During a course, I was pregnant and experiencing a medical condition that was properly communicated to the professor, yet I was denied the opportunity to take an exam or receive any reasonable alternative. This decision negatively affected my academic progress and created unnecessary stress. The lack of flexibility, communication, and student advocacy is concerning. Institutions of higher education should ensure fair treatment, especially in situations involving protected conditions such as pregnancy. I hope the university reviews its policies and improves how it supports students facing medical challenges. Profesor name Karell Curbelo

I am grateful to the University for all they've done and continue to do. I understand everyone has had their experiences, but mine is my own so it's all I can speak to. The location is easy to find, as driving past it is a landmark on the north bound palmetto expressway. There are different places to park at this campus and I see it growing at a good pace. I was able to get my required documentation squared away fast quick and in a hurry. I value my time and I'm glad they valued it as well. Note: you'll need a parking decal if you're going to park there so don't rest on your laurels when it comes to that.

The reality is, they will do everything in their power to dismiss you especially if you're outspoken, advocate for yourself, or simply refuse to be silent. Speaking up for yourself? Trust me, they'll find a way to push you out. Talking to the director? Doesn't matter--they don't care. It's all about tuition dollars. They set students up to fail. Concerns aren't addressed, they're brushed aside. The entire system feels designed to profit off students instead of genuinely educating them. Bottom line: this school is not invested in your success it's invested in your wallet.

We pay tens of thousands to attend a school that is lacking in sufficient equipment. Don't let them fool you, the school only consists of 2 floors in the entire office building. With very little study spaces compared to the other campuses. Additionally the "simulation labs" are quite lacking. The arms for IV insertions are falling apart and some are unusable. There are only 3 IV pumps that must be spread out through both floors. Attending open lab is a joke since there isn't enough equipment available. Many things broken or used way past their prime. WHERE is our money going? To add insult to injury, the "student events" we receive are a total joke. For Example, Los Angeles campus received a holiday party that was catered with a Crepe station with many toppings and food to choose from. Our school, where we pay the SAME amount, received cookies to "decorate" but NOT eat because the expiration date on the cookie box was 2020!!!! Are you joking? We pay 100k+ and you can't afford some non expired cookies? Our food option was one box of Walmart cookies that were old and stale. It was an absolute joke and just insulting considering there are people going into debt just to be here. DO BETTER !

Don't that speech with her, you will regret! Talk to Magaly, the best advisor ever, and tell her you just don't want her! I ended with B, gladly qnd with a lot of effort, but not because she explained anything but because i had to do all the job, technically i paid for this class to do all the job fir a teacher write on my BLACKBOARD that I should make clear that my questions weren't on any place, otherwise she will send us back to the book, what kind of teacher is she? She is supposed to make our minds clear if we don't understand, wherever the information might be she should be happy to help us, like professor Villasuso (the best ever) Finally, if you go to her videos you will see how prepotent she is and how derogatory she is towards the student! Not a good teacher at all, worst experience ever! If anyone else had similar experiences (which is most probably) i ask for you to share it, so you can avoid someone else this awfull experience in such a great university! So sad because of her working here!

However, I…read morehave worked with them in various projects that have required their consultation in the past, which is why I am here today writing this review. First of all, I cannot stand individuals that leave crappy reviews because they're disgruntled or were fired, have this crazy expectations of a place/service/institution. So when I saw this "ex student's" review, I couldn't help but note the obvious: Is this really someone with the credibility to put down an institution running for over 30 years. An institution that has helped thousands of Hispanic Americans and Non-hispanic Americans take the next step into their lives.. improve their lives? With all due respect, "luli l", before you go bash on an educational institution, I suggest you use spell check. I have personally seen the dedication and commitment Mrs Reguerio has on improving their teaching methodologies, on opening new avenues for students to explore. Just recently FNU launched their athletic department! Students don't know this, but this costs hundreds of thousands to launch and keep up with. Why does FNU do this? Because they want to make their student's experience the college experience they want, something they can forever remember in addition from academia. I have given FNU 5 stars because I have not only worked with their team, but worked with their students. They're harnessing the mind of some brilliant individuals. So rather than basing your decision upon this not so eloquent individual, I suggest you go find out for yourself. -Jose

Everone on campus was warm and helpful. The security gaurd took the time to direct me to the building I needed across campus. I decided to walk instead of moving my car and I'm glad that I did. I enjoyed following the sidewalks to the large open courtyard where the chapel, admissions, and other buildings are located. It seems that Barry does not have that great of a ranking. I'm not sure why that is. If someone were looking for a small campus with low student population, Barry would be a good choice. I was just here to drop something off but would come back to attend an event as the campus is lovely.

I currently in the Florida National Guard, which has been the means as to how I pay for my education at Barry. While attending I have endured a lot of hardships due to my service in the armed forces, I wouldn't necessarily call them military friendly. If you are prior service or still currently serving, I would recommend going to a larger institution in university with a stronger VA in my personal experience. The person in charge of the VA at Barry only works remotely and is never in person and also works with multiple branches so if you need specific help for your branch it's difficult. I have been told that every student has to be treated the same regardless of military status although my military status has been the reason I have been able to afford Barry and I have communicated properly no accommodations or ever been made. In addition, the dormitories tend to be very humid, which causes mold growth making me sick before. When brining this concern this to housing I was just told to get a dehumidifier . For such an expensive and prestigious school I would expect the quality to be better. If your expectations is to get your money's worth, their university will not meet them.

What makes the experience especially unique is the architectural diversity. The blend of Art Deco influences, Brutalist structures, and modern design elements creates a refreshing visual rhythm throughout the campus. Each building feels intentionally placed, elegantly portrayed, and connected to its surroundings, allowing nature to become part of the design rather than simply a backdrop. A highlight of the visit is the Lowe Art Museum, which encompasses a thoughtfully curated selection of both modern and historical works. The collection feels balanced and accessible, allowing visitors to move naturally between different artistic periods and styles while maintaining a cohesive narrative. The best way to experience the University of Miami and the Lowe Art Museum is by walking the grounds on a fresh Miami day. Easy access from the Metro Rail UM station... The result is an inspiring setting where academic life and aesthetic beauty coexist effortlessly, encouraging visitors to slow down and truly appreciate the space.

After the land boom bust the college struggled but it experienced significant growth after WWII. Their football program boosted them to national prominence leading to academic expansion. and they celebrated their 100 year anniversary last year. I have visited the Lowe's Art Museum on campus and the Gifford Arboretum in the past and most recently I came for the Beaux arts Festival now in it's 75th year.
