Oh me...Oh My...Mr. Roger is truly the Man you want to hire! I have learned so much from him over these last couple of weeks regarding the correct process to remove, clean, and reapply polymeric sand and sealer. Backstory: I hired a contractor to complete an ADA Backyard Landscaping Project to complement my ADA Model Home to maintain its value in the event that I decided to sell my home. My project was almost complete, but the finishing touches with the sealant turned disastrous when the sealant was applied in scorching hot temperatures. Other issues that may have caused this was failure to remove the excess polymeric sand or not allowing the pavers to completely dry before applying the sealant Lastly, the sealant that was not applied was purchased from a Big Box Store and not professional grade. My pavers went from brown hues to a slippery, plastic coated white haze. I was told that it was only a 10% chance to fix the problem by another contractor and others said they may be able to fix the issue--but it wasn't guaranteed. Mr. Roger stood by his work and not once did he doubt the magic that be could make happen. Thank you sooo much...My backyard has never looked so beautiful! Mr. Roger entrusted my Paver Repair Project to Mr. Hector. He consistently showed up on time and worked tirelessly and effortlessly. Our pavers were installed over 2 years ago in our backyard and the polymeric sand had washed out in some areas, also some stains made the pavers looks old and ho hum. So I found Roger and he seemed very knowledgeable, so I took a chance on him. His crew led by Hector did a great job not just on my pavers, but also my driveway and front walkway! Now when we spend time in our backyard, I so much appreciate the attention his workers had when they cleaned, re-sanded, and sealed my pavers for a nice matte sheen! They look better than new!! A Very unhappy customer! Roger's crew had to power washed my pavers 3 times. The more they cleaned the worst they looked. I told him there was a sealant on my pavers prior to the work. He told me that wasn't a problem. He also took before pictures and I couldn't tell the difference after the work was completed. They had a very dull look to them. We had our pavers sealed by Power Washing Systems and we were very pleased with the job they did. The company is well run. They show up when they say they will or they let you know if there are any delays. Hector was the person who did the work on our project and he did an excellent job. It is a three day process. The first day they clean up the pavers. The next time they come they re-sand and the last day they seal the pavers. It takes a day or two to dry after they are done. We had our pavers sealed five years ago but they never looked as good as they do now. We will be contacting them again in three years. read more

Roger and his team saved my ugly-look pavers back into great and professional look. My pavers used to look whitish by polymeric haze all over. Joints were over-sanding that looked terrible. Roger and his team first cleaned up all the mess. The tough part was to remove all existing polymeric sand between joints, then washed the paver surface out of polymeric haze. I selected Power Washing Systems based on the yelp reviews to clean and seal my backyard patio...but unfortunately my experience has not been 5 star like the others have had on Yelp and have regretted my choice since. Originally only planned on having my 700sf paver patio cleaned and sealed to prevent any further stains(patio was about 1 yr old), however after meeting with Roger he convinced us to do a full redo of the sand in the joints as well to make it "perfect" as the existing sand was floated a bit high in the joints, but wasn't terrible(honestly never crossed my mind to redo the sanding until after meeting with Roger). Figured for just a bit more let's go ahead and make it perfect. Things didn't start great as the original schedule we had discussed was not followed and we lost an extra weekend of not being able to use our patio(almost 3 weeks total), the cleanup after the work was not very good(TONS of sand left along the edges of the patio along the lawn about 2 inches thick, paint along the house was all scuffed off by the machine that took the sand out(was repainted by their team but only after we brought it up to them and pointed it out), tape left covering one of the drainage grates for the pool, and had a newly planted plant near the patio left covered in sand). Work started 3/12. But on to the real issues with the work being done...and this is primarily to do with the sanding of the joints. Right off the bat after the original work was done, the very first very small rain shower we got started washing the sand out of the joints. Called roger, he was very responsive and they came and fixed the joints. OK things are good. This was the week of 3/24 Few weeks later(week of 4/27), another small rain shower...guess what? Sand washed out of joints anywhere water was hitting it. They came and resanded those areas again on 5/9, however, at one point didn't hear back from Roger for one week(5/1-5/8) trying to get the work rescheduled. Two weeks later(5/19)..another small rain shower and AGAIN the sand started washing out from the joints. Talked with Roger and at this point let him know that these small patches are not working and we need a PERMANENT fix for this as I'm afraid what will happen when the real rainstorms hit and I don't want to keep patching things. States he will pull all the sand out and redo it with Polymeric sand this time. Also found out that the product he had been using he had not used before, so was great to find out I was the test case for a new product they had no experience with that did not work. But felt better that the old stuff will be ripped out and replaced with polymeric. Well come to find out, instead of fully pulling out all the old sand like they did at the start of the job and redoing the entire job the right way they manually went to each joint that was having issues and cleaned it and replaced with polymeric by hand...so now I have a patio that is partially polymeric, and partially non-polymeric. I express concerns with having a mix of products like that and not having the sand tamped down into the joints for a solid compaction to seal the joints. Roger said there should be no more issues now that polymeric sand has been used. I was home when Roger and the team came for this last fix, and he didn't even bother to go over the finished work with me even though I was a few feet away in the house...simply packed up and left without a word. Not very professional if you ask me especially with a customer who has had multiple issues with the work that's been done. Now to today...we have had a couple of very light rain showers recently and guess what? Again I have a ton of joints where the sand is washing out, and the new polymeric areas seem to be no better than the non-polymeric areas. At this point I do not even want Roger and his team to come back onsite to fix the patio as they have proven they cannot perform the work competently and I have no confidence in their work. I'm not sure how to proceed at this point other than knowing I need to get an experienced contractor in here that knows what they are doing and redo the work properly. But I wanted to make sure I make this review to let everyone know my experience, they may be good at power washing and cleaning stone, but it does not seem as though the joint sanding is an area of expertise for this company based on my experience. read more

Hired Roger to powerwash our brick patio. It has some calcium buildup - looks like a greyish layer on the surface of the brick. Roger came in for the quote and said he could apply some acid after the powerwash that should take care of the calcium buildup. He also sold us on applying sealer after, that would bring out the natural color of the stone and "make the patio look like new". The results after the powerwash were somewhat disappointing - patio was cleaner and the worst calcium stains were gone, but large areas of calcium buildup remained. I told Roger that I did not want the sealer applied over the calcium. He then applied acid again in the worst areas, and assured me that the sealer would make the remaining calcium deposits blend in and disappear. I asked 4 times, and he stated 4 times that the remaining calcium would not be a problem. He then sprayed some water on the brick - the calcium is not visible when the stone is wet, of course - and said that that was what the stone would look like after the sealer is applied. Yes, really! BULLSHIT! The grey-ish layer is still there. It is still perfectly visible, but now it has a slightly glossy layer on top. And no, my patio does not look like new. And no, I wouldn't have spent the $200 for the sealer had I known the result in advance. So, if you're thinking about applying a sealer don't do it unless the stone under it has been cleaned and all calcium deposits are removed. The sealer won't make them magically disappear, no matter what you're told. And if your stone is darker than grey or beige - the sealer will show off any dust and dusty footsteps. Consider that in advance. read more

It is nice to find a company that does what they say they are going to and then follow up and ask if we liked what they did. Here is the story. We live in the south bay and have red brick in our back yard, lots of it and were planning on doing flag stone or pavers but every one of our friends said the brick look nice and why change it. So I looked online and searched for who could make the red bricks look new again and found a few places. I decided to go with PWS and glad I did. They were going to do just a portion of the wall so I could see how it looked but in speaking with Rodger I felt great about doing all the backyard while we were on vacation and are to dogs, German Sheppard and a Golden were at their trainers, so perfect timing. We returned to a backyard that looks like new bricks were installed. We are glad they worked us in with such short notice and a follow up call from Rodger put the full service to this project. What a difference. They didn't just use a power nozzle and a hose to clean, they use an actual scrubbing machine.
