This place service has definitely gone downhil. Their service used to be excellent and quality of food very good but things have changed. I went a couple of months back and the food wasn't all of that but last night I decided to give them another try. I ordered pepper steak with yellow rice and red beans along with baked chicken with the same. When my food got back home and I opened it, I was VERY disappointed and disgusted! My steak was burnt and it was so dry that you can tell it was previously cooked and then reheated and the baked chicken was still raw in some places! I called them (because I don't live close) and was told to call back in the morning. So the next morning I called just to be told that the manager isn't in and they will give her my number along with message. Needless to say I haven't heard anything back yet, so now I'm on my way there to bring them this food and hopefully this get resolved correctly! read more

Amazing service. Came in for sancocho and beef stew. The woman who served me was amazing. Probably the best service I ever received at a Spanish restaurant. Was able to communicate with her with no problems. She asked if I wanted lime or hot sauce. (It's so rare to be offered condiments nowadays without asking) so I really appreciated that. She was so pleasant and engaging that I left a tip. Came home and thoroughly enjoyed the soup with my husband. Good amount of meat and platanos. Very flavorful and filling. Omg! This place made the BEST shrimp in garlic sauce I have ever had! Seriously amazing! The counter girls were super friendly and personable. Food was made fresh and came out piping hot. The smell drew us in, so my husband and I had to peek inside. We do not regret it! It's a small little corner restaurant serving Latino food, delicious with every bite. COVID has turned it into a take out only spot, so we ordered our meals to go. My husband got arroz moro with pernil and I opted for rice, beans and ox tail. Another customer ordered a chicken soup, and claimed he drove all the way from Irvington for that soup, so we also added a small chicken soup as well and an empanada for the ride home. We should have ordered more empanadas! We barely got in the car and the empanada disappeared. The beef was well seasoned and the crust was crispy and golden, so yummy. I called to place an order over the phone for two burritos I kept being placed on hold altogether four - five times. Someone would pick up ask me what I want I would say a burrito they would start asking me what to put an ad and then they stay hold someone else would pick up ask me what I want I would start to tell them a burrito what I want and then they put me on hold that continued for about four or five times. Finally my order was placed I went to pick up my food I heard the price I figured may be it's like an extra huge burritos it was over $22. I drove over 40 minutes home sit down open the bag open the container to find two plates of rice and beans and some kind of stewed meat. Needless to say I was completely disappointed after working over 12hours 2days I'm a row I just wanted to stuff my face with two burritos. I think the communication was off (my Spanish is horrible ) so maybe it was a communication issue. One other table was there, ordered the garlic shrimp appetizer flavor was amazing came out lukewarm I asked for bread to dip in the garlic sauce the bread was horrible. My coworkers and I decided to place an order for lunch, apparently this 2015 restaurant does not take credit cards or debit cards which I find it to be an inconvenience for those who only carry plastic money. When the food arrived the order was missing part of it but we realized this when we have already paid the driver and he left. We called the restaurant several times to find a way to resolve this they refuse to send the missing food, and they did not refund our money back. Besides this absurd problem The food we had was mostly rice . They literally sold us more rice than the actual dish. I would never recommend anyone to eat here.
