At first, I had contemplated getting eyelash extension but then realized I didn't want the maintenance and I didn't really like how fake it can look, plus I am a makeup hoarder and I love using my mascaras so I didn't want to let that go! Cue eyelash perm, mine are super straight. The only thing that would keep them curled was waterproof mascara and I loved the look but HATED taking it off. I researched places in Boston that do eyelash perms and it doesn't seem like there's many. After coming on yelp I found Beyond Beaute and read reviews and today I decided to bite the bullet. I called and asked for an appointment and they said that they could do it today which was ecstatic about, I'm impatient and hate waiting for things when I have something in mind that I want to do. They told me on the phone it was $55, so yes, the website is out of date with the prices. I came in and it's in a non-descript building, pretty small, only two rooms, and it's nothing fancy so don't come in thinking you're in some day spa. Rebecca was the person who did my perm and after seeing my eyelashes she agreed they are super straight and it would take me longer than usual to ensure it set right. My appointment was at 1, and I didn't leave until about 2:20. Overall the procedure was painless, I almost fell asleep since I had to keep my eyes closed the whole time. For aftercare, she told me I could wet them and apply makeup as normal, just avoid steam, but I'm being cautious and not letting anything get on my eyelashes for 24 hours. Super happy and will be coming back in a couple of weeks!

To me, this means the practice does not trust women. the doctor also said she "doesn't want an abortion on her conscience." So instead i was prescribed two medications to try that both required prior authorization for coverage. The person who deals with these issues told me there was "no way to get coverage." When i Called CVS Caremark, they said they just needed 2 prior authorizations and an appeal. When I asked the person to Please check their info before calling me, they basically gaslighted me and said they "got the doctor to take time out of her busy schedule to do peer to peer with the doctor on their end." im sorry, but we are all busy. putting that guilt on the patient is so wrong.
