As I was just browsing the city I went to the wharf with the intention of the "Fish and Chips" spot but the Happy hour sign caught my attention. As i sat at the bar I was shortly greeted by Madison she was super sweet but seem very confused and maybe like her first week or something. I ended up ordering from the happy hour menu but unfortunately the chef would not have the Chicken samosa for another hour ! I wasn't happy with the remaining choices for HH so i was left ordering 2 shrimp tacos and black beans. Big shoutout to Christian the bartender he made my coco melon margaritas PERFECTLY EACH TIME! definitely will be back for those

If you'd like to have your meal and drink with a view, this is the place to visit! The wait time can be tedious and that's because the area is very popular. The area, as mentioned earlier is incredible and the restaurant has a fun seaside design to complement the surrounding area. Service was good, nothing out of this world. However, some of the staff, including our waitress, could use a little more time in hospitality training because we had to ask for too many restaurant essentials. Food: while I do think that the tacos are painfully small. They are delicious! My favorites are the pork belly and fish tacos (both shown in my pictures). The kimchi was also a great addition but for the additional price, I expected more. Drinks: I ordered the skinny margarita, absolutely enjoyed! My boyfriend had an old fashioned which be liked. I love the location and the food so of course I'll keep supporting!

Bar Taco truly stands out as a culinary gem, exceeding expectations from the moment we stepped in. Smiles lit up the room, guiding us warmly to the bar and our seats. Our server, Scarlet, gave us a full run down of the menu, offering insightful recommendations that paid off. My go to will now be the Mediterranean bowl which can be full vegetarian or a protein can be added. Every bite was a testament to the kitchen's dedication to freshness and flavor. Though familiar with The Warf and other exquisite dining places , this visit to Bartaco is now sitting on top of my long list. From the delicious rice bowls, tasty tacos, and scrumptious chorizo appetizer, there is something for everyone. Let's not forget about my cucumber non alcoholic beverage that was so darn refreshing. Lastly, their patio and inside area offer a super nice and cool view. The perfect ambiance and atmosphere. Let this spot become your next go-to for an uplifting meal that hits all the right notes. Please thank you your staff for an excellent experience. We shall return. :-)

They've got a great happy hour menu. And it sure gets crowded at happy hour. The bartenders get really slammed. And this also makes it nearly impossible to get their attention to order food or close out your tab. The tacos and drinks we had were good. The decor is nice. It does get loud. Not a bad place.

The tacos are good but very overpriced for the portion size. You'll have to purchase about 4-5 tacos to be satisfied. Service 3.5/5 - Bar was slow and not attentive Tacos 3/5 - Good but not large portion and the fish taco meat portion was very small Ambiance 3.8/5 - Nice patio seating but the music is very loud inside and outside

I love that you can order individual tacos so that way you can try the different types without having to order a whole bunch. I tried the chicken and the duck and they are both really good. So good I ordered a 3 duck taco. They have a different style when it comes to the chips and salsa you have to break a big tortilla. The salsa is free refills but you have to pay for more chips. This should be complementary when you buy food and drinks.

Located at the Wharf and let me tell you we had a time! The bar was moving a little slow and the bartender kind of disappeared on us which had my friends at the other end of the bar giving some serious side eye. BUT. Terri or Terry swooped in like a superhero and saved the whole day. She wasn't even supposed to be behind the bar and still showed up and showed out. Because of her the food and drinks were coming and we were happy. I ordered the baja fish, Yucatan shrimp and crispy oyster and listen all three were good but that fish? That fish was doing something special. I would order all three again and honestly probably add more to the order because why not. We showed up fresh off a flight running on hunger pains and pure determination so everything tasted even better LOL. I ordered a drink too and I cannot remember the name of it for the life of me but I know it was good. The whole place is decorated so cute, very beachy and vacation feeling. If you haven't been go check it out and when you do please ask for Terri or Terry because she is the real GOAT!

Great margaritas. Very tasty Paloma. And outstanding tacos. We had the Ahi, the pork belly, and the duck tacos. All really unique and outstanding. I'm torn between the duck and the pork belly as my favorite. And the view is lovely. Right along the harbor. Great boat watching and people watching.

I have been coming here for years. They have a huge bar when you enter and there usually isn't a wait when you enter. I usually get the duck Birria quesadilla, guacamole, tuna poke, tuna tartare and their passion fruit margarita. For the tacos I usually get the pork belly, carne asada and sesame ribeye. Some of the tacos have Asian fusion influence and they do offer some vegetarian options. The food is always fresh and I am a big fan of their seasonal menu. They do offer a happy hour menu throughout the week. The tacos are average in size and I usually recommend ordering 3-5 per person to get full. When the weather gets warmer they do offer outdoor seating. The light here is dim and the noise level is low. They have great seating options for large parties. Highly recommend coming here for delicious tacos and fun margaritas.

Came back to bartaco for DC Cocktail Week, and this visit confirmed everything I loved the first time and then some. Brooke behind the bar was an absolute standout. Attentive without hovering, knowledgeable without overwhelming, and excited to walk me through the cocktail features. Soran and Javonte were just as amazing; warm, welcoming, and extremely intentional with the guest experience. The cocktails were fresh, balanced, and layered with flavor in a way that felt elevated but still fun. The food was just as strong, it plated well, seasoned perfectly, and consistently delicious. I LOVE their food options! What really sets this location apart is the energy: relaxed, stylish, and run by a team that clearly takes pride in what they do. It feels good to be here, and that's something you can't fake. I've reviewed bartaco before, but this visit deserved its own moment! If you're wondering whether The Wharf location still delivers? It absolutely does and the team deserves all their flowers.

    guacamole + chips (not spicy)

We went on a Saturday evening without a reservation and had about 40 minute wait. The Wharf is so pretty to walk around, so the wait didn't feel that long. We sat in the outdoor space, which we were really happy about since the music is quite loud and it's usually difficult to hear each other inside. Started with a large guacamole and then ordered 2-3 tacos each. After receiving our food, we were a little disappointed that the menu didn't describe the items very well. For example - Cauliflower Taco - Mediterranean inspired with hummus, smoky paprika, and pomegranate. It was okay, but we were thrown off with the flavors since the menu is pretty poor at describing their tacos. The ribeye one was Asian inspired and topped with kimchi. Most traditional (and we thought delicious) were the carne asada and verde chicken. We jumped from Asian to Mediterranean to more traditional Mexican flavors in a couple bites. Just weren't expecting it. Also note the street corn is on the cob. So be aware if you're not a fan. We'll rerun but will be a bit more strategic of what flavors we want to enjoy that night and ask more questions.

Starting an early Aloha Friday happy hour here ... a bunch of tacos (pork belly was the winner + sesame ribeye). Guac and chips is always a great starter here. We'll be back.
