Service was adequate, but my table wasn't visited as frequently as I observed the service at other tables. It happens. I shrugged, ate, and tipped. The most recent time (the previous review) was a covid-era pick up. My grammar was lacking in that post - it was that visit only when the cashier looked right past me even though I was standing right in front of him at the register. Great Mexican food hidden in a small shopping center in Hampton. My husband loves the seafood enchiladas while I prefer the fajita taco salad. It is wonderful to find a great restaurant so close to home! read more

We love Mezcal and order regularly. First, We wish that the vegetarian menu was available for online ordering. And second, we also wish that the vegetarian menu would contain an item such as a burrito or enchiladas that include broccoli, zuchini, squash, cauliflower at least some kind of other vegetables. Fajita onions, peppers and beans can't be the only option to make everything "vegetarian". We really do love Mezcal and think the vegetarian menu could use a little touch up! read more

This place is so good. Im a vegetarian and the vegetarian section is good, but not far from your typical vegetarian options bean burrito, cheese quesadilla, fajitas etc. I wanted something different. They have a chipotle burrito that I subbed black beans for the chicken, it was phenomenal! We also ordered the California fries with black beans instead of Carne Asada...again...phenomenal. Good food, friendly staff but the cheese dip is watery, at least when I had it. Like c'mon don't skimp on the cheese dip.

I always enjoy this place. Friendly, great food and that Jumbo margarita is the bomb.

I used to love Mezcal, their service was great and their food was even better. But for whatever reason, it's gone downhill since they raised their prices. The server has been way slower, and now they even charge for extra chips and salsa without even telling us? Where's the white sauce? Won't be coming back here anymore :( read more

We went to this restaurant with a group of 13 to celebrate my Sister's birthday on a Tuesday night. The restaurant is in a strip mall with a dollar store, seafood carryout, tax preparation office and gym. It's not much to look at from the outside, but the inside is nicely furnished and clean. You need to wear a mask when not sitting at your table. Certain tables were blocked off to keep social distancing due to COVD19. There is hand sanitizer available at the hostess desks and the staff is constantly wiping down the tables and doors. We had called ahead and the table was ready as we arrived. Not all in our party arrived at the same time, so we ordered drinks. It was during happy hour so they had drink specials including medium draft beer and small margaritas. I ordered the Medium Dos Equis on draft and a water. The medium beer was huge, ice cold and delicious! The drinks were constantly being checked on and refilled as needed. Chips, salsa & a white dipping sauce (like ranch dressing) were brought out immediately. The chips were fresh and lightly salted. The salsa was delicious and not too spicy. It had diced tomatoes, onions and fresh cilantro. I believe our waiters name was Alexandro and he was very attentive and had a great attitude. One person in our party wanted a bottle of white zinfandel. Our waiter said if they didn't have it behind their full bar, they would go get it for us. There is an ABC store (sells liquor only) and a grocery store (sells beer & wine) within walking distance of the restaurant. What great service! The menu has a vast selection and our group ordered multiple items including fajitas, spinach enchiladas, steak burrito, steak quesadillas. Special request such as different sauces on the enchiladas was no problem and the orders were all correct. The fajitas were sizzling on a cast iron grill with bell peppers and onions. The beans, rice, lettuce, tomato and sour cream came on a separate plate. I also ordered sliced avocado on the side and they brought me a whole sliced avocado! Nice! Everyone was pleased with the quality and quantity (large portions) of their meals and the prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get. The staff came out & sang happy birthday to my Sister with an order of the fried cheesecake with ice cream, sprinkles, drizzled chocolate syrup and a candle. They also brought a sombrero for her to wear. I highly recommend the fried cheesecake! It is like a cannoli... crispy outer shell and soft, moist cheesecake filling. My brother-In-law surprised us by ordering each person the fried cheesecake! Since the meals were large, most of us ended up taking food home with us. The food tasted very good reheated as well. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys delicious Mexican food at a reasonable cost and excellent service! read more

Keep giving them chances and am disappointed every time. Ordered a burrito especial, burrito practically had no meat in it and was stuffed with just rice. What little meat was in there had little to no flavor whatsoever. For a 16 dollar burrito there are plenty of better options in the area. read more

This locations tucked away in a shopping center, I came here during a somewhat busy Sunday dinner service, it was my first visit, the waitress was really kind and thorough, she asked plenty of questions to avoid any potential miscommunications or issues which I really appreciated. my food was good overall, average but good and cooked to order. I will say that they don't use the regular local white sauce recipe, they use the cool whip one which took me awhile to get comfy with (its not bad at all just different) I'm not huge on cool whip so it took a few bites but I made it through lol. the drinks are strong and they don't skip aso I'll be back soon. read more

Love this place! It's our go to neighborhood restaurant. The burritos are great but my favorite are the Texas nachos!

Today was my very first visit. My friend that I met there had already been there several times prior and loves this restaurant. The waiter was very friendly, accommodating and very attentive. I ordered off of the lunch menu and so did my friend. What I had was very fresh, tasty and a very nice sized portion. I was very pleased all the way around. I will be going back most definitely! I am so sad to say that this place is now skyrocketing into failure. If you are thinking of ordering margaritas there don't bother. I have had tap water with more of a kick.For me and my buddy with food and a couple margaritas (one each watered down nothings) my bill came to 90 dollars. Over all they are a decent, not great, place to get some food. They cannot, what so ever handle a large influx of customers. And especially today on Cinco de Mayo they dropped the ball big time. Everyone's order through out the place was coming out cold or 20 minutes later than everyone else's at their table as was our case. I was craving for a Mexican food today, so I was looking through Dasher app. I found Camarones Al Mojo We Ajo. It said shrimp marinated in garlic. Not!! I did not taste any garlic, love garlic. Chips were a brown bag soaked in oil. The only thing I liked about my order was Daiquiri,but the lid that cane with it did not for the straw to put in to. Too bad the Dasher/Mezcal app don't have which flavor to choose from. I did not finish it, but my husband will. read more

I keep coming here expecting it to be better but I always get sad because this is doesn't even compare to el azteca on coliseum. There's no flavor in the food !!! Like no seasoning, the sauces they use are very bland, and it is over priced. Got a lemon drop here and it came in a tiny shot glass I had more sugar than liquid. I used to love coming here but I have noticed them cutting corners and the food just doesn't have that yum factor anymore.
