We have been eating here quite frequently since discovering it last spring. The staff is great, so friendly and attentive. The food is pretty good! Nothing is very spicy but everything is well seasoned. I'm not a huge fan of the regional white sauce and theirs is probably my least favourite and the rib eye is NOT good, very rubbery and fatty and overcooked, however everything else has been 100% on point every other visit. The pork burritos, the nachos, the seafood chimichangas... everything has been wonderful! Love the rice and beans, the rice has never been old and bland, always fresh and flavourful. The complimentary salsa and chips are great, always fresh too! Definitely recommended. read more

The food turned out to be quite bland unfortunately. We ordered tacos & ceviche and we're disappointed in both. The meat was browned well and had good texture in the tacos but they were very underwhelming. Salsa for the chips tasted like plain tomatoes and was not flavorful nor spicy at all. I was a little disappointed after visiting this restaurant for the first time. I ordered the ribeye steak burrito. My order was a carry out. I only live about five minutes from this restaurant so my commute there was pretty quick. When I got home and opened the food containers the food was barely lukewarm. The steak was rubbery and had a lot of fat on it, and not very tasty at all. Maybe they were having an off night but I'll never know, I don't plan on going back! Excellent place! I wish this restaurant was located where I live! The food was so very good, shrimp cocktail was full of fresh shrimp, perfect amount of spices etc, the horchata was the best I had lately, great food, believe me I'm Mexican so I know my Mexican food. The service was top notch, I myself am a restaurant manager so I'm picky about that, but the servers were great, the busser etc. and the manager was also great at checking on us. This is our new absolute favorite for Mexican food. The staff is so hard working they run everywhere. You get large servings and the salsa choices white and red are both suburb. The burritos are large and stuffed to capacity. The fajitas are fantastic and the chips are housemade as is the guacamole. We absolutely love this place!! read more

My family and I used to go here all the time since it was a good restaurant around the area. Well that has ALL changed! We've walked out twice now when we were seated and tonight we ordered a to go order and they said 20 minutes. We got there and 3 times we had to ask for our food and when it finally came out 30 minutes later it was wrong. Tried to charge us again for something that was already in the bill, rediculous. We said forget it and wanted our money back and that took over 10 minutes since they couldn't work the machine. We will NEVER go here again. Service is horrible. read more

I tried this restaurant out for the first time the other day. I had the chicken tacos with rice and beans and an order of the guacamole and cheese dip...my impression was that this food was prepared by people not too familiar with cooking Mexican food..the rice look like rice out of the box, the beans were OK, the chicken look like it was cooked by someone who has never made Mexican food before..everything was pretty bland...the only good thing was the cheese dip..... even the salsa taste like it came out of a jar..... needless to say I definitely will not be returning, especially after paying $25 for this so called Mexican food read more

The worst ever. I ordered 4 tacos 2 chicken and 2 beef. Lettuce and tomatoes with spicy sauce. Well I received only 1 beef no lettuce and tomatoes or sauce. They weren't crunchy either. Tried this new restaurant for the first time today. It was okay. Nice clean spacious restaurant, attentive waiter, food was fairly good, just not as flavorful as I expect from Mexican food. Kind of bland. If you prefer non-spicy Mexican food, this is your place. I had a chicken chimichanga for lunch. Chicken was good. It was smothered in queso sauce. Oh, and they serve the weird white sauce--typical of many Mex places in the VA tidewater area-- alongside the salsa. This was the first and definitely the last time I would ever order from them I ordered a beef burrito that was supposed to be filled with rice beans and beef which there was very little beef ordered a side of Refried beans which were like baby food and the tacos had no flavor to them at all with the order was the salsa and chips for salsa is more like spaghetti sauce very disappointed read more

Living in the Fox Hill area we were excited about the first Mexican restaurant that I can recall opening in the area in many years that's not a chain. I was out of town when they opened and when I came for dinner about 3 weeks afterwards I was really surprised at the number of diners. How could they possibly be such a hit after only one month after opening? Doesn't it take longer than that to win over customers? The answer is the wait staff knows what they're doing, no seemingly trainees here, the food is good and abundant, lots of yummy cheese, etc, sauces on the plate to slurp. Also I love the cozy booths and the lighting is perfect. Since Sept I'm averaging at least one night a week there, great place to also go alone and do a little phone catchup and relax with a champagne margarita, yep a bottle of champagne upside down in your margarita! Try this place, it's also a great place to throw your kid a birthday party, I'll probably be there! read more

My husband and I went there for dinner last night. The staff are excellent and very attentive. The food was great, we both had an Hawaiian burrito. Large portions and great taste. My family and I tried out Mezcal this past weekend and it was great! The pork for the tacos melted in your mouth and the beef on the enchiladas was seasoned and cooked perfectly. They still have a few kinks to work out being a new restaurant, but we will definitely be back. read more
