Welp...I once visited this place in 2014 and at that time, was pleased. I've now returned, only to be disgusted by the owners actions and the newer information I came to find out. The staff is mostly different now, than the last time I was there. The last time I was there, I was helped greatly by the operations manager who was also a gunsmith and used to be a cop. The guy was incredibly knowledgable, friendly and very customer service and safety oriented. He is not there anymore, and his absence in management and leadership is pretty obvious. For one, the owner is one disgusting man. I overheard him talking with someone else, and he was making sexual comments about one of my friends and myself which I found to be so out of line and inappropriate. Secondly, as we got ready to shoot, another customer pulled me aside, and told me about a customer of that range who was shot and killed the day before valentines day, by another customer on the range. Apparently the owner thought he didn't need to have a qualified range safety officer and because of that and lax safety rules in place, they got some guy called Daniel shot in the head. I really didn't believe the guy that was telling me this, but then he showed me photos on his phone which showed the range floor all covered in blood from where the guy was killed. He also told me the owner Frank lied to the police and hid the video of the shooting. That right there tells me all I need to know about what kind of person he is. Needless to say, I told my friend I wasn't going to shoot there, and we simply left without even checking out. Didn't ask for a refund, we just left. I don't think I want to give any more business to an owner who had such little regard for the lives of his customers and got one of his customers killed. I came here to shoot and initially I was nervous, as a beginner, but Andre was so helpful and explained the entire process to me. He showed me the gun I was using in detail and showed me how to use it. By the end of my session I shot a bullseye and I was so excited. The day Hurricane irma was on her way we needed some last minute 9mm bullets and they had some in stock. I had tried a few other places and they were closed. Rude staff and owners. the range itself is filthy and HOT. they really need to do something about that heat. overall the worst experience i have had over dozens of other ranges have been to. The staff had this weird vibe as if they were doing a favor for me by having me as their customer. They are super lazy, i had to wait and ask several times before i could pay for my range fee and ammo? they are way out there with their mind set considering they have one of the dirtiest, really uncomfortable range. Frankly it is not a safe range either. This was first and last visit to this awkward range. there are so many other ranges close by willing to tread you with respect as a paying customer deserves. unless you want to combine a sauna experience with some terrible range time while dealing with staff who dont know the definition of customer service, i strongly advice avoiding it as plague. read more

Horrible experience! It was our first time shooting and we were told we were going to get 15 minutes of instruction which we thought would be inside the range. Instead, we got a two minute explanation at the counter with a guy that was very cocky and we proceeded into the range not knowing what we were doing at first we were putting the bullets in backwards and if we had not figured it out we might have hurt someone or ourselves. After we finished our rounds, we went back outside to the guy at the counter who said "if you write a good review we will give you free range time" so, all these people that are making great reviews are doing so just because they're looking for a free ride! It's a total scam, the place is dirty the people are very quick to put you through the door to the range not knowing what you're doing. read more

What can I say? The place is totally how it looks. A run down shop in the shady parts of the town. Went inside to use my groupon to find employee having no idea what to do with the groupon. Fantastic management right?? Told us we have to wait 30 minutes for an instructor. What? Did i not just wait 30 minutes im line to get to you? Only to watch you ask for help from above on how to deal with groupon? So while waiting I wanted to see if I can cancel my groupon, I guess the other employee finally got worried. Told me yea he can do the 15 minute lesson but anything more ( holding my hand through it) is extra. Boy keep your grimmy hands to yourself and look at your math. Your 15 minute instruction was only 6 minutes long and barely enough time for you to flex your muscles to the other lady customers. I cancelled my groupon. Now if I can keep my stomach from feeling nauseous then I consider my day a good day. If you are looking for detailed instructions for first time handling gun, customer service, and knowledgable employees. Hurry and find another place. read more

I was probably one of the first customers to walk through the doors at this range a few years back. Honestly I haven't been by there in a while. I was shocked when I was informed that I couldn't use my own ammo. that had to use their frangible reloads which I don't care what anyone says I don't put anyone's reloads down one of my barrels. Then they offered to swap out my expensive 100rd box for a 50rd box of their crap. Yeah that's like calling me a idiot to my face and for sure I will not be coming back to this place ever again even though the last owner was a pretty scummy person in the gun world even he didn't try running a scam like this. read more

Great place with reasonable prices and great staff! not sure where all these people get any other idea.. i was there a couple of times and was treated like an old friend that has been coming for years! Guys were very cool and helpful, always getting me setup quickly so i can have my fun. Range is pretty good and they keep it clean. I was there for one hour and they were gathering the bullet shells at least twice in that time. I brought my own ammo and they even gave me more targets than i paid for. Place is well ventilated so when i got out i was just happy and stress free with a big smile on my face :D Would recommend this place to anyone and definitely my place of choice for shooting. read more

I would not recommend this store/range. I visited the range recently and here are some flags I noted: My firearm was not checked prior to entering the range. When I asked them if they would check it, I was told not to concern myself over it. The store/range associates who checked us into the range were not professional and poor in service (I.e. speaking vulgarities, expressed disinterest in our presence, tossing credit card towards me after paying - same with receipts to sign). There were no range safety officers on the range at all. Poor professionalism and service upon leaving as well (I.e. was glared at when asked question concerning where to leave ear muffs - no answer was ever given) read more

The GroupOn lured us in, and don't regret it for a second. The staff was friendly and courteous. The establishment was well cooled and clean. The other patrons were equally as friendly. Its a family establishment, both those who run it and the customers. I saw a number of fathers with their sons & daughters. Miami Guns is a small shop but the owner, Frank, really goes out of his way to make you feel at home. He has good deals on firearms although the ammo and the targets seem pricey. He'll order items if he doesn't have them in stock and call you when they arrive. Ray is also very knowledgeable and friendly and willing to help both beginners and experts. The range gets a little messy when it's busy with shells scattered all over and the garbage cans full. There is also one employee that can't be bothered to take his nose out of his phone the last two times I've been in the shop. He's too busy texting and looking at pictures to be of any help and largely ignores the customers. I'm pretty sure you could take the Glock off his hip and he would never know it was gone. Those minor complaints don't outshadow Frank and Ray and I do plan to go back soon. read more

EXTREMELY unprofessional people. Left my gun to get cleaned there and they told me the gun would be ready by the afternoon and they would disassemble the whole gun. Well turns out when I got there the gun hadn't even been touched. Told me to go back later that he didn't know he had to clean it. When I came back he was cleaning it but a very basic cleaning that I could do at home. Mentioned to him that i needed the whole gun taken apart and he was extremely unprofessional about his response. Convinced him to do it. Told me the gun would be ready next day. I left it the entire day there and didn't go back till the the following day after he told me it would be ready. Gun was still not touched. I had to go back for a 4th time to get the gun. AND then on top of all that before I take the gun hunting I like to check everything when I took the barrel out he had left the barrel dirty and without a drop of oil. read more
