Nice little park outside of Milford, Ohio in Day Heights. They have a nice little skate park, soccer fields, baseball fields, football fields and a 1.3 mile track that circles a small lake on the North side. They also "catch and release" and stock the lake yearly. It's a great place to take your pet for a walk, or to get in some cardio if needed. They have a small dog park, but some of the dogs in the park are questionable. My dog can be feisty, but un-neutered pitpull mixes aren't favorable. I'd skip the dog park and just take them for a 1.3 mile walk and get some good cardio yourself!

By getting to Miami Meadows Park before all the MidSummer at the Meadow action started on Saturday, I had a chance to get a good look at the park. It is a 200-acre park way out in Milford/Miami Township in Clermont County, and it is very unique. Near the entrance they have two newly paved basketball courts (or so it looks) and a skate park great for bikers and skateboarders. They were blocked off this weekend for the festival (as you can see in the photos posted), but I imagine they are usually popular places. They also have a nice play area nearby one of their two shelters, which has restrooms and a concession stand. They also have a football field and two soccer fields, as well as four large baseball fields with high outfield fences (maybe 10 feet) and a large walking path. Since the park is so big, I didn't even see it all while at this weekend's festival, and it turns out they also have another picnic shelter, a lake which is open to fishing on a "catch and release" policy, and even a thing called the Bark Park on the other side of the park. The Bark Park is a great place to let your dogs run loose without their leashes, and it features two fenced-in areas (one for large dogs, the other for small dongs) where dogs can "run free" or sip from the "special dog water fountain," as well as plenty of shaded areas, according to the park's website. I was impressed with this Miami Township Park, and that was before I found out about its lake and Bark Park. The facilities are nice and new, dating back to just 1999, and it is a really neat place.

The only things I would say is the courts are a bit sloped more than other places. If you like heavy grit, the court paint will make your foot stick well. Unless you are comimg for the basketball courts and football field keep driving back. There are places to park near the soccer fields, baseball fields, playground and near the lake. The lake is small, yet a nice touch. Made to look at, and fish from. It's too small for boating. There is a gazebo, benches and a porch swing to relax, and enjoy the view. A peninsula juts out with picnic tables and grills. It appears to be a popular place to fish from. Fishing here is catch and release only. Improvements are happening near the lake. The multi- use trail is level and wide. It connects all the areas of the park. Topography at the park makes for an interesting walk/ride. There is everything from sunny wide open sports fields, to areas that are more wooded. Particularly near the lake. Wild blackberries (I think,) were growing in numberous locations. Several picnic shelters and benches are available throughout the park. Some of these have grills. Signs posted that no demestic animals are allowed in the park. The park is very clean.
