Went during the cherry blossom festival to warm up and had a happy surprise with the food and drinks! Would definitely recommend, friendly staff who also were able to seat and accommodate us in a timely manner when it was so busy

We had a large group for dinner last night and Mi Vida did not dissapoint. Eduardo the server was amazing he made sure we had everything we needed. He was very attentive and was on too often everything. The team really enjoyed the food not kne complained about the quality. I have been here many times and they have never dissapointed me. Definitely when visiting the Wharf and you want service, and really good food stop by Mi Vida.

Mi Vida has nice interior decor & dining areas. Reservation recommended; very crowded during dinner time. Shared a Ponche de Lola pitcher. Ordered from the 3 course menu: - tatanachos (pretty good, portion was huge) - pollo con mole poblano (came w/ rice & beans; super delicious & entree was massive) - churros (not my type, texture was funky) Friend got a complimentary birthday dessert. Overall 4 stars; experience was great.

Had dinner here for the first time, with my daughter, before we went to a concert at the Anthem. The place is really cute inside and there was a good amount of people on a Monday night. We had carne asada tacos and birria tacos, which were delicious and filling. We also had their guacamole and chips. The guac was great but $15 is a little pricey. Our waiter was great, he was attentive and replenished waters without having to ask. Would go back there if in the area again.

Enjoyed mi vida so much came two sundays in a row. This place is so cute and accommodating. I really enjoy that for the brunch they offer a wide variety of bottomless drinks. Get the wings (you can ask for extra seasoning and well done, which was honestly not needed but I will try soon)

Delicious Mexican food with beautiful views of the water. This place is huge with multiple bars and dining areas. Its menu is both vegetarian and gluten free friendly. We enjoyed the appetizers and nachos plus refreshing cocktails. The service was fantastic. The sorbet dessert was delicious. Definitely recommend.

Stopped in Mi Vida for a happy hour drink (and possibly a fish bowl(?)). Unfortunately, they had the fish glasses but not the ingredients to make the drink on question, so simple HH drinks it was. We saddled up at the bar top and enjoyed a few cocktails, while nibbling on chips&guac and chips&salsa. Note: this is a spot that does not offer chips and salsa for free. Overall, nice spot at the wharf for high-end Mexican fare.

Celebrated my mom's birthday and really enjoyed the food. The carne and catch all appetizer Un poco de todo that came with HUEVOS RELLENOS, ALITAS, TACOS DORADOS, EMPANADAS DE MARISCOS, PORK CHICHARRONES were both good. I would order the cantaloupe drink and Skirt Steak, Mushroom Cream Sauce, Roasted Poblanos every time I come. The service is kind of rushed but I get they stay crowded and busy. The birthday candle was a very nice touch, great place for celebrations or happy hour if you find yourself at the Wharf.

Our 5 star experience started with the hostess giving us a balcony table overlooking the wharf. The service was incredible. Very attentive staff. All 3 in our party were pleased with drinks and meals. Portions were smaller than we are accustomed to at Mexican restaurants but not skimpy. An appetizer is a good idea. The spicy margaritas really have a kick and great flavor.

This place was very inviting. Allowed us to sit at the bar to enjoy HH while it was slow with my niece. The food was good and was served fast & still hot. Frozen drink was very good & strong. Can easily take the tequila.

Decided to dine here while absorbing the sunny day. Reservation was made, we arrived a few minutes early and was able to get seated outside. The sun was definitely shining. There were umbrellas out for certain tables to shelter from some of the sun. After awhile employees came by and lowered the shade that assisted with the sun. We ordered our spirited drinks, chips and guacamole, and tacos. Drinks came and the one was very pretty in a fish designed glass. The chips and guac came out reason time followed by our tacos. The tacos and drinks to me were a waste of money spent. The steak taco was filled with plenty of meat but lacked the onions and cilantro that was suppose to be a part of the taco. It came meat and tortilla. The fish taco was tiny and greasy; literally 2 bites. The drink was not a hit either. This will be a one time visit unfortunately. Money wasted.

We visited Mi Vida for brunch and were honestly unimpressed. The food is okay, but the portions are extremely small and overpriced. Exhibit A is the wings (alitas), they charge $8 for 3 wingettes and they tasted terrible. The other food tasted better, like the shrimp tacos and the burrito tejano, but again the portions were extremely small. The service was also okay. It was good after they first came to our table, but it took a long time to even get water. We've been before and had a better experience, so I won't judge their lunch and dinner. If you're looking for brunch though, I'd recommend somewhere else.

I went to Mi Vida for my friend's birthday and had a really nice experience. I've been here before for lunch, but this was my first time coming for dinner, and the menu had a lot of great options. The food was good overall, but the brussels sprouts were definitely the star of the show they were AMAZING. I also got the crab enchiladas. They were okay, but for me they had a little too much onion and not enough crab, so the onion flavor was a bit overpowering. Even with that, I still enjoyed the overall experience. Our server was delightful, and I really appreciated that they sang happy birthday for my friend, which made the night feel extra special.

Mexican food is very hard to come by in DC. Mi Vida is fine. Very overpriced, but does the job.

There are. I believe their menu has symbols, like "G" next to items that contain gluten, so there are quite a bit of items on menu to choose from.

Date Night Done RIGHT!…read more D'Lena was such a pleasant surprise. From the moment we walked in, I was impressed by the exterior, but once we stepped inside, the ambiance completely sold me. The restaurant is grown, classy, sophisticated, and sexy without trying too hard, exactly the kind of atmosphere you want for a good date night in DC. And the service deserves its own paragraph! From the hostess to our waitress, the bus staff, and the manager, EVERYONE was attentive. What really stood out to me was how observant the staff was. They seemed to actually pay attention to customers' body language and anticipate what was needed. If one team member couldn't get to something quickly, another person stepped in. That kind of teamwork makes a huge difference because you never feel forgotten or left waiting unnecessarily. The manager was especially personable. While we were waiting for our food, she came over and actually chatted with us for about 5-10 minutes. Not the typical quick "How is everything?" check-in she genuinely engaged with us. That made the experience feel very personal. Now...the presentation of the tomahawk steak was EVERYTHING! If you order it, just know it is a LOT of food. It's easily enough for more than two people, so come hungry or bring people who are ready to eat! We enjoyed several things throughout the meal and loved the overall experience. My appetizer personally wasn't my favorite, but that's more about my own taste than the food itself. I'm not a huge fan of a lot of cheese, and this particular dish had more cheese than I prefer. If you're a cheese lover, though, this is probably right up your alley. And then there's the downstairs lounge! I absolutely loved that you can essentially have two different experiences under one roof. After dinner, heading downstairs for the jazz performance was the perfect way to continue the night. The music had a really nice Latin influence, which made the whole vibe even better. There is a separate bar downstairs, so one thing to know is that the drinks offered downstairs are different from the cocktail experience upstairs. Also, the lounge space is limited, so I'd recommend making a reservation/RSVP or getting there early if you want to secure a spot. Overall, D'Lena gave us exactly what we were looking for: good food, beautiful surroundings, exceptional service, and an atmosphere that felt mature, elevated, and fun. Being able to have dinner AND transition into live music without leaving the restaurant made it an even better date-night experience. Definitely a 5-star experience for me, and I would absolutely go back.

I'm not one to complain about complimentary chips and salsa, but man no flavor and no salt in either salsas nor on the chips! Bummer. The garlic shrimp were pretty solid, albeit a fairly small portion of 4 shrimps for 18 bucks. The lomo saltado really missed the mark. Grey looking steak a la Applebees, not much flavor overall in the dish... beans and rice were good! Shrimp fajitas were also very forgettable, shrimp were well cooked but lacked seasoning. The 'epic margarita' aka a coronarita was okay, margarita itself lacked brightness and was a bit too sweet.
