I have three American bulldogs, and if you know anything about American bulldogs they are huge! I was having a serious problem with them fighting and not getting along, so I went to several places, and called different trainers, but sadly I had no results. two months ago, I contacted The Miami Dog Whisperer because my friend spoke very highly of him and his staff. She had a dog that was blind and Richard helped her train him and he also helped her with other rescues she had in the past. She said he is a true dog lover and honest person, so we called. Then she made an appointment with me to come out and meet my family and the dogs. She was great and my husband and I felt hopeful for the fist time because this was our last chance, or we would have to send the dogs to the shelter (which I did not want to do, because I love our dogs) Richard Heinz was our trainer, and from the moment he stepped in our home, I felt a huge difference in our dogs. He was the Alpha, It was extremely apparent, and my dogs just sat and looked at him. My husband and I were shocked. He came over with another trainer, who was filming our class, which we agreed to do. Richard went over different options and training methods we could use for our particular problem. He answered all our questions and we fell in love with his confidence. Sure enough, we followed his advice and saw results immediately. I was blown away by how quickly he was able to succeed where others had tried and failed in the past. So, here we are two months later, and we just had our last class with Richard. Amazing results, and we were frankly sad to see him go, every Saturday we got used to having him come and work with our dogs. They were also very good about accommodating our crazy schedule and occasionally Richard gave us two classes in one week if we needed a little extra help. It was very convenient since it all was done in our home. The dogs are great, they don't fight any longer, and my husband and I are now in-charge of them, and not the other way around. I had the opportunity to meet other clients of The Miami Dog Whisperer, and everyone I spoke with was thrilled with their program and their results. I can't say enough good things, he saved my dog's lives!!!! That being said, Richard doesn't come cheap, although there are different programs, for different budgets, it was a bit more than any pet store training, but so well worth it. We frankly would have paid triple what we paid to get the results we did. I've been a dog trainer for about 3 years now, mostly self taught and when I came across Cesar Millan I studied his philosophy and know his stuff like the back of my hand. In my early days I spent a lot of time on YouTube watching videos and pulling what I could from them. One day upon watching a Dog Whisperer video I saw a related video with Miami Dog Whisperer training tip in the title. I clicked it, watched it and immediately went on to watch the rest of his videos taking what I could from them. I was blown away. I am the owner of a deaf Bull Terrier and me and my girlfriend starting having behavioral issues with him since he was 4 months old. In addition, our little boy has had a very rough 1.5 years, he has undergone 4 surgeries caused by hip displasia and one due to a dog attack which scared him. Our dog went from being a happy puppy to being terrified of every dog and even attacking us due to his fear amongst other things. In August 2013, my husband and I rescued a miniature schnauzer mix. He was a great dog, but had severe separation anxiety. Whenever we left him alone, he would bark for hours and when we came back he would be beside himself filled with anxiety. We had never had a rescue dog. Instead we had Scottish terriers whom we raised from puppies on; consequently, we had never encountered such a problem. In the past, we had taken our dogs to Petsmart to train them, but we knew this type of problem could not be solved by general training. Therefore, we thoroughly researched on line for a dog trainer and we chose Dog Force One. We can't say enough about the excellent training we received!! I Highly recommend The Miami Dog Whisperer! I was desperate to find someone and something to actually HELP my 5 year old Australian Cattle Dog with his issues of aggression toward other dogs and children. I got him from a rescue 3 years ago and within that time have spent a couple thousand dollars and have been through 4 different trainers with no real improvement in regard to his behavioral issues. As we will be starting a family we knew we were headed toward the decision of finding a new home for him if we could not trust him around our Children :( I went on a mission to find a trainer with a DIFFERENT philosophy then the shared and similar philosophies of the trainers we had tried in the past. I have a 3 year old golden that I adopted a few months ago with anxiety issues. I heard about this amazing trainer, The Miami Dog Whisperer, from a good friend who has used him for years and had great results. So I called and made an appointment with Stacy for a free evaluation. She was very professional and came over the next day. I really loved the program she described and wanted to sign up right away. Price was a bit more than a pet store, but not too high, and I have gotten such great referrals from my friend, that I wanted to pay and start training right away. Well, to my very deep disappointment the trainer I wanted, Richard Heinz, was NOT available right away, and I had to go on a waiting list. So I'm willing to wait for him, and don't want anyone else , Stacy promised to get me in within a week, but I'm terribly upset because I wanted to start TODAY! She did offer a nice discount since I have to wait for an opening on Richard's schedule, which was nice, but my dog has urgent anxiety issues, and I'm not happy to have to wait! PS. My wife works in animal rescue and we wound up with a pack of five dogs (now six!) that were all "free spirits" to say the least and I reached the point where I thought maybe a divorce was my only solution. I sought training here for my American Bulldog- he had become extremely agressive around his food and his bones, to the point where no one could even look at him when he was eating, yet alone try to take away his bone without getting bit. I had spent a great deal of money and time on several different trainers before and it seems that the problem only got worse. This was my very last resort, and in only two weeks time, my dog has made more improvements then I could ever imagine. His progress is amazing, he has shown no agression at home since he started his training here. Richard and his staff of trainers have been nothing but helpful. My 3 year old St. Bernard went to the Miami Dog Whisperer for aggression training, their "specialty". He died on the 3rd day in their care before training was to start. They did not notify us until the next day that he had passed. We do not know why he died! He was a healthy 3 year old to the best of our knowledge. Then when they finally had a secretary call... they tell us he was cremated. They never informed us he was even sick or an emergency had occurred. The Miami Dog Whisperer authorized cremation of our beloved St. Bernard. We never got a chance to say good-bye, let alone find out what happened!! read more
