We're soooo happy we discovered Miami Squeeze while on vacay in Miami!! Our entire family of 4 is vegan and we try to eat clean as much as possible. Although there's always something new to try, I can't get enough of my favorite "Honey Crunch" which is made with granola, almond milk, honey, peanut butter, and banana. I often pair that with their teriyaki salmon salad. The salmon chunks are fried, tossed in teriyaki sauce, and served over a bed of greens and it's so delicious! The atmosphere is also great. The space is bright, open, and welcoming. The staff is friendly and if you choose to dine in, they're always happy to serve you and make recommendations. All of the ingredients are fresh and the drinks are made to order. Trust me, you can taste the difference between a drink made with fresh ingredients and one made with concentrate. However, this past weekend I became highly disappointed in the quality of food that was served. I had the Mediterranean platter which consist of hummus, eggs, and falafel. I was down this way for work and a local suggested it as a good spot for a healthy lunch. Outside dining only with a counter and tables. Not bad during the cooler months. They have a wide variety of choices sich as snoothies, juices, salads, sandwiches, and wraps. I had the vegetarian plate ($12) with salad, stuffed grape leaves, falafel, hummus, and pita. I can't believe I forgot to review this spot for so long! The vibes are so great here. You forget you're on busy Dixie Highway. You feel transported - like you're in an island oasis! First time here, yesterday! Ordered online, saw curbside pickup advertised and as my mother is ill and recovering it sounded great, from the food to the reviews. I called to check if the order was ready. A man answered and then John came to the phone to assist him, his coworker informed me over the phone the order was ready and he'd bring it right out. (Parked right in front of the restaurant) John who is the manager then flagged my mother as in to come in to get her food. Once the food was brought to the car, my mother asked if she could please have ketchup, John huffed, puffed and sighed. I wasn't sure if he was auditioning for the character the big bad wolf but he definitely played the part. John was outrageously rude. As someone who has worked in the food industry for many years never have I flagged down a customer no matter the situation. As if we were in his way. It's the same rudeness as a customer snapping at you to get attention. Unacceptable and unforgettable. John also said they only do curbside pickup for "disabled people." (Might wanna update this on Google, either way my mother fit the bill) He certainly made an ASSumption of himself. Disability has a "look" now hmm? Yikes. My mother had a piece of her intestines cut out recently and I guess she didn't look "disabled" ENOUGH to the manager, John. I got out of the car, (dressed in the a big hoodie and sweats due to receiving a skin treatment that advises I need to stay away from the sun/UV rays for 2 weeks) and briefly spoke to John about his appalling behavior. Liza is the owner as I was told by John but she was not present at the moment. Liza please retrain your manager especially. What exactly does "disability" look like? Highly undereducated. Imagine paying and tipping ahead of time for this?! Definitely won't be returning. Not worth the treatment. Do better. Located right off Dixie Hwy, on the border of North Miami and Aventura area. And parking is not the best, but there's extra parking on the shops located right next door. Just be quick about it if you're just picking up. I've never tried the food, but every time we're waiting for our juice, we see the food orders coming out of the kitchen and they look and smell awesome!! They even got a vegan menu for all you clean eaters! Along with a regular menu as well. They pride themselves on serving fresh ingredients and it shows! It's not a small menu either! This is not a just a juice spot! They're juices are bomb too! Try the "clean out", it's my favorite. It's got Apples, ginger, carrots and beets! It's got a bit of a spice to it but it won't disappoint. If you like your juice extra cold ask them for a cup of ice on the side! Prices here are fair, and the service is really good. FROM THE BEST TO THE WORST! UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT BEWARE! I am so saddened to have experienced what I experienced yesterday and then to read that the exact same behavior has happened to other long time customers! Here is how it went: 12:25 PM: I called to order the same custom juice I've been getting there for years during my bike ride. I haven't been there in a while due to COVID. I asked the girl who answered the phone if they were all wearing masks and she said yes. So I ordered my juice and she said they now charge for extra ingredients after 3. I asked if they were under new management and she said yes. I asked if they were busy right now and she said "no, and that my drink would be ready in 10 minutes." So I hurried there from Greynolds Park. 12:35 PM: I arrived to find the place so crowded that cars were lined up farther down the street than I've ever seen before and a crowd of customers were standing out front; most not wearing masks on a windy day! Since there were so many people and I didn't want to crowd next to them due to COVID (I was wearing a mask and goggles) I called to ask if my juice was ready and spoke to a boy who said they were very busy and it would be 10-15 minutes longer. I laughingly said the girl I spoke to previously said it wasn't busy and I watched him hang up on me before I finished my sentence. I don't think he knew I was standing right in front of him. While I am waiting for my drink I notice that the staff has their masks under their chins and not actually on their faces. I understand it is very hot out, but I'm starting to second guess my choice to have a juice here and I'm getting nervous about all the customers who are not wearing masks while I am downwind of them on a very windy day. I, unfortunately have asthma and other conditions which require me to be cautious with my life and health, so after a couple of minutes I decided to call again. 12:38 PM: A girl answered and I asked her if they started making my juice yet. She took a moment to check and said "NO." So I asked her to please cancel it. She said okay and apologized. I got back on my bike and started riding home. 12:50 PM: The same boy I spoke to earlier (John) called me and said my juice was ready. I explained I had called to cancel it and he said "no I didn't!" He then complained I ordered a custom juice and they would have to throw it away. I said I was already halfway home and the people making the juice were not wearing masks like I was told they were, and he hung up on me before I could finish my sentence. I thought maybe he couldn't hear me so I called back to assure him that I had called and canceled my order before leaving and he hung up on me again! Now I'm in disbelief! So I called back and asked John to talk to a manager. Another boy got on the phone and asked what the problem was and within a couple seconds of my explanation HE HUNG UP ON ME! I think his name was Oren? Now I'm mad. Mostly that one of my favorite places is treating me like this! I called back again and spoke to John and said I wanted to speak to the manager again and he said HE was the manager, and hung up on me. One more time: I called again and John answered and I wanted to let him know that I canceled my order and he said "the girl I spoke to was wrong when she said they hadn't made my drink and I shouldn't cancel my orders" and guess what happened next? HE HUNG UP ON ME! Hilarious, right? Obviously these childish "managers" don't care how they treat customers and from other reviews I've read here, the new ownership doesn't care to reprimand them either. Now I will find another place to go to get my juice. So sad to lose one of my favorite places but I will not support this type of bad behavior. Who knows how many germs would have been in my drink anyway? I think all this unprofessional chilidish nonsense protected me from most likely getting sick since they were not taking precautions to avoid spreading the virus to their patrons. When in the area, I always stop by to get a veggie juice, if not a fresh bite to eat. My favorite are the wraps and juices. I feel healthier when I grab one on the go :) The falafel is really yummy. It is fast and efficient depending on the time of day you visit, and consistent. Lunch hour can be very busy..It is outdoor seating, so it can be quite hot and sweaty in summer, but they have shade umbrellas and fans always ripping. The staff is always nice and quick with your order, depending on the amount of patrons. They have diner seating, as well as a shaded area with tables. Lunch can get crowded even though it is an outdoor restaurant, (good sign) and when it rains in summer, like it does in Miami, you can find cover. Parking can be tricky on a busy road that sits close to the train tracks, and you have to be careful pulling in and leaving. There is parking behind the establishment as well (limited and be careful). I recommend.
