Went in today 05/31/26. Was the worse service that I've have ever had. People that came in after we did were seated,served and gone before we were asked what we wanted to drink. Service here is good, servers are attentive without hovering, keeps your glasses filled for the most part. The food - Mi Publetos is "Rutherford County good" ... if you've been to Texas or California then you know this isn't it; but it isn't exactly horrible. I would suggest if you get any menu item that just says "beef" be sure to change to a different meat, birria or asada, otherwise you're getting the buffet quality ground beef. read more

Here visiting friends for a few days and she suggested this place. Upon entering we were greeted by a hostess and seated immediately. The place was half full. She said one of the reasons she likes this place is they have a salsa bar which I did not visit but she did partake of the pineapple salsa and I tasted and it was satisfying. I chose a house margarita and cheese steak burrito. Which I found both to be excellent. The restaurant was clean and the noise level was low. I will eat here again on my return visits. read more

My Pueblito is a solid Mexican restaurant. Good food, clean restaurant, wide selection of dishes. I liked their salsa bar, but I haven't been back since covid, so I don't know if they still have that. They give large portions, especially with the fajitas (enough where two people can split an order). There's only one Mexican restaurant in Forest City that I like better ( I did a review on that one, too). That doesn't take away from how good No Pueblito is, however. After finding out that our preferred restaurant for our family Christmas dinner was closed, we decided to go here...and it was...Mehhhhhhhhhhhh.... We got there at 5ish...with 8 of us...and were immediately seated (not a good sign!)...we sat and started to peruse the "standard" Mexican restaurant menu. So...after really looking, wifey ordered her standard of Chicken Chimichanga and I ordered a dish called La Favorita. My dish was chicken, shrimp, beef (tough) on a bed of rice covered with cheese sauce (enough cheese to feed a small country)...and a few (VERY few) vegetables of onion and green pepper...they said that there was mushrooms in there, but I could not find them. Wifey's Chimi had a LOT of refried beans in it and very little chicken...she was not thrilled! Now...service...they served everyone at the table, except me...and the waitress kept walking by...ignoring the fact that there was no food in front of me. Finally, one of our party stopped her and asked about it...Oh, we forgot! OK, mistakes can be made, I can forgive that...but...to not pay attention and take care of it? Unbelieveable! Every small town has "the" Mexican restaurant the locals love. This is that place in my boyfriend's hometown. The other location is a little nicer, but this one was more convenient the night we went. Went for my birthday on Cinco De Mayo the service the food and the staff were awesome. They were very fast with the food even though they were packed. Gave me multiple free tequila shots and smashed whip cream in my face while distracting me with cake. One of the best times I've had at a restaurant and for my bday. A lady came in after my family and I had ordered our food. Her shirt said "f*ck Trump" in big letters on the front. She had a dog with her also. The dog had no markings as a service animal. She walked past me as I was at the salsa bar. I told her that the shirt was inappropriate to wear in public, my children can read. She said, "f*ck you and f*ck your kids." We were maybe fifteen feet from my five and six year old children. She went on to the bathroom. I notified, who I was told, was the manager what had occured. I told him that I did not feel comfortable eating in the restaurant if she was going to be there. Either he make her leave or we would leave. The woman came back out of the bathroom and came straight to my table and asked if I support Trump. I told her "my political affiliation is irrelevant, please get away from my table." She continued to talk trash as she went back to her table. The supposed manager, Martin, was standing there during this time. He went and spoke to the lady at her table. I was assuming he was asking her to leave. While waiting for him to return, my five year old daughter asked me what "f*ck" means. He came back and informed me that he was not going to make her leave. I told him that we were leaving. He said he didnt want us to, but if we wanted to we could. He said "I dont want either of you to leave, she will stay over there and you can stay here. I know you come here often. She also comes often and tips well." I was appalled by the way this was handled. Martin stated that he was not the manager so he could not make them leave. This was after I had asked for the manager and he came out, posing as the manager. He said the manager was not there. I asked for real the manager's phone number. He gave me a number and it turns out to be his wife's phone number. She stated to me that the lady has the freedom of speech and referred to this vile individual as a "sweet lady" several times during our conversation. I have never had this terrible of customer service in my life. I demanded the owners number. I spoke to the owner. She agreed that it was appaling. She offered an apology but nothing else. I will never eat there again and I will tell everyone I know about what happened. Regardless of one's political views, saying f*ck your kids, in front my children is unacceptable. This lady was able to enjoy her meal while I was forced to leave after waiting for over thirty minutes for our food. Tips are more important than family values and common decency at this establishment. read more

I came here since it was close to were I was staying for a work training, I was alone, it was not too far from the hotel and reviews were good. Well, I did went as an early, early, early bird since I had dinner around 4:00PM. There were 2 couples only at the restaurant and but place was looking nice. Good light, music,...nothing crazy. The chips they serve with the sauce like many Mexican places do, also came with some refried beans. This was really good. Their sauces station was really good. I had the Shrimp tacos (3). They were really good. Today, i went to the training and for lunch we went to Mexican place and after looking at the menu I then realized that it was the same restaurant but another location. It is a chain but is great. I ordered again the same shrimp tacos but did make sure they had corn tortillas. It does makes a difference. You can not go wrong with taquitos here. Pretty good Mexican food all in all. I love the white queso and the chips and salsa are pretty good. We are from Texas so we like to try different Mexican food when we are out of town. Very reasonably priced, I had a fajita burrito and beans and it was $7.50.
