I was booked for a 10pm Miami party boat and no1 was at location. all people at dock and police officers said their not aware of any boat leaving at that time of night and some people said it was a scam and no boats wa leaving. I was very upset due to it was my partners bday and we walked all over the pier and I had on heels so imagine my anger! Only good part was I called Expedia at that moment and waited to speak with the manager and she was very apologetic and refunded my $$$ back. I wish there was an option to give negative stars. Me and my friends did this Groupon while in Miami to have a little fun on the ocean while we were in town and the people were the worst. At first we were told that we were too early to check in. next we were told that we needed wait until mins after our initial reservation then finally were we told they couldn't go anywhere because they needed clearance from the coast guard because there was an issue and some one had called the "police" the whole entire experience was a bust. and i most certainly would not recommend ANYONE DO THIS EVENT. Had the worst experience!!! Booked online just the boat tour. Ended up on the bus + boat tour because they didn't check the ticket loading on bus. I wanted just the hour and half sightseeing boat tour. Ended up on this bus for an hour. Had to get off and get an Uber back to location. As my car parked had a time limit. We were disappointed in our tour experience. We arrived 15 minutes early, the first to arrive. No staff were on site until a minute or so before the scheduled departure time. No signage directed us where to stand. After everyone booked on the tour had been waiting for awhile, a staffer notified everyone that the line formed on the opposite side from where we were standing, and we had to go to the back of the 'line.' All the people who got to sit up top arrived after us. We were seated downstairs, which was not open air. It made the activity less covid-safe for our unvaccinated children. The views weren't nearly as good so it didn't hold the younger kids' attention. And the tour left 20 minutes late. Exploring new cities from the water is one of our favorite vacation activities, but this was disappointing and messed up our agenda (rushed through a subpar tourist trap lunch beforehand to be on time, only to depart late/return late and have less time before our next activity). Even without all those issues, this tour is geared more for adults who are there to drink and party. There is nothing wrong with that, but the dance music is loud, there isn't much tour narration and what there was we couldn't hear well in the lower deck. read more

Even as a local its fun to try something new. I booked a tour at the Bayside Market place. While the Pirate Ship seemed to be a fun idea for someone with kids, I decided to go with the more normal tour. It was a perfect day for a ride out on Biscayne Bay. The tour guide has great personality and really made the tour a lot of fun. The drinks were good and not overpriced and what else is there to do but just enjoy some time on the water. In my experience there is no need to book early online, the staff at the ticket counters seemed great, and just about everyone on the boat purchased the tickets right there. read more

WARNING!!! Do not book a tour with this company. My buddies and I were in Miami for our annual Fella's trip and thought the night party cruise would be great. We arrived at 9PM and NOBODY from Miami Aqua Tours was at the location of departure. The cruise was scheduled to depart at 10pm. I called Expedia and they called the contact numbers for Aqua Tours and NOBODY answered the phone. In fact one of the phone numbers on our reservation for Aqua Tours is disconnected and the other just rings and rings. I stayed on the phone with Expedia and they assured me I would get my money back for I paid using my credit card for four passengers. Here it is a week later and Expedia finally got in touch with a Caroline at Aqua Tours and she is denying the fact that NOBODY was their. DO NOT PATRONIZE Miami Aqua Tours! It's a SCAM! ......and EXPEDIA was no help! Just to make sure I was correct I went back to look at the time stamps on the pictures we took at Hard Rock Cafe. We were eating at 9:40 PM. Where to begin here...we booked tickets for the 10:30 pm tour for a large group, we were around 20 people but everyone paid their own way. The day of the tour we called about 15 times to see if there was a restroom on board and got no answer, anyway, went to check in and the people at the booth made huge mess with our group, he gave us ONE boarding pass for 17 people and the other 3 had already paid and had theirs. While boarding We had a group of 5 or 6 in front of us that were not in our group and the "captain" was screaming bloody murder at them and us too! It was a huge scene and most of the people did not want to continue with the tour, we wanted to get off but couldn't anymore. During the tour the music was ok but the bar offerings sucked, the tour was short since it was delayed by the screaming captain and all of the mess they created. Will NEVER pay a dime for this again. If I want someone screaming at your for their mistakes go ahead and book, if not STAY AWAY!! Save your money and have an extra drink on bayside. read more

Absolutely TERRIBLE. Our tour was supposed to start aka LEAVE on the tour at 12:30. We didn't even start boarding the boat until around 12:45. We then sat on the boat for another 45 minutes waiting for....I have no idea! They didn't say one word to us in explanation about such a long wait. The crew were all just standing around outside the boat talking amongst each other. Just a quick explanation about the wait and it would have made the situation better. When we finally got started, the loudspeakers on the boat weren't working. They resorted to having 2 people on the top level of the boat and 2 on the bottom. Not sure how the 2 on the bottom level were but the people on the top level in the back (my group)were stuck with a kid who clearly had noo idea what he was talking about. The whole time he tried to copy what the other guide was saying, and failed miserably at it. We had no idea what was going on, which defeats the purpose of a tour. They then expected tips at the end, which we refused to do. An absolute waste of $50. Would have given 0 stars if that was an option. read more

We booked the same morning and drove over to find out that if book they a third party u have to do it 12 hrs in adv. To our surprise they made an exception and allowed us to board at 430 pm which was perfect. They were super friendly. They sell water and drinks on board n snacks. They did a raffle which I ended up winning a free cruise for 4 nights but u have to attend a 90 min presentation with another business. We sat there for more than 90 mins hearing about a vacation deal that I have to come a member but we decided that it was not the right time to become members so they gave us the gift we had won but once we got to the hotel that brochure with the certificate # has no phone number to contact this people to book the cruise so in that point if I win a raffle don't bother going to that presentation because u will waste your time if you are not interested in the vacation saving package that u have to pay monthly to receive the discounts. But other than that I definitely recommend the aqua tour. read more

Paid $52 for two people that was scheduled to leave at 12:30pm. Arrived at 12:15. Got on boat 12:45 and didnt set off until a bit after 1:15. 45 minutes late! Boat was overcrowded as it seemed as though we were waiting for another boats worth of passengers to arrive since another group of 50 or so strangers to each other showed up and they crammed us all together. Tour was suppose to be 1 hour and 15 minutes long but was only an hour on the dot. We didnt follow the proposed map of the bay assuming since we left so late and didnt have the time i'm guessing. We even sped past another boat of the same tour type probably bc we were late. Speakers on the boat didnt work and they brought onboard a portable pa system for the tour guide which also didnt work. So more than 3/4 of the boat couldnt hear the guide who seemed to only know the set tour and not prepared to answer questions. One of the staff looked as though they had recently finished smoking a joint before our sad journey who tried to pass along relevant information but instead was corrected by his own passengers multiple times on incorrect facts. Waste of time. Expensive. Unproffesional. This tour ultimately made me sad. Angry that I didnt jump off this disastrous journey before it had begun and demanded a refund. Beautiful ship! I took a tour in early August. The atmosphere of the ship was great, the crew was fun and they had a bar and refreshments on board which was awesome in the August heat. It sailed along the bay showing us the gorgeous Miami skyline and mansions of celebrities along with fun facts about them. The music tracks that were played correlated to which celebrity's mansions we were passing and near the end there was a dance number! So fun. Location was great too, when you get off you can go to some shops or grab dinner. read more

We booked online but when we got there, the guys running the sales counter didn't know anything. They tried to put us on the Pirate ship which was NOT what we paid for. I asked the guy what was the point of having us choose our ship and time on their site if they pick for us which boat they are putting us on. He clearly didn't care. So we ended up on a whack pirate ship that looked like something a 5 year old would enjoy. The whole point of this cruise was to enjoy the sunset. The cruise didn't leave till almost 6pm when the one we originally booked was suppose to leave at 5:30pm. Due to leaving at 6pm, we didn't get to see much sunset because it was behind us. So disappointed. And what made it worse was no one from the sales counter cared how upset I was. Stay away unless you are ready to be disappointed. Such a waste of money. I paid for 5 people to go on this sight-seeing cruise via Groupon since I thought it would be the perfect surprise for my friend and his family visiting for his birthday. The Groupon stated "Reservation required" under " The Fine Print" section however it stated "Reservation required for sunset champagne cruise" under "How to Use This" section. Very confusing since I purchased the sight-seeing cruise, not sunset. I called the two numbers listed to make reservations for TWO DAYS; only got a machine. After I was unable to reach them by phone, I drove to Bayside where they are located on Friday 11/23/12 at 11 am. After paying $6 for parking, I located the stand where I spoke to a man who was in charge of booking the clipper ship style boat. I informed him I called to make reservations for two days since I really wanted to take my guests out on that boat at 2:30 that afternoon. He informed me that the 2:30 was for the glass bottom boat but he could get us on the clipper at 3:30. Perfect, or at least I thought. I asked to make reservations for 3:30 for 5 people. Not necessary he said. I asked to trade the printed Groupons I was holding for tickets. Not necessary again since he will have 5 spots waiting for us. I asked "should we be here about 1/2 hour before sailing?" and he stated "be here at least 10 minutes before sailing. Wow, this just seemed too easy. It was. After driving home and getting ready for this big birthday surprise, I picked up my guests who were staying in Ft. Lauderdale, about 1/2 hour from my home and in the opposite direction of Bayside. I then drove all of us back down to Bayside where I now had to pay $10 for parking. We arrived at the boat 20 minutes early and when we showed up the guy told me "5 people right?" I confirmed and he went and spoke to a man that turned out to be the captain of the boat. He came back to me and said we had to be on "stand by" since they were expecting some tour bus. Now I am pissed but kept my cool. 3:30 came and went and I said to the man, "Seems there is no tour bus so can we go?" which he then stated, "no we have to wait". Now I am about to have a meltdown but kept my cool out of respect to my guests. At 3:45 the man came over to me and said the tour bus WAS CLOSE and we would not be able to go on the trip but we could do a glass bottom boat in an hour. I told him what he could do with all of their boats and we left. I refuse to do business with these people EVER and I do not want them to have one penny of my hard earned money. These people are SCAM ARTISTS looking for a quick buck; they already had my money and therefore could care less about keeping me happy. They focused on a bus full of people which I never saw and refused to let my party on the stupid boat. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THEM and maybe they will learn how to treat their customers. read more
