I won't lie the service here can be a bit lackluster, especially during lunch (I think it's better at dinner). The waiters/waitresses are nice but don't check up on the table nearly enough. BE THAT AS IT MAY--the food here is BANGIN. Let me set you up real quick. On a budget? Okay. Get you a bean burrito with cheese sauce ($3.99) and a Sope (the best thing ever--and it's only $3.99), and you're out 10 bucks after the tip. Maunch on some chips and a couple bowls of the best salsa in town and you're set. Ambiance is pretty good too. I am a Harding student. Went here for dollar tacos on a Saturday night. I now have food poisoning. Sunday I was knocked out, Monday I was fine and it is now Tuesday and I'm sick again. I will never be setting foot in Mi Pueblito again. read more

Me and my business friends came here for a while after work. It was the weekend. Some baseball players from the area came in after us and raised a ruckus! No problem for us however as we all remember our humble roots as baseball players for the local team. Disappointed :( Some things were ok, but two major issues warranted this review: First, the restaurant was freezing!! Well past the point of uncomfortable, we were digging through the trunk for extra hoodies and blankets during our meal. It hard to enjoy your food when your teeth are chattering. More importantly, Be Careful! For all their ground beef and shredded chicken dishes, the meat is fuuullllll of peas, carrots, and peppers. So if you're expecting only meat (like most other Mexican restaurants), you be sorely disappointed. I had 4 teenagers with me, they all ordered either shredded chicken or beef dishes (enchiladas and chimichangas), and none of them were even really able to eat it. They all hate peas. (Who am I kidding, I hate peas too!) Nowhere on the menu does it mention that those meat dishes are inundated with vegetables. And even after I explained that my kids weren't able to eat or enjoy their meal, there was no offer to fix, change, or discount. In fact, both server and cashier were pretty rude about it. The fajita baked potato was amazing. Bacon, fajita chicken and steak and cheese sauce. Potato was cooked perfectly. Tons of food. I could eat half of it. Prices are reasonable. This is a Mexican restaurant with all your basic options. The reason you should go to Mi Pueblito is because of their specials that they offer. Fajita nachos on waffle fries or chicken and cheese in a potato are a few of the reasons you feel a little confused by their menu. But once you order it you don't care why you got waffle fries at a mexican restaurant, you are just glad you did. Reason to only give four stars is because the interior could use a bit of sprucing up. But other than that the staff is efficient and the prices are good. read more

We just moved down to Searcy, AR from Tulsa, OK. Knowing this will be our home for the next 3 years, we decided to hit the town for some good local food! We looked up the places with the best reviews, and this restaurant was one of the first to come up. It looked like a little hole-in-the wall from the outside, but inside it was huge and super spacious. And we were NOT disappointed! It was so hard to decide on what to get because EVERYTHING sounded so good! We ordered the chimichanga, fajita nachos, and fajitas mi pueblo. Pictures don't do justice because the flavor was outrageous. Literally the best Mexican food we've had!! This will be our go-to place for sure from here on out. Would have given it 5 stars but we did not approve of the parking lot. They need to fix it as it is not very legibly situated and falls right into the road. I try to accomplish two things by writing reviews; first is to caution the customer, but I also try to give the restaurant an opportunity to change. Mi Pueblito, like its Searcy counterparts in Mexican cuisine, have fallen victim to serving sub-par ingredients in exchange for expansive menu. The fajita meat is not cooked fresh, it's the exact same across all of the restaurants, has no char, is seasoned poorly, just disappointing. A flavorless "cheese sauce" (do not confuse this with queso) is also substituted for most shredded cheese applications. Rice and beans are bland and lack luster. My taquitos were deep fried in flour tortillas and filled with searing hot grease from the frier (I still can't feel my tongue). The only reasons this restaurant received two stars were the salsa was good, the chips were warm, and the wait staff was attentive. I would recommend the customer eat elsewhere, and I would recommend the restaurant focus on purchasing better ingredients, cooking fresh entrees, and getting rid of the "cheese sauce". read more

This place is just ok. Have eaten here many times and it is never a first choice, or even a choice at all. With so many Mexican restaurants in Searcy, this one is the most generic and bland of them all. Salsa and chips are always good but everything else is just mediocre. With that being said, it is about the cheapest one in town and because so, is mostly fueled by Harding Students. Locals often steer clear of this one unless they have a reason to go. read more

I ordered a taco ($1 on Tuesdays) and a chile relleno with a Dr Pepper. They both tasted good but the chile was somewhat cold, as in "no caliente," as in "frio." jk man, it wasn't served cold. I had to relieve myself for like 20 minutes because of the salsa so when I got back the chile was chilly. The total bill was $5.75 and the portions weren't terrible. If I could do it again I would order a small cheese dip for myself. I've been here before on dates (#3swing1ring) and gotten the Arrows me Pueblito. It was good but this restaurant has a lower follow-up rate for second dates. If you're wanting to make it Facebook official, don't start here. Top dishes here IMHO: Chile relleno Arrows me pueblito Carnitas Would recommend for casual, affordable dining, not for a first date, If you do go here on a first date, don't insist that he/she split something with you to "keep the costs down." They custom made a taco salad with vegetables in it for me! It was the best one I've ever had. I usually ask for a taco salad without meat (I'm vegetarian) and they every restaurant just gives me the taco salad sans meat. These guys went out of their way to make a spices vegetable saluted mix for the salad with mushrooms, bell peppers, etc. They are lovely people and will accommodate your needs, and then exceed expectations on taste! read more

Mi Pueb is a must-visit restaurant among the Harding crowd. The restaurant offers an authentic Mexican style cuisine that caters to any crowd. The food is reasonably priced, and the service is very quick and friendly. The food itself is pretty good, but it often makes me feel sick after eating it, but apparently that doesn't happen to most customers. I would recommend Mi Pueblito for sure. read more

Typical Mexican restaurant. Great food just a tad salty occasionally. Really good prices if you're on a tight budget. If you go you definitely need to try Arroz MiPueblito it's their signature dish and you can't go wrong with it. read more
