This was my first time at Si Senor. It's a small, cozy restaurant located in Hilton. The staff were very friendly and attentive. I had a strawberry margarita and it did not disappoint. Stopped in for a quick lunch and everything was great. The restaurant was clean and had booths and tables. Pretty soon after I was seated, a woman dropped off chips and salsa. Right after that a server came and asked for my drink order. I also requested the white sauce for the chips. Salsa had a little kick and the white sauce too! I ordered the 3 combo meal and had a chicken taco, chicken enchilada and Chile rellano and with rice no bean. All was delicious. Good sauce on the enchilada and Chile rellano. I've passed by this place numerous times but just now decided to try it. I never expect much from small places like this, but the exterior here definitely does not match the interior! It's a very warm, small restaurant, and I'm sure it depends on the time of day and day of the week that you visit, but I had dinner here tonight around 4pm, and there weren't many people. It was a very nice and quiet dinner as a person who hates loud or obnoxious places. I just got my normal order that I usually get at any Mexican restaurant, which is a cheese quesadilla and rice: a delicious masterpiece for picky eaters. The rice tasted a tad bit different from other Mexican restaurants I've eaten at, but it was very good! And the quesadilla was nice and crispy, with lots of flavor on the tortilla. Si Señor has been on my short list for a while and I've wondered if they were going to be successful opening right when the lockdown orders started. The answer is yes, it seems that they took their time to get the experience just right. Complimentary chips, salsa and white sauce? Of course. QR codes on the table to review the dinner and drink menus? Sure, it's the new standard! Quick service and refills throughout our meal? Yup. I ordered the Carnitas Dinner (pork tips) and my husband ordered the Carne Azada. The Carnitas we're fork tender, moist, pretty perfectly cooked, The Steak was flavorful and also tender, exactly what we were looking for. Pro Tip: We saw HUGE margaritas on most of the tables and reviewed the drinks list for the answer; first time I've seen Margs available in S/M/L and judging by the size, everyone skipped straight to the Large (approx $12.99), seems like a fantastic value. We were looking for a place for a large crowd on a Saturday evening and you it was going to be a challenge. I called ahead and asked if they had availability that would mean we would be there within the next 20 minutes and they were gracious enough to say of course and had our table ready for us when we arrived. We were a table of 10 and that included two children and they had everything ready upon arrival. The service was great and so are the drinks my daughter recommended the margarita special of the house that came with a wonderful spicy jalapeños. It was delicious. I ordered shrimp tacos and enjoyed my food very much. My husband ordered the fajitas mixed is and enjoyed them as well. We will definitely return! They have changed their business plan and now cater to large loud parties. We have been coming here about 4 to 6 times a month since they opened but in the last 6 months they have been catering to loud uncontrolled parties that spill over into our table and meal. The last time we were there about 1:30 and could not have a conversation because of the large loud table near by. We had to text each other. The waiter could not understand what we asked for. The waiter forgot about us and our food came out late and dry , like it sat under a heat lamp for a long time. We will not be returning unless they get a new owner or manager and change their business practices. A shame. We live only a few blocks away. Hope they sell. read more

My wife and I arrived around 2pm and there were only a few other patrons in the restaurant. We were greeted promptly and seated. The server took our drink order quickly and served us the complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa was very good and the chips were warm. The salsa was homemade and had a great flavor. The menu was rather large and they have a great selection of traditional Mexican dishes. The server allowed us plenty of time to make our selection. After ordering the food, in was brought to the table by a different individual from the kitchen. I had the chile verde and my wife ordered chimichangas. The food was very hot and had great flavor. I would recommend either dish. This is the part of the review where you realize why it was only 4 stars not 5. After we received our food we did not see our server again at all anywhere in the restaurant. We had to flag down another server to refills our drinks, chips, and salsa. I can only assume his shift was over but he did not perform a handoff or give us any indication he would not return. It could have been an emergency but you most would notify the patron before leaving or have a coworker greet us to inform us of the change. Overall I would return and try a different menu item. The atmosphere was quiet and made it easy to talk. The restaurant was well lit and clean. I would recommend but wonder if they were busy if the service could become an issue. read more

After seeing reviews of this restaurant, my girlfriend and I decided to check them out. Actually, this isn't our first visit. Before, there were some mixed results but going back the 2nd time around wouldn't be a bad thing. Result? We were seated right away upon entering. We didn't order any appetizers since we always eat complimentary chips and salsa (both the red and white salsas are pretty good), none were needed. For our meals, we ordered the same thing: Taco Salad Texano (mine without sour cream). Both came with grilled chicken, steak, shrimp, lettuce, tomato and cheese dip. There was something else we found out: the taco salad came with onions and peppers, which wasn't mentioned on the menu (their Nachos Texanos dish did mention onions and peppers on print though). My girlfriend doesn't like neither but they were able to fix the problem in no time. We did point it out to our waitress who noticed the issue and apologized the inconvenience. Besides the snafu, we both loved our dish. Very flavorful and our proteins were well-cooked. This truely filled us up and no desserts were needed to complete our visit. Besides the error (which hopefully can be fixed down the road), this was a very nice lunch on hand. As always, we will return very soon. read more

Customer service was lacking. Takeout order took 75 minutes! The host said that they only had 1 cook on a Friday night and only after I'd mentioned that I'd already waited an hour!! If they'd been transparent when ordering I'd have gone somewhere else. Have eaten here many times, but this is hands down the worst experience I've had. My son and I fled the terrible food at Busch Gardens amusement park and we stopped here. I am from Texas and I often complain about the mexican food on the east coast. Not this place, though. Could not be more thrilled that a new restaurant has arrived in Hilton Village! In place of the old Rosalita's (which was one of our favorites) comes Si Senor. They just recently opened and they have a lot of potential. I came in this past Saturday (which I forgot was Valentine's Day weekend) to check everything out - after a long day of cleaning, I was famished. First off, the parking lot was packed. I was lucky to get a spot. It took a while for me to be seated, even as a singleton because the place was already hoppin'. The interior is quite a departure from the previous layout. There is no central bar area now, just a hostess station and tables. Slightly disappointing, but they do have a full drink menu available once you get seated at your table. Once I got sat, I plowed through the menu -- they appear to have all of your standard Americanized-Mexican food that you'd expect of any other locally owned Mexican place. Given that, I decided to pick some of my go-to favorites to compare them to other places I visit nearby often - a glass of wine, the cheese dip, pork tacos and beans. The wine - it's drinkable. Nothing fancy, but also not unpalatable. The cheese dip was a little thin for my liking, but the flavor profile was there. The complementary chips and salsa were ok -- not the best I've had in the area (chips were a bit stale, and they serve that weird white sauce that Americans like so much). But then I got the street tacos - and WOW - that's where it's at. The pork was delicious, the pico the perfect accent. Amazing. The beans came out legit cold - like they hadn't even been cooked at all. Service was on the slower side, but very very friendly. I think at this point they are still working out the kinks -- so I went with a 4 instead of a 3. I'm hoping based on those tacos that my subsequent visits will be smoother, and I look forward to trying some of my other favorites to see if they knock it out of the park like those tacos! read more

For a Saturday night the place was relatively empty. Somehow we still were overlooked by one of the employees at the front when we arrived. I understand she was busy doing something else but a simple " someone will be right with you " would've sufficed. Instead we awkwardly stood there in silence. While we waited to be acknowledged I went to the bathroom. When I came out my boyfriend had been seated. He'd already ordered our drinks and an appetizer(wings). The drinks were really good and so was the chicken. However we had finished all but three of the wings and about half our drinks before we saw our waitress again to place our orders. Our food was good and hot with hearty portions. However service is seriously lacking. She forgot my boyfriends hot sauce and we never were given plates for our app. For this reason alone we won't be back. This seems like the type of place where if you aren't a regular you don't get paid much attention.definitely a mom and pop place. read more
