This venue is everything I love about the 305 before gentrification - real people, delicious food, and laid back, fun vibe.

I've been dying to come here for so long and finally made it out to the theater to watch a belly dance showcase that was awesome! The space is so fun in its decor (there are artsy portraits of Mario and a cat in a suit!) and the tables are well laid out so your view is not obstructed no matter where you sit. You can order drinks directly to your table by pressing a button and service is fast. Bathrooms are in the back and reasonably kept, the layout was a little confusing at least in the women's restroom as it seems when you walk in there are only a few stalls but then in the back there are a bunch more. I will also say, their website and social media is not the most helpful. For example, I was unclear if food is served in the theater and found no info online and no one to call. So we played it safe and ate before. However, they do serve food after all - a variety of Latin fare like arepas and ceviche. So sad we got full before the show and didn't get to try any good. But all in all, I had a great time at the theater and definitely look forward to seeing another show here!

I had no idea what to expect and I don't want to give too much away. Just know this... -Do not bring the kids, no matter how "Mature" you think they are. -Bring comfortable shoes; you will be dancing the night away for about 3 hours. You can buy VIP tickets and just like at a regular club you can sit in the VIP section. -If you want to drink, drink before you get there. $18.00 for a drink... umm... NO. -Do not bring a medium to large purse ladies; otherwise you will have to check it in. Anyway, you can't dance the night away with a giant purse. -Take a camera; they totally let you take pictures with no problem. -Dress up. Like I said I didn't know what to expect. If I could do it again I would've totally dressed up. -Have Fun... It is a very interactive show, INTERACT!!!! A great time was had by all; I hope this show travels to other cities.

Many patrons at The Donkey Show were dressed to the nines in their 70s gear, to match the theme of the show. There was so much polyester you'd think it was Halloween in Alabama. Please, nobody light a cigarette... Inside, it's more club than theatre. Dance floor tickets grant you a pass to experience the club from the middle of all the action, but be prepared to stand, and dance, the entire time. The music is awesome, the sound system blaring, and the lights are a show of their own. Bring cash or credit for drinks and remember, this is a take on Studio 54. There's no shortage of references to drugs, sex, and disco music so leave the kiddies at home. VIP is a good choice for older guests who may want to sit down at certain points throughout the show. Waitresses will serve you drinks and food from the bar. The show is envelopes the entire performance space, so you don't miss anything when you're raised up off the main dance floor in VIP. The performance itself is multidisciplinary wonder of song and dance, with a pinch of theatre and splash of acrobatics thrown in for fun. The cast did an amazing job and encouraged participation from the audience members. The vibe and energy throughout the show were stellar! Right on, man. Tips for enjoyment: Get there early, dress the part, bring an open mind, and attend the late show. I plan to go back before the show's residency ends in September; it's a far superior experience to regular clubbing in Miami!

First of all....someone call Jon Taffer because i seriously felt like I was on bar rescue!!!…read more I am sincerely sad I missed this place in its prime! I went for the first time today and there were literally 10 out of the 26 places open. The third floor is completely closed down which is understandable if the idea is to move all the current vendors up to the third floor and create a sports bar on the main floor which is what I was told by one of the last standing vendors...and I hope this is true because otherwise it's a sign that the doors will be closing soon because they simply cannot maintain with 3 floors and only 10 working vendors. We walked in, kind of in shock because the place was completely empty. There were approximately 4-6 customers eating at 2 spots, the main bar was open but all employees were on their phones waiting for business. We nervously circled the main floor then headed up to the second floor to see if anything caught our eye... the Fookem's Fabulous - Pie Vending Machine was empty and shut down...so sad I wanted to try it..so then we headed back down to the first floor where we stopped to ponder..what's the food quality like if they aren't moving products because there are literally no people buying... but bravely continuing on, we stopped at Chicken Bras and got 2 chicken empanadas for $9 they were fried fresh but a little salty in my opinion and then to B&D's Texas Bbq. We tried the platter that comes with 3 meats- Brisket, smoked turkey, and pork ribs, 2sides - Mac and cheese and potato salad and we did an add on of 1 piece of cornbread, and 2 drinks $68 all in.. everything was mid.. not great, not bad..(except the potato salad may have been old, it was a little sus) The main dining area has high top tables but all the fabric seats are old, stained, and the foot bars are busted.. the dining upstairs has low tables but the seats had crumbs and questionable residue. Would I return? Absolutely the heck not. This place had its day and now food halls are just a thing of the past I guess unless Jon Taffer can come up with a kitschy concept to bring it back to life...
