10+ Mezcalito in Durham is ! We always bring friends & family here when they visiting . Manager& staff mad cool. Tonight we did early father"s dinner and I left my to go plate. It got tossed when table was cleaned. Manager hooked me up. To everybody, this is the spot to eat & drink in Durham never disappoints.

Always enjoy my dining experiences here! They are very fast with great service! During this recent visit our server was very attentive and sweet. She even offered to get me a to go soda after we had already paid and had been sitting there for a little bit just chatting.

Coming from Texas, admittedly, I have really high standards for Mexican food. This place is pretty average taste wise but is better than other Mexican spots I've visited in the RDU area, so I would rate it overall a 3.5. It has great value for the lunchtime meals! $8.99 for some solid chicken tacos with sour cream, pico, all the fixings with sides of rice and beans. Black beans were spicier than expected but I enjoyed! Service was good and the ambience is nice. My main grip is with the parking, which can sometimes be hard to find especially during weekends.

I had a really nice meal at Mezcalito. The enchiladas were excellent--full of flavor and cooked perfectly. The salsa stood out too; it was incredibly fresh and hard to stop eating. Friendly service and consistently good food made this a place I'd be happy to return to. The Christmas atmosphere was very festive!

One word AMAZING! I can't wait to go back and try other options. Our server was Erica and she was the sweetest; the food was HOT and came out fast. We had the pleasure of sitting outside and the service did not suffer. Also they have hand wipes that smell lovely.

So being from LA now living in Dallas I'm a Mexican food savant ... So when I come to a Mexican restaurant in No Carolina Im not expecting much BOY WAS I SURPRISED. Wow with a gold star WOW !!! This place is one of the best Mexican restaurants I have ever been to the spice pallet is spot on spicy but not overboard starting with the setting a great outdoor dining area as well as a nice inside the service was impeccable fast no mistakes and the manager stop by to see how it is going "nice touch" the king burrito was the best burrito I've ever had hands down ...A multitude of flavors and nobody was fighting for flavor a perfect balance between the ingredients and beautiful presentation the food for the rest of the party was great as well .They even have their own horchata also really good My only regret is they don't have a location in Dallas

Be so so careful what you order here. My friend had pointed out these fun margaritas, and we ended up with 40 oz drinks that were impossible to finish and $29.99 at that. Both were overly sweet to me and hard to stomach. I could see this being a fun drink to share with a group but was way too much for one person. I also had the Steak ACP, not pictured and thought it was good but not great. Definitely would adjust my order if I dine in the future.

My friends and I came here for dinner and we loved the spacious, nicely decorated, lively atmosphere inside. The staff members were super friendly, the food came out less than 10 minuets after we ordered, and everything tasted great. I love that they have so many menu options and that plus the quality of the food plus the warm and welcoming attitude of the staff members made this a nearly perfect dinner!

Solid Tex mex with solid service. I thought that the chicken quesadilla fajita style that I ordered was excellent. I also enjoyed the spicy rice and salad that came with my dinner. I like that they don't skimp out on flavor! The interior was warm and cozy, but also very echoey because of the high ceilings. I could hear everyone's conversations across the room. I think in the future, I'd prefer to grab takeout than eating in simply due to the loud crowds and blasting music.

Mezcalito - Durham is always a hit! The food is delicious, the atmosphere is fun and inviting and the drink presentations and taste are next level. The servers are friendly and make sure you are well taken care of. To be a business with many locations, they have figured out the key to consistency across the board.

Food was awesome, service was fast and accommodating, and decor was modern, up to date, and clean! Food selection was the best I've seen around!

Two quesadillas although I ordered the trio!

The meal was not good. The service was nonchalant! I got the trio quesadilla which was suppose to be steak shrimp and chicken . The gave me two quesadillas and just threw the shrimp in on both quesadillas. It was dry and Luke warm! Never again!

Come here for a fun time. When it's warm, there is live music outside which sets a nice scene. The food is good. Nothing over the top, but good. Even at seemingly busy times, we were seated quickly and service was friendly. Definitely recommend the various ACPs - the ultimate was great. They also have great decorations for Christmas, so it's a cool place to take photos.

Came here after the Durham Farmers Market with a friend and wow this place was a surprise. …read more I went with the grain bowl and honestly it is one of the best I have had in downtown Durham. It is built on quinoa and rice with black beans and kale, then layered with corn salsa, tomato cortido, guacamole, and a creamy acevichado style sauce that pulls everything together. It is finished with a crunchy mix of pepitas, nuts, and grains. The balance is quite ideal in my view. My friend had the rotisserie chicken with two sides, kale and slaw, and it was just as impressive. Crispy skin, juicy inside, and really clean flavors. Simple food done right and GF friendly. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared. Prices land right where you would expect for the quality, roughly 16 to 21 dollars depending on what you order, and it feels worth it. My bowl plus side of dark chicken was plenty. A few notes. Parking is what you would expect for downtown, so plan accordingly. Service was solid and friendly, but nothing that stood out. The vibe inside is festive and relaxed, bright and open, and just a fun place to hang out for lunch. Porbably not a special occasion. I also suspect it could get loud when full. This is definitely going into my regular rotation. That grain bowl is going to be hard to pass up next time, so instead of replacing it I will probably just add a side or an empanada and start working my way through the rest of the menu.

Where I am from you can get a shredded beef burrito anywhere but they are hard to find here. We walked in and I was surprised to see that you order at the counter and it seems most of their business is takeout. They did allow us to sit at a table to order though. The waiter did not bring us anything. No chips. No salsa. No napkins. No silverware. I asked if they have salsa and they then brought out chips and salsa. I asked for silverware and napkins after our food arrived and they then brought out those things. We ordered bean dip and they brought out what I would describe as a bowl of water. Both the beans and the cheese were so runny that it was impossible to get either beans or cheese to stay on the chip long enough to deliver to your mouth. Total fail. How can bean dip be messed up? I was still excited for my shredded beef burrito to come. That excitement and any hopes I had for this place went way out the window when the man came back and plopped a shredded chicken burrito down in front of me. Definitely not what I ordered! I literally went there because they have shredded beef burritos, as least their menu says they do. I ate some of the shredded chicken burrito that I did not order and simply quietly boxed up the rest feeling too defeated to eat or complain. Speaking of the menu, they charged significantly more for every single item than the price that was listed on the menu. Once again I did not complain. I was so ready to leave. The horrible bean dip, three tacos for my husband, and a burrito that I did not order cost us $60. Never again.

My two favorite dishes were the Gambas and the Barbacoa, overall they had the best flavor/value. NC Corn Elote ($12): decent grilled corn, but there was way too much mayo on the plate. Birria Dumplings ($17): these were good, I loved the sauce which had a good kick! Barbacoa ($19): The meat was a bit fatty/greasy, but the amount of food was well worth the price. It came with corn tortillas and other fresh toppings/sauces that cut through the fat. Campechano Sope ($16): The dish had a good spice, however, I think the octopus was overcooked.
