CJ was great. Food is always excellent. It is such a great place to come and socialize.

This place is busy from all aspects of your visit which leads me to the unorganized staff, again all aspects were below expectations, at best. The bartender could not keep up drinks so the waitress tried to talk us out getting cocktails...we waited...and were not correct so we walked out to the bar. In the process of remaking the drinks I ran into the manager, who wanted to know how it was going to which I had to tell how my experience was so far....wasn't good so she bailed out...no apologies or anything. Our waitress was never around to refill water.....water! She got an automatic gratuity so she wasn't attentive to the needs of her customers. We had a party of 4 and they stick us in a booth for really 2 people not 4 so again this place is very out of order and no one but the customers see this. I spent $88 on food that was just as good as any Mexican Restaurant in Southaven. I don't mind paying up for great service and food but you do not get that here! I am posting pics of the food but as you can see the fajitas did not come with pico, tortillas or anything that is customary with fajitas. Did our waitress come check? Did we get anyone to check or bring the rest of the food...nope. All around awful experience and I am going to give 2 stars because the food was alright....that saved them from 1 star. read more

First time here and I will certainly be back. This is high-end Mexican eats. Service was great but the food was better. From the chips and salsa, to the appetizers, to the entrees and finishing up with dessert. Saturday afternoon 4 guests and the place was jumping. The food was good but it's not consistent. I've had the seafood fajitas 3 times and its different everytime, good but different. We've eaten here several times and it is an absolute fav! The food is incredible, tried several dishes and all have been outstanding. Service is top notch. Our server's name was AK, he was absolutely the best! He had several tables and disappeared but I didn't have any worries or concerns because he always seemed to return before I even knew I needed something. He told jokes, good sense of humor. He joked around but he was also efficient and despite the kitchen being busy and the bar busy, we still got good and drinks in a timely manner with excellent customer service. The establishment is very spacious, its 2 levels and outside eating on the ground floor along with upstairs. Everything is very modern and the food is Tex -Mexican but no complaints. When we first walked in, the hostess was very quite. We asked for a high chair and sling. The table we sat at wasn't able to fit both, so we asked for a booster seat and never brought to us. This place is a favorite of mine and many others because they're always busy. Parking needs improvement. The lot isn't big enough for the crowds they draw. This place is pretty spacious and have a lot of seating, but they are popular, that's why it's important to call ahead. Once we were seated, we were given complimentary chips and salsa! It was very good. I also ordered queso. It was ok. I think if I would've gotten a meat added it would've been better. The drinks were delicious as well. I had the Prickly Pear Margarita. It had Avion, prickly pear vodka & syrup, lime juice and was a great size for only $11! For my entree, I had the steak and chicken quesadilla. It was ok. I wish the tortilla was buttered. We had an amazing dinner. Our server, Ricardo, was very attentive and helpful. We started with drinks (an old fashioned, sangria, and margaritas). All of them were delicious. My first visit here. No reservation were made we walked in on a Sunday. Very nice, clean and welcoming! The bar area is nice and they had the Sunday NFL games playing. We were quickly seated and served with salsa and chips! I've never been to a Mexican restaurant that serves the green salsa as well they definitely aren't the normal Mexican restaurant! I've been here three times now and I can't believe I haven't written a review of Tekila yet. Every time I've been here I've found the staff to be very professional and knowledgeable. Chips and are nicely seasoned with the same seasoning as is on the carne asada. Chips come with 2 salsas, red and green. Both flavorful. Restaurant is very nice on the inside, clean and not loud. Look, I get it, they were busy because there was a Teddy Swims concert across the street, and for that, you get an extra star for two stars, but the experience was still frustrating. Our waiter, Scott, seemed friendly at first, taking our drink and queso order, but it all fell apart. The queso never arrived, there was confusion with the drinks, and they took forever. After we ordered food, Scott vanished. Someone else brought our meals, and we didn't see him again-he was helping other tables but completely ignored us, even though we were the closest table to the kitchen, so he passed us every time he went by.
