I noticed them while driving and decided to stop and get an estimate, one of three I was planning on obtaining. I have an older vehicle in great shape that has sentimental value to me as it's my beloved sister's last vehicle before she passed away several years ago. I noticed a rough spot by the lower back tail gate and a tiny rusty area near the back wheel fender. I'm proactive about everything and addressed the problem long before it turned into something major. The owner of Calumet Body Shop was very easy to talk to as I felt quite comfortable and good about him. Trust matters. The price was quite fair that I didn't bother to investigate other auto body places. The end result was a work of perfection, quality and customer satisfaction. The paint matched perfectly. Poor customer service, lack of communication, and overall bad experience. We needed to follow up on…read moreparts that were already ordered and waiting. They do not accept debit or credit cards which was not communicated to us when we drop the car off. Initially we were told they will keep the car for three days to fix the mirror while they ended up doing it the same day. After picking the car up, we encountered some new sensor malfunction light. The "solution" we received was to wash the car (on our own). While arguing with the owner/manager she commented that she didn't even wanted to fix the car to begin with (but not informing us about this otherwise we would obviously pick a different shop). Finally they "generously" agreed to wash it. The issue persisted. Also, it is unacceptable to say "it is just a mirror" while she had no problem taking the cash for the "job" that was done or rather lack of it. Do NOT recommend it!!! The overall "fix" is that they DID NOT FIX it, put the old mirror back. We will be going to another shop.
