The food here is so flavorful and the margaritas are on point. I was searching for a good Mexican spot, and finally, I've found one comparable to one of my favorite restaurants in Texas! I love a good margarita and the fact that they're two for one every day makes it one continuous happy hour lol. I ordered the chicken quesadillas fajitas and can't wait to explore more of the menu. The complimentary chips and salsa are delicious and there is a little salsa station to get verde sauce, roja sauce, pickled onions, jalapeños etc. Love it! read more

Mezcal is fantastic. Excellent restaurant to satisfy my Taco Tuesday! Taking the recommendation from the " Foodies of Lafayette" Facebook group, I decided to try what is deemed some of the best Mexican food in Lafayette. Surprisingly, the restaurant wasn't crowded on Tuesday. Therefore, my parents and I were immediately seated upon arrival. Rosy was our server and the bartender and she was AMAZING! Rosy also makes one heck of a mojito. The Guava flavored one was delightful and delicious. The food was equally as delicious. My mom ordered a dish with shredded pork that was exceptional. Having been to this restaurant several times before with my twin daughters, we have always have a great experience... until last night. Tuesday evenings are "Taco Tuesday" with a weekly special for just that. Tacos were flavorful, just quite oily with us needing to allow the tacos to drip off into the napkins before eating them. Ordered several plates of rice and beans to go with our tacos and found these to be luke warm, maybe. I would guess these plates were assembled ahead of time however, were not kept until a heat lamp. May need to rethink this in the future. read more

Our first time at La Hacienda. No need to look any further for a great Mexican restaurant. The Tortilla soup was rich, flavorful and abundant. Chorizo tacos amazing. Kids had quesadillas. Couldn't be happier. Our server, Joaquin, was fun, professional, knowledgeable and added to our first of many visits for a fun and delicious one. Definitely worth the trip. read more

Went here for dinner with the family, New favorite place for Mexican food in Lafayette. Everything was amazing, we all loved the food, Chips and salsa were also great. Salsa was a little spicy (mild medium) (as it should be) and not a ketchup paste. Had horchatas to drink and was a great combination, not too sweet and not too grainy, perfect thirst quencher! New to Lafayette and for that matter, Louisiana in general. Searched for decent Mexican food in the area and tried the usual suspects; El Paso, La Hacienda, etc, and got pretty much what I expected; I'm better off staying home and making it myself! Then I stumbled on Little Hacienda. Didn't expect much from the outside but what a surprise. Service, food, and drinks were all exceptional. I would have given 4 stars but all the food was just a little over salted. None the less, I will definitely return. It remains the best Mexican I have tried so far in Lafayette. read more
