I read the amazing reviews and decided to give it a try. The restaurant is small but cozy. The staff greets you with jest and are super attentive and kind. I had the deep fried jalapeño cheese sauce burrito. After seeing it's picture on Yelp I had to go try it. Overall I'd rate the dish 1/5. It could be because I just got beans and rice in my burrito. Maybe if I added protein it would be flavorful? The queso on it was also cold. The burrito wasn't served hot as I'd expect a deep fried burrito to be that was smothered in queso. The salsa was best mediocre. Taste like pre made jar salsa. With that being said I really would like to go back and try something else. With the amazing rating and reviews there's no way my experience is what it is normally like at the restaurant. I'm going back but this time a bit earlier in the evening (not at 8 pm as this time) and trying something different. Wish I could .5 ratings would do a 3.5. In any case let's start with my order: 10 taco emergency kit. The tacos them selves were really small. The fixings were good. The two salsas they provided were inadequate in terms of spicy and flavor so I opted to use one of the ones I had in my fridge and had made from home. The tortillas were decent quality in terms of meat to tortilla ratio very much lacking. As someone who lived in Mexico for 14years I don't think these hold up well, but considering we are nowhere's near the Mexican border they're okay. I feel terrible writing this review because over the years I have supported this business but it needs to be said. If the owners aren't there food comes out wrong, without items that are part of the meal (tortillas), or just poor quality. I had the driest pork carnitas here on one trip they were so hard I could barely chew them. Other times food taken to go was cold in the middle (cheese not melted), missing ingredients. This is a second review. I lived in Lacey, but we moved Sept 2021, It is now April 2022. When I lived here we would visit this restaurant a minimum of once a week, it was our favorite. So when we came for a visit we had to go to our favorite spot. I was sad to not be able to think of this place as a 5 star anymore. We've went twice since being here and both times the service was not good. I understand inflation, it's everywhere. But it doesn't require a restaurant to lower their standards. Raise the price but keep things the same. Portions are smaller, to go boxes cost money on your check, horchata is non refillable. I will say the food was just as good as it always was and I will continue to come back during our visit in town and overlook the things I've listed simply because I love their food. read more

Came here on a Friday night. Two people in our party ordered 3 tacos a piece. We should have been warned about the size of these tacos because they were so small. We waited quite a while for our food and then when we asked if we could order more tacos since they were so small, our waitress told us that it would be a while. We decided not to order any more since we had already waited so long. We also ordered guac. It was good but was $10.99 for a small portion. Our waitress seemed rush and forgot about a few things that we asked for. Overall the service and food portions were subpar. We left still hungry and dissatisfied at the service. They had these vegan options that were advertised that I still cannot stop thinking about. My wife got the nopales fajitas with corn tortillas and it was hella delicious, that nice fry on all the veg tossed together, even the broccoli was cooked right. The side of rice and black beans was the perfect addition of extra protein. Those potato tacos were also the bomb. This is our favorite Mexican food establishment in the area. Always fresh and delicious. Environment in the restaurant is fantastic and the staff is 100% helpful and respectful. We ordered on postmates and the wrong food was delivered to my house but the order appeared correct on the receipt stapled to the bag. I called the restaurant and they made me a new order, included complimentary flan, and DELIVERED IT THEMSELVES! Mi Pueblo!!! Mi Pueblo is tasty, especially their jalapeño cheese covered enchiladas. I'm a proponent of pork, particularly spicy pork (adobada), so I always have them prepare the enchiladas with adobada rather than chicken or beef. That combo is slappin' and I highly recommend you try it. Their adobada street tacos are also my favorite as well. Boom, Boom, BASS, BASS, BOOM! BASS BOOST! My husband, myself, husbands uncle and grandma all went here tonight for dinner and I was very impressed with the food. Grandma got the California burrito and it was huge! We both got huge eyes when it came. She couldn't even finish it. My husbands uncle got the chicken fajitas and that smelled so good when it came out. It's also a very big portion which was awesome. My husband got enchiladas con crema (with cream) and he said that was very yummy as well. I got the vegetarian chimichanga and just expect the beans to be in a cup. I was a little thrown off by that but I didn't mind it either! The owner at the end of our meal came back to ensure that everything was good and he was so friendly.
