit) Our offer of $14,950 would net Meyer about $6100. Isn't this enough? Oh, we forgot. This is a seller's market. However, these things go in cycles. The projection is 2022 will see RV sales slow and prices plummet. Soon, Meyer will be scrambling for customers. When that day arrives, go somewhere else. For that matter go somewhere else now. We will never return. There are too many dealers in Central NY. Meyer' greed and Anna's unprofessional attitude left a lingering bad taste in the mouth. And for God's sake, Do Not Pay For Dealer Prep. It's a HUGE ripoff. Stick to your guns. They'll fold. We bought our RV through Meyers and purchased the extended warranty through them. I highly don't recommend going to Meyers, recently some major warranty work was needed on our camper and they said it would take 2-3 months and they could start working on it at the end of November so we dropped it off then, it is now almost the end of December and they haven't even touched it. "Chatted" online to check the availability of a certain RV and I was assured they had them in stock for me to look at. Drove out to them (35 minutes each way) and they didn't have what they claimed to have. Wasted trip. Obviously they just wanted to get me into their showroom. Great place to buy a RV we just bought a used Jayco pinnacle fifth wheel at Churchville from Don Mchale from the moment we walked in to the dealership Everyone was very friendly Don had the RV brought inside over night so it was dry to check it over we also were very happy with the deal we made we got a good trade in price on our used camper even the owner came to over and thanked us for coming in , Meyer's will get all our business and will highly recommend them to anyone else !! read more

I have brought my class A motorhome to Meyers in Caledonia twice. Each time the quality of the work was first class. In addition my bill on each occasion was well below my expectations. Sure their customer service phone system can be a little squirrelly but hey they are excellent when it counts. read more

This is the first review I have ever written. This review is in reference to the Meyer's RV service location in Caledonia New York. We recently bought a new trailer in December from a different dealer from out of town. We realized that our RV fridge didn't work on electric because of a bad circuit board and our door needed an adjustment. I scheduled a diagnostic appointment so that they can go ahead and order my part. Doreen says "We will call you as soon as the part comes in". We left the trailer there for 6 days. The day before I go to pick it up (80 miles away) Doreen confirmed what I knew and a control board was ordered. then asks; can the door be adjusted when the board comes in?- Huh?? It's been there for 6 days. Ok I let that slide. Now I schedule an appointment 3 weeks later after she assures me that the board will be in and ready to install. This time I tell her that I will be waiting while they install this part. The Tuesday before my Saturday appointment I still have not received confirmation that my part is in, I call just to make sure. She tells me....." she can't help me right now, It's been a real stressful day and she's short staffed, I'll write your name down" I have never had anybody from customer service tell me their personal problems before so I didn't know how to react. I really just wanted to not drive 180 miles and lose 3 hours of my life again for no reason. I was mildly satisfied that she wrote my name down though. So, again I let it slide and give her some decompression space. So now it's Thursday, still no confirmation. I leave a message with "Cheryl" and she assures me that she will pass the message on to her. (I believe her). Friday comes, Now I text my concern to Doreen on their company text page. Still nothing. So we keep our scheduled appointment for Sat morning with absolutely no communication as to weather we have a part to put in our trailer. We were the first ones in the parking lot. The first issue was that Doreen (who was off on Saturday) had us scheduled for a drop off and not a wait appointment. Britney ( A real nice girl who got stuck in the middle of this cluster) tried to salvage our day and make something happen for us. While she tried to make sense of the order slip, she realized that there was a discrepancy of weather I needed a control board or a fuse. Either way, none of the items were ordered. Britney gave us a complimentary top off for our propane which we've had to use to cool our fridge. that was the only bright spot in this whole scenario. She suggested that I call the manager to at least get some answers to when my part or parts might actually come in. I thanked her and set my sights on Monday to try to settle this mess. Monday I call at 10 AM to speak with Matt the Manager, I left a quick message and a call back number. Guess what? Three days later and still no call back. They must both be drinking the same Kool-aide. Were totally done with these inept people. Now I'M stressed Doreen. Get out Britney while you can you deserve a better less stressful company to work for. Update: I called Buffalo RV. was able to speak with a REAL service person "Ryan" on the first call. He took down all my info, He then tried to help me find a remedy over the phone to save me a trip. called me back in 20 minutes, scheduled my appointment three days out and assures me that his vendor has my part in stock and can get it in within1 day. What a refreshingly great example of what customer service should be. Everything was great. From the first call to driving the trailer out of the lot. No high pressure. Great customer service. Our sales person Chad Villnow was amazing. The business manager Jason Rechichi was fair and easy going. Would recommend them to everyone. Plus we love our Grand Design trailer. read more
