I went to Chili's last night for my birthday. Due to joining the line on Yelp, I was able to be seated promptly. The restaurant was almost full, so it took a little longer until I could place my order. With it being a family restaurant, the ambiance depends on other patrons (I sat in front of a crying child). I had to wait awhile for my food. When it arrived part of it was already just warm, but it tasted good even though my steak was slightly over cooked. Lunch date with my niece while in town. Of course we had to get the chips and salsa. I added a side of white queso which was good too. My jive got the kids chicken tenders and fries. I got the chicken crispers with loaded mashed potatoes and broccoli. I was surprised by how good the tenders were!! Moist and well seasoned!! I got the plain tenders and got the buffalo ranch, honey chipotle and Nashville hot sauces on the side. I'm so glad I did that because the Nashville hot was my least favorite of the sauce. The buffalo ranch was really good. The mashed potatoes could've been better, they were lukewarm and putting cold cheese on top didn't help things mix well. The broccoli was cooked well. Of course we got the cookie skillet for dessert which my niece loved. I ordered Togo entrees for other relatives which our waitress was very helpful with. Overall good lunch!! read more

Took an hour and 30 minutes to get food. still leaving one meal out. when they brought the one it was wrong. they fixed it but came back to ask if we wanted to send back the part of the food that was wrong. in the middle of us eating. Found a hair in the ranch. when I told the waiter what an awful experience he blamed it on "Holiday Crowd." Haven't been to this location in years, but because it's Sunday and all the local places are closed and we wanted a drink with dinner, we took a chance and came here. This location has a deserved low star ranking because of service and food quality. I have been pleasantly surprised by the attentive server . Got a couple cold bees and received our appetizer of fried pickles quickly. Although $7.49 is a little pricey for amount of slices. We ordered the Sante Fe Grilled chicken salad and the Buffalo Chicken Ranch Sandwich. Both excellent and Spicey! We dined at this location twice while visiting Rutherfordton 4 weeks apart. The first time the food was good the second time it wasn't. I actually had the same item both times. The first time was an early dinner around 16:30 the second time was apx 19:00. Perhaps they were tired. read more

We had dinner here tonight with another couple. We enjoyed the Three for me - very good food and excellent service. When we had a slight problem with bill after we had paid by card at the table - the manager was not able to refund the difference but offered us several options to make up for the situation including a free dessert. We chose the delicious molten cake as a takeout. We were most pleased in his handling the problem and his apologies. We should have checked the bill more carefully before we paid - lesson learned for us but were most pleased with what happened as a result! Looking forward to our next visit! Choosing to visit Chili's in Forest City for Sunday Night football was a mistake. Unfortunately, Chili's is the only place open for Sunday and Monday night football. Sitting at the bar, I was treated to the smell of sour mop. The bartender wasn't openly friendly and provided minimal service. My meal was okay, not great. Gross! We chose this Chili's because we needed to stay local for our vaccine. What a mistake! The hamburger wasn't grilled; it was charred. The French fries had a really strange taste;almost as if they had freezer burn or something. Let's not forget the inside of the restaurant. The beer was flat, kids grilled cheese.. the one slice of cheese was burnt, the cheese quesadilla was burnt as well. Not the flour tortilla but the cheese... how does that even happen. I had not been to Chilis in a while and realize I've missed several new things Chilis added to their menu. I dropped in while in the area for work. I've been a temporary regular ever since. They had no idea it was also my birthday. So I thought I'd treat myself. The downside - the waitress didn't offer any Birthday incentives except the Plenty program, which I am already enrolled with. Obviously, I wouldn't want to sign up again just to get a free birthday dessert. It's the one reason I would not rate the service a full 5 stars. A bonus birthday dessert would've been nice. I also visited earlier in the day during lunch hours so I suppose that would explain the extra particular attention I received - I can dig it! The staff was friendly! You could tell the waiters had experience because they knew their regulars orders the moment they entered the restaurant. I tried their new steak and shrimp covered in the honey chipotle sauce with asparagus. It was delicious!! I also tried the seasonal watermelon beverage with patron - pretty good too. Overall - Food: 5 Service + Staff: 4 Ambiance + Cleanliness: 3 I've visited this restaurant again and they did the Birthday song and had free dessert to some one else. The MAJOR PROBLEM was the women's bathroom: the stalls all need to be replaced because you couldn't shut the doorss --- my wife was horrified. read more

The food was fine, although cold, but the most concerning part was the complete disregard for COVID and state mandates. A door on the sign said masks were required, but upon entering, the host was the only one wearing a mask over nose and mouth. All of the servers either had the mask completely under their chin or only covering their mouth. There was also no soap in the restroom and employees were in there so clearly not washing their hands. I've always been a fan of Chili's, but this has been one of the few places I've seen since March with wait staff not having respect for patrons. Since that day was Mother's Day and my father's birthday, my mother and I stopped here for an early dinner before going to the nursing home to visit my father (Alzheimer's) and eat birthday cake with my immediate family members. Knowing that Mother's Day is the busiest day of the year for restaurants, I was happy to be seated quickly. The server was extremely attentive and the Caribbean salads were very good. Terrible service! We checked in at 12:55 AM and was told we would receive a text in about 45 minutes. 2 and a half hours later I went back in to the restaurant to ask about our position in line. It was then that I figured out that my name was taken off the list. I'm sure it was an accident but wanted to speak with the manager about the situation since we drive about 50 minutes every weekend to eat at this location.
