Love coming here. Tonight I came here with my friend on a Friday night. Everything was quick! Didn't have to wait on a table, food came out quickly. I ordered the tacos: Ahi tuna, roasted duck, and Baja fish with the grapefruit and ginger drink. Everything was delicious. Amari was a great server !

I was in town with my wife and her friends and while walking the Wharf, we decided to have drinks and dinner before seeing a concert at the Anthem. Our bartender, "Audi" was engaging and made us the best drinks. We had mostly house margaritas, but I had the watermelon mint margarita. On the outside was a thing called Chamoy. Wow what a flavor bomb that was! It paired beautifully with the cocktail. We also ad a variety of fresh tacos and street corn served up by Carolina. She was amazingly attentive and kept us eating and drinking. The quality of food and drink is what sets this place apart from others. A true 5-star experience!

If you'd like to have your meal and drink with a view, this is the place to visit! The wait time can be tedious and that's because the area is very popular. The area, as mentioned earlier is incredible and the restaurant has a fun seaside design to complement the surrounding area. Service was good, nothing out of this world. However, some of the staff, including our waitress, could use a little more time in hospitality training because we had to ask for too many restaurant essentials. Food: while I do think that the tacos are painfully small. They are delicious! My favorites are the pork belly and fish tacos (both shown in my pictures). The kimchi was also a great addition but for the additional price, I expected more. Drinks: I ordered the skinny margarita, absolutely enjoyed! My boyfriend had an old fashioned which be liked. I love the location and the food so of course I'll keep supporting!

As I was just browsing the city I went to the wharf with the intention of the "Fish and Chips" spot but the Happy hour sign caught my attention. As i sat at the bar I was shortly greeted by Madison she was super sweet but seem very confused and maybe like her first week or something. I ended up ordering from the happy hour menu but unfortunately the chef would not have the Chicken samosa for another hour ! I wasn't happy with the remaining choices for HH so i was left ordering 2 shrimp tacos and black beans. Big shoutout to Christian the bartender he made my coco melon margaritas PERFECTLY EACH TIME! definitely will be back for those

Bar Taco truly stands out as a culinary gem, exceeding expectations from the moment we stepped in. Smiles lit up the room, guiding us warmly to the bar and our seats. Our server, Scarlet, gave us a full run down of the menu, offering insightful recommendations that paid off. My go to will now be the Mediterranean bowl which can be full vegetarian or a protein can be added. Every bite was a testament to the kitchen's dedication to freshness and flavor. Though familiar with The Warf and other exquisite dining places , this visit to Bartaco is now sitting on top of my long list. From the delicious rice bowls, tasty tacos, and scrumptious chorizo appetizer, there is something for everyone. Let's not forget about my cucumber non alcoholic beverage that was so darn refreshing. Lastly, their patio and inside area offer a super nice and cool view. The perfect ambiance and atmosphere. Let this spot become your next go-to for an uplifting meal that hits all the right notes. Please thank you your staff for an excellent experience. We shall return. :-)

The tacos are good but very overpriced for the portion size. You'll have to purchase about 4-5 tacos to be satisfied. Service 3.5/5 - Bar was slow and not attentive Tacos 3/5 - Good but not large portion and the fish taco meat portion was very small Ambiance 3.8/5 - Nice patio seating but the music is very loud inside and outside

Went for happy hour. Drinks were good. Churros were a little over cooked for my liking. Maybe the grease was old, not sure but I did still eat them.

They've got a great happy hour menu. And it sure gets crowded at happy hour. The bartenders get really slammed. And this also makes it nearly impossible to get their attention to order food or close out your tab. The tacos and drinks we had were good. The decor is nice. It does get loud. Not a bad place.

Our family stopped by Bar Taco during a long weekend visit to The Wharf. We passed plenty of fine dining options, but with two kids, the lively atmosphere here was a much better fit. Since it was a Saturday, we had about a 45-minute wait, but the outdoor performances nearby made the time fly. We requested outdoor seating and loved the festive waterfront setting, with live music, people strolling by, and the excitement of a World Cup match adding to the energy. Ordering was simple and efficient, and our server was friendly and helpful. We tried several tacos, including pulled pork, pork belly, and shrimp. They were flavorful, though definitely on the smaller side, so plan to order a few if you're hungry. The Korean BBQ ribeye rice bowl was a big hit with my son. The pork belly rice bowl was also tasty, though a bit spicier than expected. While the fusion of Mexican and Korean-inspired flavors wasn't everyone's favorite in our family, I enjoyed the food and the overall experience. A fun spot for a casual night out at The Wharf.

Located at the Wharf and let me tell you we had a time! The bar was moving a little slow and the bartender kind of disappeared on us which had my friends at the other end of the bar giving some serious side eye. BUT. Terri or Terry swooped in like a superhero and saved the whole day. She wasn't even supposed to be behind the bar and still showed up and showed out. Because of her the food and drinks were coming and we were happy. I ordered the baja fish, Yucatan shrimp and crispy oyster and listen all three were good but that fish? That fish was doing something special. I would order all three again and honestly probably add more to the order because why not. We showed up fresh off a flight running on hunger pains and pure determination so everything tasted even better LOL. I ordered a drink too and I cannot remember the name of it for the life of me but I know it was good. The whole place is decorated so cute, very beachy and vacation feeling. If you haven't been go check it out and when you do please ask for Terri or Terry because she is the real GOAT!

I used to visit a bartaco location in Nashville on occasion when I lived there, but a friend and I stopped at this DC Wharf location when we found ourselves hungry and thirsty with about a half hour to kill before a matinee show at Arena Stage (which is just a couple of minutes away on foot). We walked in, grabbed some seats at the bar (their bar is huge), and grabbed the menus they keep at the bars/tables. We ordered some corn dip, ceviche, and a couple of drinks. The ceviche was good. The corn dip was a surprise (I was expecting something more like esquites, but it was a pureed corn dip) but was still tasty. Our drinks were great. I loved my Paloma Fresca (libélula joven tequila + grapefruit + lime + peychaud's bitters + grapefruit bitters + sparkling water), which was delicious and refreshing on a warm day. They make their drinks from scratch for real - we watched our bartender juice the grapefruit for my paloma! The views from bartaco are great - you can look out the Wharf, the water, the boats, the people walking by. And the service was very friendly and fast. It's just a really nice spot for a meal or a drink with a view in the Wharf!

I love that you can order individual tacos so that way you can try the different types without having to order a whole bunch. I tried the chicken and the duck and they are both really good. So good I ordered a 3 duck taco. They have a different style when it comes to the chips and salsa you have to break a big tortilla. The salsa is free refills but you have to pay for more chips. This should be complementary when you buy food and drinks.

Great margaritas. Very tasty Paloma. And outstanding tacos. We had the Ahi, the pork belly, and the duck tacos. All really unique and outstanding. I'm torn between the duck and the pork belly as my favorite. And the view is lovely. Right along the harbor. Great boat watching and people watching.

The hostess greeted me and asked if I'd ever been to the restaurant before. She directed me to the back counter where I was able to review the menu and place my order. The server at this register was also very nice. I liked the texture of the rice bowls and everything was cooked well. However, the portions for everything were smaller than I expected for the price. Bartaco offers items with mushrooms, falafel, and cauliflower. However I think it would be great if they could offer something with tofu as there is not a protein option for vegans. The chips and guacamole were decent but nothing special. Interesting that the chips come as large pieces instead of as individual chips. I'd maybe stop in again if I was nearby but I'm not sure I'm eager to return.

The Diablo shrimp taco is always flavorful, and the portion sizes are great. Their queso is one of my favorites; It tastes fresh, like real cheese, and pairs perfectly with their chips. Santa Rosa is a sit-down restaurant that also offers takeout. Their setup is unique: you order your food, receive a buzzer, and once it goes off, you pick up your order from the pickup section and bring it back to your table. They stay consistently busy, especially on Taco Tuesdays, but they always deliver a great experience.
