Mi Casita Grill is a decent enough Mexican restaurant in Waynesboro, Mississippi. Walking in, the place had a decent overall ambiance and our server was friendly and professional. The menu was filled with the usual items that you would expect from a Mexican restaurant, but that's not a bad thing. I went with the carne asada French fries, which was on the lunch menu. There was a restaurant in Orlando, Florida that had a dish of carne asada French fries and I absolutely loved it. That version was French fries topped with carne asada, cheese, sour cream, guacamole and I would add their hot sauces. I was hoping for a similar dish. When the food came out, I was a bit disappointed to see it was just carne asada and a bit of cheese sauce over French fries. Let me point out, this was the exact description in their menu, but I guess I was hoping against hope for a dish that I used to love. It was still good. The French fries were perfectly cooked and the carne asada was cut for tacos. My one complaint was that they could have put more cheese sauce on it. Overall, I would recommend Mi Casita Grill. Next time, I will get a burrito, though. read more

we were charged $9.00 per shot of Jose Quervo and 7.50 per shot of Jack Daniels. No prices were advertized so we didn't know till we got the check. I have never seen prices this high per shot, and we are from PA which is a significantly more expensive state. I was really disappointed because I wanted to like this place, but that's ridiculously expensive. We will never be going back. UPDATE: they charged me EVEN more than what I signed for on the check before leaving. I am now going to have to dispute with my bank about this. read more

Wonderful. The staff at Mi Casita are hard working, personable and very efficient. The food is excellent. We particularly like the Chicken Fajita Salad that is served in an edible bowl and has plenty of grilled onions and green peppers, very healthy. The chicken in the salad is never disappointing. We have come to know the staff by name and they delight to see us. May I call it a family affair? For some of them, English is still poor, but their work ethic is admirable. This is one of the best Mexican restaurants I have ever ate at if not the best!! Me and my family love Mexican food- not just love Mexican good but we are very picky about it also!! There is very few Mexican restaurants we like and eat at... while staying at Maynor Creek we decided to run into town and grab a bite to eat and skip cooking as well as grab a few items... we all agreed we wanted Mexican but was very skeptical about trying some where new and we was all very pleased. So pleased in fact we went back again the next day!! This place was so clean you could eat off the floor and the service was top notch- service was fast and friendly. Food was beyond delicious as prices was very very reasonable. I may live two hours or so away from here but I will be making an excuse to go back to Waynesboro just for this food!! Cold food and racist staff, Dec 27 3:30pm. Our original server passed my cousin and I to another server. With great anticipation, my cousin invited me and we waited nearly an hour in an empty restaurant. 2 tables of Hispanic men (10+) arrived 20 min after we and they were served their food simultaneously! A white couple arrived after we and were greeted and served immediately. Our 2nd server watched us wait and had a runner bring out non-sizzling fajitas and ice cold and hard rice and beans. Then they argued it wasn't cold. Noone refilled our chips or water during our hour wait. The town is TOO SMALL and diverse to treat African American or any customers poorly. You need the money to survive! I was a previous server for 5 yrs and now own a business training customer service staff. We wont be back for a vacation or visit. read more

Perfect little oasis right off of Hwy 45. We happened upon this restaurant after being rudely turned away to use the restroom at the gas station next door. Very friendly staff. Super clean restrooms. We ordered tamales and a cheese quesadilla off of the side items section of the menu and waited at the bar while we admired the colorful Mexican folk art decor. From a Texas girl, this was surprisingly good. Our problem was with the check... the writing wasn't legible and it was easily $10-$15 higher than it should have been. 3 lunch entrees with an order of queso ran us over $50. (And yes, it's queso, not cheese sauce.) When we questioned about all of the extra charges they suddenly couldn't understand us. Funny. read more

I love the cheese and chips, but the taco meat didn't have any seasoning so stick with taco bell for tacos and don't sit on the "bar" side of the resturant..had to flag the waiter twice ..clean and comfortable place to dine. read more

It's Mexican man, how can you screw that up? It's never that awesome, but also pretty hard to have a bad experience at a Mexican restaurant- and this one was no different. I ordered the #20 which is basically just chicken and rice with liquid gold (queso cheese) poured over it. Pretty good stuff. The salsa was also quite decent, which is in my experience usually the only thing that Mexican restaurants can ever really get wrong. I was a little disappointed that this place did not have whatever that red stuff is that you love to completely cover your chips in- what is that stuff, crushed red pepper? Anyway, they became the first Mexican restaurant I have ever visited to not have that spicy red goodness. Other than that though, you get the usual experience anyone would expect to have at a Mexican restaurant. Would recommend to a friend. read more
