Misael and his crew completed a kitchen project where we needed the laminate floors removed, damaged dry wall repaired, ceiling drywall repaired, and pony wall cut to specifications for flooring install and cabinet install. I'm considered a novice when it comes to fixing things around the house. Found MGM Pressure Washing and Handyman on Yelp. Misael and his partner came over in the morning for a couple projects in the room. One major project I had was to replace dry wall in a closet, as it suffered from leaking water. The second project was to reposition a bookshelf that I had trouble putting back on the wall. The last project was to install a door draft stopper under the door. Misael was very responsive during our initial chat discussing the project. He was ready to come over the next day to fix the gaping holes that a licensed electrician had left in our house in the process of installing two GFCI outlets. I purchased the paint, the primer, and the texture spray, as I was advised by Misael early next morning. Misael came by promptly, and started the job right away. After looking at the holes, he first described to me how he would have done the electrician's job differently creating much fewer holes in the process. I appreciated his concern. Misael closed the holes, and sprayed texture on the closed wall. Since that would require time to dry, he came back the next day to paint the wall with primer and the main paint. I liked Misael for his promptness, for [almost] sticking to what he would deliver and what he would charge, and doing what we wanted at a very short notice. I gave a rating of good instead of great mainly for one reason: the job in the master toilet was not done up to our full satisfaction. The texture spray seemed slightly in excess. Repairing that would mean scraping those holes again, spraying the texture spray again, and repainting. This is too much work, and I decided to stop it there. Misael quoted $400-$480 for the entire job, but felt that he had underestimated the work involved. I paid him $540 at the end. read more

The handyman came right on time and addressed all of our needs (we had some drywall patching, door realignment, fixing a stripped screw hole for a ceiling vent and some random things to fix) in a timely and professional manner. We were happy to find Misael for the installation of a bathroom fan. This wasn't a straightforward project, as the new fan required a new rough-in and retro-fitting. Misael was resourceful in troubleshooting how to get the new fan installed. Although the job took longer than he likely anticipated, he honored his original quote (we paid him more than he asked, however). On his way out, he also looked at a GFCI outlet that hadn't been working for us. Don't let the name of the business mislead you: Misael does more than pressure washing, and the work he did for us was informed and detail-oriented.
