I came here to have my car serviced. I always bring my vehicle here for the oil change. This time I came for brakes. The service and communication in regards to my vehicle was good. I had an oil changed and the brakes repaired. At the check out time sticker shock, I was presented with the 4% service fee because I chose credit to pay. I was livid because I was not aware of this fee. This is the place I have been coming since ownership of my vehicle. One I feel as though this fee could be incorporated in the price and tell me we offer discounts if you pay cash. Second because you say this is a new processing fee then make sure customers are aware before they agree to service not after. I was very upset. I see this happening in many business and the customers aren't aware. Many people don't complain well I am that one. If I decide to return then that's my choice and I am now aware of your 4% fee. You didn't even offer rides to home within a certain mileage range or a vehicle. I spent extra on Uber and service fees. It may not seem like a lot to you the owner but it is to me. My mother was promise a car to be delivered at a certain time and was reached out to at the exact time to be told it was not happening. I purchased a preowned car Saturday, December 13, 2025. The running boards were down. I asked if the running boards could be lifted and was told yes. I am in my 60's so after the purchase, the wonderful sales person showed me all the bells and whistles on the car. I was so overwhelmed, I forgot to ask them to show me how to lift the running boards. Since I had to come out the following Saturday to bring the extra key to my trade-in, I asked the salesperson to show me how to lift the running boards. Come to find out, they do not work. The people I talked to there were very sympathetic and escalated the matter to the boss, Bill. I met Bill last week and he was so cordial and nice. When he was told about the running board issue, he turned into another person. I walked in his office and I could tell by his attitude, this would not be good. I asked if he could fix it and he said no that I saw the boards were down and that should have been a clue. I would have to pay thousands of dollars to get it fixed. I explained it was purchased one week ago and was told the running boards could be lifted, and that did not phase him. I asked him if they could at least lift the running boards and he said no. I have had my cars (plural) serviced here for about 20 years and and could not believe they would not at least lift the running boards. I purchased a preowned car from here before and joked that I would never purchase a car from here again because the gas tank was almost on E. I can honestly say now, that I will never purchase a car from here again. In 2018 my hazard lights started blinking randomly on my 2014 Cadillac XTS I took it to Napleton Cadillac in River Oaks and the nightmare began. First step they charged $235.00 dollars to look at the car and that fee did not transfer to the cost or repair, which was $800.00 dollars. Yes I was pissed but I paid the $1000.00 dollars the car was repaired and I moved on. A couple of months ago the issue resurfaced, thinking maybe they'll fix it for free or at a discount I went back to Napleton. No such luck, another $1000.00. When I got to the cashier there is a sign on the window stating that if you're dissatisfied with Napleton's service to report the incident to the state of Illinois, one number for the state and another number for Cook County, and no one ever answered my calls. Standing in the showroom I'm approached by a stranger and he tells me that cars brought into this dealership are intentionally damaged by the staff, and yes it sounded preposterous, I didn't believe it. It was over a week before I got my car back, and it was not the same. Steering knuckle jacked up, after a couple of weeks front end drivers side tore up, A.C not working, line-set damaged, exhaust system blown to hell, car sounding as if it had no muffler. I took the car to a front end shop and was told that the damage would cost $5000.00 dollars to repair (WTF), the exhaust system was $1500.00 dollars and the A.C was quoted at $1500.00. I'm old, I'm tired and I do not have the energy to continue this fight, but I warn you to stay out of that shop. read more

I spoke with a Tim whom stated that he didn't speak with me and he never stated that there computers were down. Well turns out I did have an appointment booked by Tim. I was told they were busy but would work me in. They did but I got out an hour later. They washed my car. The service guy was nice and came out a few times to update me. I took my car in because the door handle stop working. they told me that it would take several weeks to repair and they would have to keep my car. Thankfully they claim they had to order the part. So in the meantime I call looked around online and found Arnie B. Cadillac dealer in Matteson IL. and they ordered the part and it came back in one day. They fixed my car within 3 hours. I recently purchased a certified pre owned CTS and on the way home with my new purchase, the touch screen on the CUE system stopped working. The next day I contacted the Napleton service department and was able to get my car in the same day. Even though I did not purchase my car at Napleton, I was treated as if I did. They really screwed me around here at Napleton River Oaks Cadillac. I purchased a 2019 Cadillac CT6 earlier this year (2022) I purchased the vehicle with the promise that a cracked piece of chrome on the grill will be fixed. Well they fixed it alright, it is horrible what they did to the grill. They first of all scheduled the maintenance after the time that I would have been able to get my money back, and when I complained and requested to have the work done properly, they said they were not going to do anything else. This is my first time visiting Napleton River Oaks Cadillac and Inwas pleasantly surprised. I went to have a routine service of oil change and tire rotation which is covered under my warranty. I was in an out within an hour. I really appreciate that they had hot chocolate and water available in the waiting area. They even had a dedicated work area where I was able to pull out my laptop and get work done. Overall the service was good and they made me feel very comfortable while waiting. read more

Just brought my dad's Cadillac Truck Escalade in for service. 2 warning lights are on the dash, Tire Monitor and Seat Airbag. I was told that the cost to look at each issue is over $204 a piece! I asked the service advisor would the money be used to fix? He said "no". That's $408 without using a tool except computer! The advisor said these changes came down from corporate! I feel robbed by an American Company! They ask us to support American Companies and this is what we get! We went in to have a water pump replaced that was covered under warranty. As it turns out, the problem was not the water pump after-all, it was 2 hoses that collectively cost $113.00 for parts. Can you believe Napleton River Oaks charged us $509.00 for labor alone. I can't make this stuff up. This dealer was also very dismissive to me as a woman and preferred to speak to my husband only. Went to look at a newer model Cadillac and the salesman was very new, didn't seem polished at all. After test drive they took my trade in over to evaluate and came back saying it's only worth $500. 2007 DTS with perfect engine and some cosmetic damage (crack in windshield and plastic on seat was broken). Car also had rather high highway mileage. Then we played the dealership game which consisted of going back and forth with numbers. Turns out the finance manager wasn't interested in making a sale since even with a higher annual salary and decent credit they didn't want to work on the numbers. I was told that they'd bring my trade in back to the front and then we departed. I left and went to CarMax to purchase my vehicle and received double for my trade in. We all know how CarMax inspects trade ins. I ended up with a very nice car with lower payments and didn't have to play the dealership game, which is why it was my 3rd purchase from CarMax. Don't do business with these guys, I would recommend CarMax, but if you want a great car buying experience from a dealership try Shirey Cadillac in Oak Lawn. I wasn't even offered a soda or anything... Maybe only "privileged customers" get the better treatment. read more

I spent two evenings at your dealership looking for a vehicle and finally found "THE" perfect one that I wanted to purchase. Unfortunately, after my credit was "shotgunned" as your sales manager politely put it, by shopping for the best finance rate, my credit that had been in the high 700's was down into the 600's. Apparently, this is something that all dealerships do in shopping for vehicle loans. I found the perfect vehicle, the 2011 premium CTS with 14k+ miles and put down a $500 deposit to hold the vehicle until my husband could make it there the next evening to finalize the paperwork. I was dealing with Gabriel, the Sales Manager. He gladly took the deposit and said see you tomorrow night. I told him that I would be there by 4:30 and my husband should be there a few minutes after. Well, I walked in yesterday at 4:20ish and Gabriel was on the phone. He looked at me and gave me a thumbs down. He then hung up the phone and told me that the General Manager, Dan Keca had sold the vehicle. I asked if he was kidding and he replied no! I first asked how could he do that when I had a deposit down on it. He said that the other manager made a better deal and he couldn't do anything about it. I never received a phone call to tell me that the vehicle was no longer available. I had accepted what they told me my trade in was worth ($20k for a $32k 2014 Camaro) and they brought the price of the Cadillac down to $27,500. WHAT A TERRIBLE WAY TO DO BUSINESS!!!!!
