I was hankering for some chips and salsa and Mexican food. For starters, the restaurant was DARK! Like, realllllly dark. Sure, it's true I'm in my 6th decade of life. So maybe my eyes aren't young eyes. But I shouldn't require a flashlight to read the danged menu! We ordered drinks. My son, who has disabilities, was served his drink in a lidded cup while everyone else got a regular open cup. He's 21!!!! If he needed a lid, we wouid have asked for it. I know it's a relatively small thing. I understand the waiter meant no harm. But it's a big pet peeve of mine. He's 21! The food was fine. It scratched my itch. We came in for dinner. I had been here once before several years ago and the place is totally remodeled since then. There is a full bar, but I just had an Arnold Palmer. It's kind of dark inside with dark ceilings and floors and paneling and it does make it slightly difficult to see the menu if you're gettin' up there in years! Not me of course. I'm young and spry. I had a mole de pollo which was quite good. The mole sauce was very good, it had a nice subtle heat. We had our chips and salsa refilled which was nice. Everyone was nice I've only got one real complaint and that is this - my son is 21 years old and has Down syndrome but he is perfectly capable of eating and drinking just like anyone else however when our beverages were brought over his beverage was put in a kids cup with a lid where's the rest of us got regular glasses. I'd prefer places presume competence and if I don't ask for a kids cup just put his beverage in a regular glass like the rest of us at the table got. Best Unique Salsa; Cilantro Salsa! This is the newest location my coworkers seem to favor. I have been here a few times and the food is pretty good. They give complimentary pico de gallo salsa and do a great job of serving us every time we visit. The decor seems like an updated version of the other restaurants in this chain so it's more visually appealing to visit this location. Other than that, it seems like exactly the same food and everything. I highly suggest mixing the Cilantro Salsa and White Cheese Dip as they taste great together. The fish tacos are tilapia, which were ok but unsurprisingly I wasn't as fond of them as I might've been with different fish. The chicken fajitas were surprisingly juicy and yummy. Also, the drinks were great and cheap- they have great deals! I know I'll end up here again and I'll be pleased to return. Last time I went to MiPueblo I ordered the Skinny Nachos. They are so good. A little spicy, but not bad.

I have been going to Mi Pueblo for years. I had the worst experience last night!!!! I have heard stories of been treated a little different by certain staff because of the color of your skin. I feel so humiliated and will not be going back. My husband and I frequent visit this establishment ...at least twice a week for dinner and drinks. Last night we did a 2 for1 margarita special. When he was on his 2nd drink, I asked if he could let me taste his frozen margarita which I wanted to mix with mine, which was on the rocks. As soon as I tasted the drink, he asked the bartender, Maria, if he could have another drink. She immediately shouted, oh no!!!! you can't have another one, you shared with "her". I said, are you kidding, we both have the special and I wanted to taste his frozen one. My husband then asked for the manager, who watched the entire scene, he walked over and said, oh it's on the wall. My husband asked, what's on the wall?? The manager then said, I know you all come here ALL the time but she following the rules. I then stood up and said, as frequent customers, all she had to say was, you can't share your drink or let her taste it, but to try and humiliated us like we trying to steal a $5 drink.... unacceptable!!! We both had the special.... how is he sharing with me???? This is not the first or the second time that she has been loud with us, and I didn't want to think she was being rude on purpose, but clearly I was mistaken. I do not have to spend my money with anyone if I am not respected. I will be looking for other ways to express how I feel about how we were treated. I am currently going to put in a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and try and locate the owner to let him know the disrespect we received. read more

The wait staff has always been very friendly and the manager/owner is super nice. Ask for the spicy salsa - the regular salsa is fine - but mix it w their spicy salsa and you're having a party for your taste buds. Love their Tacos mi pueblo- just your choice of meat w onions; cilantro; and tomatillo sauce. I've liked the chorizo and the pastor. My mouth is watering now. My husband and I went there after church, (4-2) and we were greeted immediately, seated immediately, and received our chips and salsa right after we sat down. Our server, Christina, was awesome and attentive, and the food was fresh and hot. The manager came by to check on us too. They really have it together! This is my absolute favorite place to get Mexican food in Southaven! Having come here at least dozen times, this review is overdue, though it will be very generalized. Rancho Grande used to be at this location. When they built a new location, I thought I would simply be going to their new location. However, after their opening, they have been plagued with horrendous parking issues and underwhelming service. Enter the newest Mi Pueblo location. First, the decor. It creates a very clean, welcoming environment. Second, the staff. Everyone is very polite, helpful and welcoming. Thirdly, the drinks are very competitively priced. Fourth, the food is great. I always have an insatiable desire to burn my mouth off and they're always more than happy to oblige. Finally, this will sound silly and out of place, but the bathroom is always, always, always, super immaculate. So much so one could even eat their meal there should they ever run out of space. Not something I ever really pay much attention to until I have seen it done right, by them. Since there sadly aren't many reviews, I will have to add more pictures on the next trip! read more

The food is consistently on point! We have loved coming to this establishment regularly over the past 3 years... but in the last 2 months we have had terrible luck with the service. Yesterday we waited and waited for someone to take our drink order (many many empty tables, not peak time). After he got what we wanted to drink the waiter zoomed away before letting us order or even asking if we wanted dips. Then we were given our food (again, good!) and we had no silverware. We waited for someone to come back our way- but our server was standing in a group of servers talking and goofing off, and finally after 5 minutes made it our way to drop off silverware. We also had to ask for refills with drinks and chips when both were sitting empty for a while on the table. There's too many restaurants like this one around here for anyone to have bad service. We might take a break from Mi Pueblo and return in a few months hoping things go back to how they were. read more

This was the worst experience my family and I has ever had in our lives. We were discriminated against because of the color of our skin. We were seated first and watched two group get seated after us and got served before us because they both were white. The kicker was that the manager saw the whole thing and made excuses for what happened. This is my favorite Mexican Restaurant in North Mississippi. The food is exceptional. The staff is friendly and you get prompt service. Noe is very friendly, professional and an expert in running a restaurant. My youngest grandson loves the fact he can play outside when the weather permits.
