We were on our way home from Seattle and I found this place on YELP, here's my review. Staff: 10/10 friendly, down to earth, and kind. Restaurant: appeared clean, the bathrooms were clean, they had a changing table in the Women's bathroom. They were making house tortillas when we walked it and they were amazing. When we were leaving the had two tables full of tortillas laid out which I thoughts was strange though? Food: in my opinion the beans were meh (I love El Sarape beans), I think I got the wrong order but everything was decent, I'd probably eat there again. My partner is a big Mexican food lover and he says it was a 8/10. Their tortillas and cheese dip were life giving. Pricing: two kids, two adult meals, one appetizer and drinks $125 total.

The interior is nice and clean. There are about six booths and the rest is table seating. It can get kind of chilly when the door opens if you're sitting at one of the tables. The service has always been good no matter who is working. The menu is very extensive. There are plenty of seafood options as well as a nice vegetarian selection. The margaritas are pricey but two people can split one of the 32 oz. The portion sizes are very big. They have a really nice creamy hot sauce you must ask for. All in all, this place is consistent and pretty dang good.

Found this place on Yelp. Located in a small strip mall, we wanted Mexican food while heading back from Portland. Large selection on the menu, dishes you don't often find on standard Mexican restaurant menus. Our food arrived promptly and were large portions. Both the combo plate and the burrito were amazing! The staff was very welcoming and efficient, restaurant and restrooms all very clean. I've already come back a second time, and I live 50 miles away!

got a little tiny carne(?) taco, which was good. lots of cilantro and onions, but what got me was the little baby green salsa squeeze bottle :o it made me so smiley throughout the meal because I could not get over the size. that with the little baby plate, too! carne was chewy and no fat on it, which I liked. Dulce got a combo meal, so I had a bite. It was okay, but I love the generosity with the portions. service was good, too. I apologize to the female server who I practiced my Spanish with. at least she was kind and willing to work with me. I am grateful for her tolerance and patience. quick service, too, because we sat down and had our food within 15 minutes. I like that there are multiple booths and also multiple tables with chairs available for seating. I feel like they always book booths the fastest, but there were so many that we were able to sit at one! I loved the bright and colorful decorations that covered all sides of the wall. it just puts a smile on your face as the mariachi music playing overhead takes over :) I would rate higher had the discounts and happy hours been better explained because I feel like the waitress rushed through the explanation that dulce and I were not able to comfortably order from that part of the menu. We were unsure about the fine print...

Blown away! This exceeded my expectations and has to be the best queso and quesabirria tacos I've ever had.. I've been trying everywhere I can in Washington over a year.

I would never go back to this place again ! I am from El Paso, TX ! I know what menudo and pasole is. They gave me menudo with NO HOMONY !!! I couldn't believe it ! It smelled so rancid ! I had to tell them , where's the homony , doesn't menudo come with homony ?!! Smh !!! Gave me tacos and they were dry !!! No salt no seasoning ! The only thing that was ok was the lemonade !!! I heard them snicker and laugh that I wasn't touching the menudo ! That's when I stood up and told them to close out my check ! I'm not paying for the menudo, it stinks. She wants to say , menudo is different ! Girl bye !!! They tried it !!! The service was terrible and so was the food !!

$1.99 carnita street tacos are soooooo good and a hell of a deal in my opinion. They may be cheap but the flavor is out of this world.

Can someone tell me the different types of salsa they offer? It looks like a great variety

    Home made tortillas here?

Yes they make their own. They serve different kinds of tortillas depending on what your eating. Not all the meals come with their homemade tortillas. But they are amazing!!!

Most Caribbean spots around Washington lean Jamaican, so finding a place doing proper Puerto Rican dishes felt special. The menu and quality reminded me of what you'd find back on the island, at least pre-pandemic. They had classics like chillo frito, mofongo, and pasteles, and it tasted like homemade small business cooking. Honestly, I thought it was even better than La Isla before the fire that shut that place down. A few pain points. It's far. The restaurant is south of Tacoma near I-5, so it's a bit of a drive whether you're coming from Seattle or even from the airport. It was also cash only when I went, though you could sit inside and eat. Last time I called it sounded like they were still mostly doing the to-go model and hadn't fully gone back to the way it used to operate. I haven't made the trip again yet, but it's still on my list. Also worth saying, after the pandemic when I moved to San Diego, I couldn't find an authentic Puerto Rican spot there either. That made me appreciate this place even more. After the Benito Super Bowl performance I'm definitely craving some Puerto Rican food again. Might have to make the drive soon.

They have so much variety on this menu, we have trouble picking out what to try each time. They even have vegetarians covered much better than is typical for Latin American food. You won't be disappointed here. Yes, it is a little expensive and it is slow, but totally worth the wait and the price. I don't say that lightly. They also give quite a bit of food for the money, so I think it is worth it. Every time I come to Crossroads, I think I'm going to try some other place out, but it ends up being a dish from this place. Don't worry we get multiple entrees when we go to Crossroads. We each had the Patacones: crispy green plantains with tomato and onion sauce, cheese, and choice of protein (we each chose chicken) and the Empanadas Colombianas: fried corn empanadas filled with choice of protein, lentils, cheese, or spinach cheese. The plantains were crisp and the protein was incredibly flavorful. However, it was the empanada and the accompanying sauce which captured our hearts. The empanada shell was so crisp, contrasted with the ooey, gooey melted cheese, perfectly complimented by the green sauce. Although I like my food a little spicy, the green sauce was made the traditional way. They do have a spicier sauce, if you ask. We will definitely return-- the food was delicious, the staff was incredibly friendly. Make a trip to Monserrate Columbian Cuisine--it is worth the search.

Last night, it took 15 minutes after we sat down for someone to just ask us, "has anyone helped you?" Twice when we ordered pupusas for our toddlers with drink orders, the kids' pupusas don't arrive until AFTER everyone else's main dishes have arrived (and after we have to remind the waitress). Cocktails have been forgotten, which we have had to remind them on as well. To our server's credit, she apologized many times and said the restaurant just got super busy at once. However, we noticed other tables (who arrived after us) were attended to and served sooner than we were. Given all the disorder, our family has decided we are just going to get takeout. The food is still excellent, but we are frustrated with the service.
