Love the food! Not the wait. I have been to this location several times since opening. The food is always fresh and tasty but for some reason the wait is unusually long for this type of food. It seems to be that they could use an additional staff member on the serving line like other establishments of their type. However, I understand the location and lack of volume at off peak times. I did wait over 15 minutes for 4 tacos. That is a very long time! The tacos are very good and their breakfast is flat out awesome! My daughter has had several of their deserts and loves them all. Speed up the service and I would be happy to pay those prices more often! read more

I went a little before 8:30 but they already shut down the grill and other food items. If your hours say you close at 9, customers expectation is they should be able to get hot food from the menu. The business should change their business hours if they are not willing to provide an excellent service to customers. End of story, I left without food. read more

Stopped for a late Sunday lunch while traveling. We got a chicken burrito and a brisket quesadilla. Both were made to order and very yummy. The portions were generous and a little challenging to eat while driving. Shout out to the staff. They were super nice, efficient and very helpful. read more

They just opened 3 days ago (on 04/16/2018), so one might expect a few hiccups with a completely new crew, but the end result was awesome! Fresh tortillas?!! Are you kidding me?! They young lady behind the counter said, "I'll make you one right now." WHAT?!!! That's a first for me at a fast food restaurant. Hands down, the freshest tortilla I've ever had anywhere. It was SO GOOD!!! A far cry from "the bell." The ingredients were delicious, too. I added grilled onions which gave the burrito a slightly sweet flavor, to offset the hot sauce. Great selection of drinks, including one of those Coke machines with a gazillion flavors. Folks were very friendly and eager to please. Food was decent. Reminded me of Chipotle but cheaper. The homemade tortillas were very good. I came in on a Tuesday, ordered the "Taco Tuesday special" and I was told "No, we aren't doing that." Then I got the "frozen" Horchata... Was warm, not even cold... And it had SO much cinnamon in it, it was gritty. I still hate going there but I like there food. Plus I live in a tiny town with only like 5 food options. TAKE ORDERS IMMEDIATELY. Why do I always have to wait for the car at the window to get their food b 4 I can order??? Take my order immediately so maybe u can get it started. Apparently this location feels like they can make whatever hours they want without regard to the times posted on their website or building. The food is amazing but the service is horrible. When I went there were five employees working and only one was working the taco line. The rest were standing around. I also ordered a large salsa because the small ones aren't ever enough and the lady didn't even fill it half way. She seemed offended that I even bothered her. Stopped in today and tried it out. The counter help was helpful and friendly. I got a chicken burrito bowl just the way I like it and it was yummy Everything tasted fresh. My husband got a steak burrito and said it was really good. One filled him up. It was a little pricey , but food was good so we will definitely be visiting again. read more

This place u is a definitely good for what you would expect out of gas station Mexican food. It's kind of set up like chipotle in how you order. I've eaten here for lunch and breakfast and everything was good. The wait time is a little long but no other issues so far. read more

Writing this review on behalf of my father that isn't on Yelp: "I tried this new restaurant and was totally disappointed. The ordering process is confusing; tries to emulate Panda Express with a redneck version that doesn't work. The food, like Panda, is in containers but is completely unappetizing. Refried spilled over in to the next container, containers are 1/4 full and food appears unappetizing. Prices are too high. Workers are poorly trained and appear confused. I didn't even get a receipt with my meal, which I returned and asked for a refund... it took them 10 minutes to process the refund. They should change the name of the restaurant from Mi Taco to Mi Flapo. I guarantee that it will be out of business within three months." read more

I went about 2 weeks after the opened and the were still very unorganized. I understand being new I was just frustrating that they couldn't figure out how the tortilla machine worked for about 10 minutes. The last seemed very frustrated and rude towards everyone in line. I used to really enjoy getting breakfast here in the morning before work! There's nothing like a great breakfast taco to start your day...However, within the past month I think the morning staff has changed and they changed their hours??? Ever since then, service has been TERRIBLE! Three times I have pulled up to the drive through window 30min after they are supposed to be open and no one has greeted me and I've just under up going to the donut shop. I started going inside thinking that maybe they just forgot to announce they don't do drive through orders, but that wasn't any better. When I went to order inside it seemed like everyone had just arrived...I confirmed that they should've opened 30min before and they said they were just running behind. I have researched their burritos on many occasions. Here is what I think. I like the big burrito format. I like having a choice of ingredients (black beans, refried pinto, cilantro or Spanish rice, sour cream, cheese, pico, etc.). I have had the chicken, ground beef, barbacoa, and brisket. The barbacoa is my preferred ingredient. The ground beef is under spiced. The rest is ok but could also use some pepping up in the flavor department (please no more MSG). The tortilla is often undercooked, but it is cooked right then fresh off of the griddle. The staff is always eager to please, appears grateful for the business, and the kitchen area appears very clean. Portion for the $ ratio is good. If they spiced it up a little and worked on the tortilla I would give them a 4. I will continue my research of these burritos. read more

Finally a fast food place that is worth recommending. Van Alstyne has been in need of something new, and I'm glad to see the changes coming our way up the 75 freeway. Mi Taco, my only recommendation is to keep your bins full. I've been there on two different occasions, where you were out of certain selections and the staff blamed it on a busy breakfast and lunch rush. We got there at 1:30pm on one day and 6:00pm on another, most people are not expecting you to be out of stuff. Every time I go it it's busy, keep it up and it will be like that for a long while to come. I've been here 15 years, we have seen a lot of fast food spots and restaurants come and go in that area. This place is better than Chipotle in so many ways. Besides the FRESH tortillas, the queso is better, they have grilled jalapeños and they don't serve runny sour cream. They put some kind of seasoning on their chips that is good too. My wife loved her sopapilla with cinnamon butter, honey and caramel. There were a bunch of choices you can put on sopapillas and churros and they're inexpensive. We'll be back next time to try their breakfast. read more
