We never hired a contractor due to all the horror stories, decided to join Angie's List to see if we could find a reputable and ethical one. Our home was built in 1954 and there's one bathroom that's never been remodeled. We called Mike and he actually answered the call instead of letting it go to voice mail. We made a appointment and he showed up on the scheduled date and time. Instantly we felt comfortable with Mike, he had great ideas and listened to our needs. Mike looked over the job & suggested a design, which we liked and decided to go with. Our old bathroom had ceramic Tile that ran halfway up the walls, and a shower stall the size of a broom closet (bathroom has a separate tub and shower). Mike demoed the entire shower area & halfway up all walls. We knew our toilet had a leak and wanted to have the floor torn up to check for damage. As it turned out the toilet leak had caused some wood rot and the sub-floor had to be torn up around that area and joists had to be replaced. This added $375.00 to the project. The medicine cabinet we chose was 30' wide which ran right into a vent pipe for the bathroom that had to be moved & cost an additional $250.00. Obviously Mike couldn't see through walls so this was an unexpected expense and we decided to have the vent pipe moved. The window was a retrofit from the 80's that was just awful and loud, it was replaced with a new vinyl window that looks great. We decided to go with the vinyl tub instead of the cast iron. I was set on the cast iron because I've seen how poorly the vinyl tubs are installed & Mike invited me to his home to see how his looked in his bathroom, it looked great. We went with the vinyl tub for our bathroom and are very happy with it, it looks wonderful. We decided to have Mike custom build and stain the vanity cabinet, which looks amazing, much better than that stuff you buy at the home improvement stores. The granite top also looks great. All the brushed nickel faucets look great and are also name brand. We let Mike make all the design decisions and are very happy we did, our new bathroom looks amazing and we are very happy with the end result. The way he positioned the tile on the floor and shower wall/floor look fantastic. Mike coordinates his jobs/crew very well so there was someone at the house every day. All the guys on his crew are very tidy and cleaned up every day. I must say we got exactly what we wanted and Mike delivered exactly what he promised. When a contractor lets you come to his home and walk through every room to see the details that he has promised, it certainly raised my comfort level. The bathroom looks fantastic! I would definitely recommend Mike, and have encouraged him to give client's my number if they should like further information about Mike's work from this very satisfied customer. Bonus shout outs to their subcontractors who did electrical, tiles, and cabinets because they were extremely friendly, timely, and clean. I'd recommend Zenith for your bathroom remodeling needs.

A contract was agreed upon that thoroughly described every step of the project, all inspections required and when payments were due. Zenith Builder provided a professional crew. The Project Manager kept me informed who would be at my house and what work they would be doing. The demolition crew was quick, complete and hauled away all the trash leaving my property clean and ready for construction. What was so wonderful about this new shower was the expert person who worked tirelessly on tiling this shower. He incorporated my ideas to use decorative tile in certain places and always gave excellent suggestions on tile placement. To me, this shower is a work of art. Zenith Builder promoted the concept that the overall bathroom would be enhanced even though their work was focused on the shower. Their crew painted the entire bathroom instead of doing patch work repairs. The result is a beautiful completed bathroom. I am very pleased with the work performed by Zenith Builder and would use them again or recommend them to others. Their professional crew and staff are friendly, knowledgeable and trustworthy. This project was completed in a timely manor and it is a joy to have a spacious, lovely working shower instead of a falling apart bathtub.

At first we tried to do it ourselves by finding family recommended architect to draw prints for us for submission and whatever else the city wants. Then we tried to find contracts and they either stuck up their noses at us or didn't even bother showing up at the appointment. Finding a trustworthy contractor is hard. So I looked up Yelp and found Mr. Parrague and initially contacted one of the reviewer, Henry, because he offered to shed more light on his experience. He was so kind and highly recommened Parrague Construction. And I'm living in another country and my Mom's English isn't fluent enough to handle this kind of matter. So I called Mr. Parrague and he made me feel safe. He is a one stop shop because I wasn't sure if the city was going to ask to redo the blueprints or not. He was very professional, on-time, and does not push for extra things just to make more money, in fact it's the opposite. He is tough, which you need to be when dealing with the city, and very experienced. He will go out of his way to help you. His crew is clean and his assistant is also kind and very communicative, but Mr. Parrague usually is your main point of contact. He likes to handle the calls himself. Once my mom called around 5pm saying they installed the garage door wrong (they did not) and I thought she got locked out of the house. I had to call Mr. Parrague from outside the country (Skype) and he said he will go straight to my house after his meeting which was an hour away from my house bc they had my spare key. I told my mom and realized she wasn't locked out. So whether it was installed correctly or not, it was NOT an emergency. I quickly messaged Mr. Parrague because it can be dealt the next day. I didn't want him to get in an accident trekking across LA. He understood and STILL showed up! This is now probably 7pm. They figured out that it was my Mom who didn't understand how the new garage door worked....So I am so thankful for them for their work and for dealing with the City and get me approved and case closed. I am a fan. XD

We've interviewed a few home builders, checked out their work and reputation, and eventually decided to go with Gil, Oren, and the whole team of Go Home Builders. Working with the insurance was a pain, luckily Gil had experience working with Allstate insurance before, and he helped us a lot getting the money we needed to rebuild our home. The planning process took a bit longer than what we initially planned for. The county of LA took their sweet time approving our plans. Fortunately, after 2 sets of revisions we were fully approved. The construction wasn't bad at all, they had plenty of guys working on our home at the same time. The only time there was no work, was on inspection days. The finishes was one thing that was extremely important for us. My wife and I are detail oriented and wanted to make sure we're choosing the right company to do the finish work correctly. All I can say is that they exceeded my expectations. Overall the beginning of the process was extremely emotional challenging, but the whole team of Go Home Builders made us feel like we're not alone. My wife and I are very grateful for them. I'd highly recommend.

I had a rough vision in mind for fitting a lot into a relatively small space, but wanted to see the options rendered so I could better make the big layout and design decisions. Alexis was very patient and super helpful in mocking up each iteration until we locked in the final design. Once it was time to actually break ground, Gil, Oren, Uriel, and the rest of the team were really responsive and always available by text. Unlike previous contractors we've worked with, they usually gave us an idea of what was happening the next day/week and who to expect onsite. The first ~70% of the project went really smoothly and far exceeded my expectations. Demo, framing, rough plumbing, and electrical all largely went without a hitch. We ran into some problems towards the end around communication, timeline, and subcontractor oversight -- which led to more delays when someone punctured our new in-wall toilet tank and flooded both the bathroom and bedroom. We know every construction job runs into challenges so we weren't bent out of shape by it, and we did appreciate that GHB took full responsibility for fixing the issues. By and large we were really impressed by most of their subcontractors, especially the very professional and considerate plumbing, electrical, and tiling teams! After living with our new bathroom for a while now, we can definitely say it was worth the wait, and such a huge improvement over our previous dysfunctional layout. Thanks to GHB for their great service, amazing attitude, attention to detail, and for bringing the bright, colorful bathroom of my dreams to life!

I always hear nightmare stories of contractors stalling their jobs and trying to rip you off or not responding in a timely manner. But Amin and his team are truly professionals. Jose is like his right hand man and gets the job done. Not only getting the job done but does it very well. From his showroom, we were able to pick out all the designs that we wanted and seeing the end result, I was truly impressed. His prices are fair and he's upfront about everything. Amin will answer any questions you have throughout the entire process. Even if you text him at 9pm he will respond quick. If he says something will be done by a certain time frame, he will ensure that it is done. I really wanted LED mirrors at the end and he wasn't able to do it. We were even willing to pay extra for it! We ended up having to get plain, boring mirrors with no LED which was pretty disappointing. Also, one of the biggest issue I had was I wanted all the outlets changed since the previous ones were yellow and old but he said it'll be an additional charge. White walls and yellow outlets? EWWW!! We pretty much did a whole gut renovation and spent a fortune but couldn't get our outlets switched out. I thought it would be an easy switch but apparently he said it costs to change bc it has to do with the electrical aspect of it. Didn't know that but now I know. We ended up finding a handyman to do it at less than a fraction of his price. Although we had a few disagreements here and there but from start to finish, Amin was available to answer our questions, concerns and help fix anything. He is so easy to work with and made this whole process extremely seamless. The team was able to get everything done and we moved in on the date that we wanted to.
