The food was pretty good. My wings were seasoned well but didn't taste like lemon pepper wings that I ordered. My wife fajitas was too salty and gave her a slight headache. But all in all it was fresh and hot, and served quickly. The service was great although the young lady didn't mention her name. She was attentive and even the management or owner came to our table to check on us and to invite us to her other locations. I was trying to get her to look a a location in Cobb or Cherokee County Georgia. The ambiance was spot on for this type of Mexican Food. I would add a little soft music overhead when there is no live entertainment just to set the mood.The rooftop is a bonus plus the outdoor seating on the lower lever was great. I saw a guy smoking a cigar outside on the patio, but his seat was facing the inside bar. There's plenty of parking with handicapped parking available. Nice clean restrooms. This place is busy from all aspects of your visit which leads me to the unorganized staff, again all aspects were below expectations, at best. The bartender could not keep up drinks so the waitress tried to talk us out getting cocktails...we waited...and were not correct so we walked out to the bar. In the process of remaking the drinks I ran into the manager, who wanted to know how it was going to which I had to tell how my experience was so far....wasn't good so she bailed out...no apologies or anything. Our waitress was never around to refill water.....water! She got an automatic gratuity so she wasn't attentive to the needs of her customers. We had a party of 4 and they stick us in a booth for really 2 people not 4 so again this place is very out of order and no one but the customers see this. I spent $88 on food that was just as good as any Mexican Restaurant in Southaven. I don't mind paying up for great service and food but you do not get that here! I am posting pics of the food but as you can see the fajitas did not come with pico, tortillas or anything that is customary with fajitas. Did our waitress come check? I rarely leave negative reviews, but after our experience celebrating my daughter's birthday, I feel it's important to share. I called on Friday to make a reservation for Sunday at 5:30 p.m. for 12-15 people and specifically mentioned it was for my daughter's birthday dinner. Although I never received a confirmation text, the employee pulled up my name using my phone number since I've ordered from Tekila before, so I had every reason to believe the reservation was confirmed. When we arrived, the hostess informed us that no reservation had been made. They were able to accommodate us, but we were seated in a very cramped, high-traffic area that was far from ideal for a large party that included both children and elderly family members. Unfortunately, the service only got worse from there. Our dinner lasted over two hours despite the fact that we only ordered two alcoholic drinks (one beer and one margarita), skipped appetizers, and ordered only entrées. While our waitress was friendly, she seemed much more attentive to another large party she was serving. We had to repeatedly ask for drink refills, small plates for the birthday cake, and to-go boxes. Eventually, our family cleared all of the dirty dishes from the table ourselves just to make room for the cake. By this point, several family members had to leave before we were even able to sing "Happy Birthday" because the meal had taken so long. That was incredibly disappointing for what was supposed to be a special celebration. I spoke with the manager and showed screenshots of the phone call proving I had called to make the reservation. I explained my frustrations and made it clear I wasn't looking for free food or discounts--I simply wanted them to understand how poorly the evening had gone. Their response was disappointing. I was met with blank stares, handed a business card to call someone else, and offered no genuine effort to make things right. As I walked back to my table, members of the staff were looking at us and laughing, which made an already frustrating experience feel even more disrespectful. To make matters worse, our bill included a $30 cake-cutting fee that had never been disclosed when I made the reservation. I refused to pay it since it had never been mentioned, and they did remove the charge. I later called the general manager, who was more apologetic, but I believe she may have been the person who failed to record my reservation in the first place. She mentioned that this is a family-owned business, and I truly hope they take customer service more seriously because the staff's professionalism was extremely lacking. The food itself was just average, and certainly not enough to make up for everything else that went wrong. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. We chose Tekila to celebrate a special family occasion, and instead we left frustrated, disappointed, and wishing we had celebrated somewhere else. Our server's name was AK, he was absolutely the best! He had several tables and disappeared but I didn't have any worries or concerns because he always seemed to return before I even knew I needed something. He told jokes, good sense of humor. He joked around but he was also efficient and despite the kitchen being busy and the bar busy, we still got good and drinks in a timely manner with excellent customer service.
