He has done an outstanding job teaching him not only the mechanics of playing the Bass but also music theory as well.

My 3 year old Son loves Miss Jane's music classes. She is very attentive, energetic and organized…read more Each class (at the preschool level) is similar to the previous week's but not identical. There is a nice mix of gross motor movement, musical instruments, listening practice, singing and fun! She keeps it fresh and varies the instruction based on which students are in attendance and the individual abilities. Miss Jane also does a wonderful job of handling of task behavior and redirecting students as needed, which I appreciate, so poorly behaved students don't hijack the class experience for everyone else. My child really enjoys going each week. Her classes start on time and end of time! Come with socks and prepare to participate.

A horror story involving my 3 year old daughter:…read more "Miss Jane certainly demonstrated (even if this is an isolated occurrence) that she is capable losing her temper and create an atmosphere I feel is unhealthy for young children" I was just informed that during one of Miss Jane's classes that my 3 year old daughter had bumped into another toddler going for the same instrument. The 2nd girl's father, who was present, dismissed this as two toddlers bumping into each other. Miss Jane, however, did not... She proceeded to yell and lecture my 3 year old daughter, persistently demanding that she apologize, which scared my daughter. And because my 3 year old was too scared to respond or apologize due to Miss Jane's behavior (she has no problem saying sorry at home)... Miss Jane proceeded to tell my daughter that she is "wasting her time" and even kicked her out of class and slammed the door, nearly hitting my daughter with the door in the process. While one would expect empathy and understanding from someone who teaches music to toddlers... what we have experienced is Fear and Shaming - not something I think anyone wishes to instill on their child. While we all have bad days... Miss Jane certainly demonstrated (even if this is an isolated occurrence) that she is capable losing her temper and create an atmosphere I feel is unhealthy, mean-spirited, and certainly not the kind of behavior I would like my 3 year old daughter to imitate. We will be looking elsewhere to inspire my daughter's love for music - and would recommend you do the same.

I learned so much in every single class I took. In university at USF I took a semester of ballet and the teacher complimented my technique as being the best one in the class, all thanks to the wonderful education I received at academy of arts. Now in 2025 my 3 year old daughter is taking classes and is enjoying every class. My mother, daughter and I recently went to the Christmas show and we were so proud to experience the show. It was such a great show, still professional and beautiful. 13 years later and Academy of Arts is still producing wonderful dancers. I highly recommend this studio to all dancers and artists who are eager to learn and perfect their craft.

This is a full dance school that offers: Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Pas De Deux, Lyrical, Tap, Hip-Hop, Flamenco, Modern Dance, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, Drama, Piano, Guitar, Violin, and Voice. The faculty is certified and have led professional careers in their respective areas of creative expertise. They begin laying a foundation from the preschool years all the way to young adulthood. And they have both female and male students. They also offer an AfterSchool program and work your child's classes at a mutually suitable schedule. The cost of the classes is comparable to other dance academies. I have enjoyed closely watching the development in my niece, as well as in many of her close friends. I also look forward to their professionally-mounted recitals every year.

There is so much to say about Oscar as a unique artist, a devoted teacher, a master voice…read more"builder", and a kind person, but this space is not enough for me to write everything so I will focus on him as a voice teacher. I started voice lessons with him not as the typical high school graduate looking to build a professional career in the field of opera but as a medical professional who only wanted to sing classical music well. After a few years of training with him I ended up being accepted in a local conservatory with a scholarship grant in a college program, major in music and vocal performance. I loved singing all my life that I was willing to do what it took to achieve the "excellence" I always dreamed of. My path was far from easy as I had to work the night shift in order to attend school during the day. I also had my share of vocal faults due to fatigue and stress from a demanding schedule. Oscar helped me through all these difficulties and never gave up on me. He probably saw how much I loved singing...not just singing, but excellent singing. After a few years of studies at the conservatory I had to move overseas and despite the major disruption from my move I continued to sing at every opportunity I was given. I still live abroad but every time I return to the US I take lessons from Oscar to make sure my voice stays on the right track. Looking back to the past few years, I believe I have come a long way. I have done solo concerts both in the US and abroad and continue to receive invitations to perform on stage. Miracles can happen... that, I believe. I am grateful for not only the strong foundation Oscar has built in my singing voice but also for the inspiration he always evokes.
