We loved it! We found out about this location through an email article from Downeast Magazine. Service was so nice and welcoming! Small operation and the husband and wife team make it feel like you are dining at a family's home. Cozy and welcoming filled with delicious aromas of the food. We called in an order for take out. Glad we did, as there was a few people order at the counter when we arrived. Apparently there is the potential of them selling out, so order early! We ordered the following and LOVED everything, even the 3rd year old: Arayas - Lebanese Pita stuffed with Kofta seasoned Beef, accompanied by Greens and dollops of Zhoug and Labneh. Baked Crispy Spinach Fatayer - Onion, Lemon, EVOO in a Soft Pastry Pouch. Meat Fatayer - A Levantine Cuisine Staple, Ground Beef, Tomato, Onion, Pomegranate Molasses, Lebanese Seven Spice and Garnished w/ Pine Nuts. Chicken Shawarma Wrap - Braised Chicken Thighs, with Tabbouleh, Labneh, Tahini Dressing, and Pickled Onions, Grilled Crisped in Tandoori Bread. Kibbe - This Lebanese recipe is popular throughout the Middle East - made with Beef, Cracked Wheat, Onion, Spices and Pine Nuts. Chicken & Rice - Simmered with Beef, Rice, Pine nuts, Chicken Broth and Lebanese 7 Spice. Lubia b'Zeit - Green Beans, Onion & Tomato with EVVO & Seven Spice over Basmati Rice. (Vegan) The portions were great and we were able to share. My favorite was the Arayas and the Chicken Shawarma Wrap. We definitely recommend and can't wait to eat there again. read more

Loved everything about this new Lebanese restaurant! There's dine-in, take-out and event-hosting. Friendly helpful staff, small tables, quick service. Hearty flavorful traditional Lebanese food. The spinach fatayer and ground beef fatayer---flavored w/ Lebanese seven spices, pomegranate molasses, tomato and onion---were perfect. We also had the kafta kebab wrap: ground lamb and beef w/ labneh, pickled onions and tahini, and the chicken shawarma wrap, braised chicken w/ tabbouleh, labneh, pickled onion perfectly grilled. We took home a couple different kinds of stuffed grape leaves, za'atar manoushe ( savory flatbread) and baklava --and should have taken home more! Mezza is open during daytime hours. It'd be great if they offered evening meals, for concert goers at the nearby Waterville Opera House. Regardless, we'll be back to Mezza. read more

Great food, warm friendly service. Authentic Lebanese cuisine in wilds of Maine (well, Waterville isn't wild, but near the wilderness).

Very cozy and warm feeling in this restaurant and the owner was very kind and friendly while answering questions. The food was delicious and packed with flavor in every bite. I found out they are doing a dinner service soon Fri-Sat and I am definitely going to be checking that out. Great lunch! read more

Amazing flavors! Spicy but not too spicy. It's like a flavor explosion in your mouth!

I paid about $14 for two grape leaves (which strangely arrived hot) a scoop of hummus and a small order of tabouli. The hummus was good but the tabouli was not...had a smidge of bulgar but was almost entirely tomatoes which were drenched in dressing. The grape leaves were good and available both vegetarian and with meat, but they were served hot which I found strange. The wait was long, not because it was crowded, and overall my experience was disappointing. read more

Conveniently located downtown, Mezza offers a simple taste of Lebanese cooking that exemplifies the Mediterranean Diet: healthy and tasty. Clean, comfortable, and friendly atmosphere.
