The white sauce tasted like cream of corn soup with chewy steak and over boiled chicken. My asada tacos had way too much cilantro, and the steak was tough. I don't recommend this place. The fountain in the middle of the restaurant was cool. But the food was gross. My friends didn't eat all of their meals either. One friend I ate with said the food is "meh". It seems like it has changed since the photos taken for the menu and such, otherwise I guess they just spruce it up for big events or busy nights because there's a water fountain that seems busted right in the middle of everything. Nice ambiance, great chips and salsa that are hot and complimentary, and attentive staff! Been here twice and got food to go once, all three times were excellent! My husband and I went in for takeout of taco salads. We have never been there before, so I think that we would try it and see how good they were. Good, they were not! The salads were horrible. There were no beans on the bottom understandable however there was no seasoning in the hamburger whatsoever none. There was very little lettuce on top, so what we got was a whole bunch of plain hamburger a little bit of lettuce and cheese on top. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. I was hoping that it was good so that we could go back and go inside and sit down and have dinner but I would not go back to that place and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. This used to be a great restaurant. My family received Poor customer service tonight! I ordered food at the beginning of our dinner to take home to my teenage son. The waitress forgot to place our order and we had to wait after we received our bill for it to be cooked. She proceeded to tell us after eating at the restaurant for 1.5 hours, I would be charged a fee for my son's order. She argued with me that this fee was mandatory per management. There were no chip or salsa with the order, that was also an additional fee. Every Mexican restaurant I've been too includes these services without extra fees. Being a vegetarian on a previously trip this restaurant, I found meat in my chili releno. I overlooked this mistake , since my family had been coming here for years. The food is consistently above average for most Mexican food establishments. We often order the cheese dip. It's the white variety that has become the norm. It has enough spice to give it good flavor, but not too much cause discomfort to those who don't like heat. We have made our way through the menu several times, and have settled on our favorites. My wife usually settles on the chicken chimi, and I the parrilla para uno. The chimi is full of flavor and like the cheese dip spiced just right. Served with some of the most flavorful beans and rice. My parrilla is like fajitas on steroids. A sizzling platter of steak, chicken, shrimp, pork and chorizo is presented with accompanying sides of rice, refried beans, lettuce, etc. Even though the beans et al are worthy of their place on the table, the contents of the sizzling platter get all my attention. The various meats are all spiced just right. Nothing over powering the other. If you can't make up your mind as to which fajita you should order, this would be your best bet as you get a sampling of all they have to offer. (Except for bacon, another meal, another time.)
