That's the thing though: the food was good, not great or exceptional. I enjoyed my Mi Tierra Special very much, but it wasn't life-changing. Great margaritas and a respectable number of vegetarian options! As a vegan, I wish I had been told on the menu that the vegetable fajitas came from the kitchen topped with melted cheese, but I ate around it. We were in town visiting from Kansas City a couple of weeks ago and this is the worst restaurant I've ever been to!!! Waitress was the rudest I think I've ever had in my life!! We were jonesing for a blue margarita. Mi Tierra opened this weekend at 84 street. We were promptly greeted and went to the bar for a drink. The blue margarita was amazing. She had the 16 oz pappy went for the 21 oz. Then the big surprise.... Free chips and salsa... Hot and mild... AND bean dip. All complimentary. It was killer. Salsa was not as thick as we prefer but great. And the heart chips were fantastic. You can scoop snow with them. Thick and crisp and sturdy. I would like more salt, but I'm always looking for high blood pressure and a heart attack. This was our first of many visits. Good job on the decor and maybe with all that glass... Don't know what happened to Mia Terra but the last few times we went here the food has been awful just went yesterday 5-23 around 2pm not busy service was bad food was worse green pork was so sour rice was so dry and there salsa's were so full of cilantro it all you could taste not sure if they lost there cooks or what and the north one on 84th is just as bad eaten here since they first open on south side but not anymore so sad read more

Mi Tierra is located close to Mulligan's at the west end of the strip mall. It's the opposite end from Four Star Drug. Parking is easy for the business. My second visit was this past week. You're greeted by a host or hostess and seated. The restaurant is not gigantic but has a good selection of seating in booths or tables. The booths are personalized with MI TIERRA in block letters on the seat backs. Upon seating, we are provided chips, salsa and beans. I prefer the spicy salsa to the mild flavor. You also get water. I've had the Mi Tierra Enchiladas and love them. The chicken I choose works well. You have a choice of corn or flour tortillas on various selections of enchiladas. Only a couple of food options offer pork. I recommend giving this place a try. Portions are well sized and you shouldn't go home hungry. I haven't tried any alcohol here so I cannot comment on it. read more

I ordered the fajitas on the lunch special and got a generous portion at a reasonable price, the quality and flavor was absolutely awesome so much so I came back the following Monday for dinner and was EXTREMELY disappointed with the service and staff. The food at this restaurant is horrible. Disappointing because it's near my home and tried it 3 times.. If you enjoy food that has been cooked with no seasoning then warmed in a steamer for hours and then covered in sauce this is the restaurant for you. From the moment you walk in the door, you're greeted by a very friendly woman who works there. The staff have always been very attentive. When we were there last I never even had to ask for anything because our waitress already inquired about our drink refills, needs, etc. The food is definitely the best Mexican food we've had in town. The service is very good with attention to every detail. the margaritas are perfectly made, authentic and very well priced. Selection on the menu is typical of most Mexican food restaurants however they offer plenty of unique house specialities. Atmosphere is very decorative, and comfortable. The only reason why I did not give them a 5 star review is because the music was on very low so it was a bit uncomfortable to have a conversation at your table without the rest of the restaurant hearing. This rating is comparing to other restaurants in Lincoln. There are no fantastic Mexican restaurants in Lincoln but this is one of the best in town. To start your meal you receive warm corn chips, bean dip, spicy (more medium level) and mild salsa. I would recommend adding a bit of the spicy to the bean dip it really adds a nice level of flavor. If you want spicier just ask. If you like drinks they have specials many days of the week. The portions are good sized and unlike most places in town priced right. As far as the rest of the menu there are a lot of choices and pretty much find a combo for whatever you are looking for. My go to items are typically chicken. The seasoning added to the chicken on the Mi Tierra special is great and of course fajita you can't go wrong. Some of the items that typically are skipped as most Mexican restaurants don't make those items well you might find that you like how that items turns out here be that a chimichanga and chili relleno. I am glad we have this little Mexican restaurant in Lincoln. read more

This would be okay if it was right next door and you were craving Mexican (as long as your expectations weren't too high). really terrible experience here. went here after seeing a movie with my boyfriend and another couple. we were all stared at entering the building and chalked it up to be because we were all wearing pink. there was about 4 men working at the time who would come by the table and stare directly at my chest (note that i had a dress on but it was not provocative and covered my chest unless looking from right above me) this went on with multiple men for 30 minutes, they would come and offer more water when all of our cups were full just to stare at me. other customers noticed and said something and we all definitely noticed. my friend and i left the restaurant early with ruined appetites and left the guys to pay the check while we waited outside. this was a really disgusting experience and i would not recommend anyone to go here. read more

First time ordering take out from here. We really liked it. Got the #34 chicken, Tierra chimichangas, beef burrito and chicken taquitos. The beef burrito was sort of a surprise with how big it was and came with a spicy cheese sauce on top. It was tasty. On the #34 next time I would ask for double the pico and guacamole. On the Tierra chimichangas is order extra guacamole too. Everything was very good and portions were big, I just like a little extra lettuce, pico, etc. read more

It's a weird location in a strip mall, not the strip mall part, but it seems like it's on the backside? We found this place after playing racquetball at Genesis and found great reviews. Enjoyed my meal here. Salsa was some of the best, especially the spicy. I requested one each of the Enchiladas Suiza and Enchilada Spinach and they accommodated me. They had great flavor. Called in to pick up an order, could tell they were busy by the background so after I ordered I was surprised the gentleman said only 25-30 minutes. Husband got there and it was packed and ended up being about 45 minutes(not too bad). Got home and instantly knew it was wrong. We got an extra side of rice and beans but not our cheese dip. Opened the Chimichangas and it had sour cream and tomatoes we had asked to leave off. Opened the beef Burrito had a red sauce on it however I asked for that to be left off too. We just picked off what we didn't want(including the random frozen fry). But as soon as I went to take a bite it was very obvious how cold the meat was. Touched the chimichangas and they were just as cold. Ended up having to put everything in the oven including the rice and beans. No big deal to mess something up or put something on that was asked to be left off, but having two different meals be very cold was very disappointing. read more
