Great Great Great ! This is an awesome place not only for bonsai lovers and people that would like to purchase another plant, but it is also good to spend just some time outside with your significant others and enjoy the beauty of nature. Once you park your car in the attached parking lot and will be going to approach the entrance, you may be greeted by two adorable boxers (I guess both females), they have been always friendly not only with us but also with out yorkie dog that we were allowed to bring inside (holding her in arms obviously). I had previously managed to kill every bonsai tree that I had had before. But it is pretty hard to stop me , so my darling fiancé bought me a new bonsai, a jade this time . We were explained in detail by the owner how to take care of it and what to do to make it look nice and healthy. Guess what ? after two or three weeks I started to note that my new plant is loosing its leaves and does not feel well at all. So, we took it back to Miami tropical bonsai and asked them to put it in their recovery area for owners that do not know what they are doing. To be honest with you, there are many pour plants there. After about 6/7 weeks we went to visit our tree and the condition was amazing ! I don't know what they did, but they "recovered" my tree to the initial condition and again the owner of the business took his time to explain me what I did wrong. My tree is now amazing and cheering us with its beauty every day! I wish I could allow myself to buy one day a tree that they have at the entrance. True specimen!

What a magical place to experience bonsai! The range of tree sizes and types is astounding. The containers the trees call home are beautiful and unique. The staff is welcoming and happy to share their love of bonsai. I love their WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) mindset so you know you are getting exactly what they have posted on their site. There is something for every taste and every pocketbook here. We were enchanted!

I got my first bonsai tree as my BDay present from my in laws, a Funkien Tea. But it started to turn yellow since my in laws got it from here I immediately called and let me tell you the gentlemen that helped me was very kind and suggested that I should take it back so that he can take a look at it. When I arrived I was greeted at the front door with a big smile and a priceless welcome by Alva the gentlemen that helped me over the phone and a nice young lady. He checked my trees and gave me a lot of tips in how to keep her blooming and healthy. The place has sooo many choices, accesories, tools and handmade pots in front of you customized to your tree. How awesome is that!!!!... And the best part is that they service you a bonsai trees too... IM SO IN LOVE WITH THE PLACE that I will be visiting soon and the people that work there are even better.....thank you guys for the help with my baby.

Awesome experience at an amazing place, huge selection of the bonsai regulars in every size with outrageous specimen pieces. Found the owners to be friendly & family oriented. Couldn't go home without four new trees & hope to attend a Saturday workshop soon.

After reading great reviews, I decided to pay Richard Lyons Nursery a visit and was glad I did. The property is a little tricky to find and from the street doesn't look that big, but once you enter, you will see the outside looks are deceiving. This place is packed with all sorts of ornamentals, fruit trees and other types of plants. After choosing several plants and having the sales ticket written up, I was very pleasantly surprised to see that it was only $40. Had I gone to another place in Kendall or a major retailer, I would have paid much more. I will definitely be back for more.

We first discovered Lyons in our search for rare Atala butterflies to augment the population at our house... the folks at Montgomery botanical center had recently brought a population of Atala caterpillars to feed on Lyons sizable coontie selection. We were lucky to get a coontie with freshly laid eggs... that was in late September, and they emerged from their cocoons today (late October). They have a wonderful selection of butterfly larval and nectar plants. They have both local and exotic plants also including bamboo, heliconia, and more. When you arrive, park a short way in... a siren will announce your presence, and you'll soon be met by a guide in a golf cart. We've been four times so far, and each time we go we've discovered a new area, and new plants. As you wander around, make sure you look at the amazing mature specimens that dot the property.... such an amazing variety... it rivals a botanical garden!

Beautiful almost white pea sized gravel and gorgeous plants and plantings everywhere (in&out). There's a false front (western style of the 1800's with a drugstore front on the left and a mercantile on the right, done in galvanized metal. Then you walk in and find yourself in a tremendous space offering a corridor of potted gardens leading you along to three spaces, one on the right for dining suited with picnic tables sporting tablecloths, enough seating for 85+. There's also a smoothie bar featuring blender drinks and nonalcoholic beers. At the center of this space, straight ahead is a mechanical bull upon a platform, with inflated walls and floor. There's someone to run that. There's another 2 areas to the left with several round tables for 20-40 others. Then there's the stuff for kids and more kids. Every kind of game for 2-12 yo kids, from little Jenga blocks, small & big trucks & excavators, playgrounds lg and sm, just all kinds of stuff everywhere, along with little picnic tables and small tables & chairs. Finally, at the back of the property are the animals. By the way the food is fantastic and not expensive and there's a menu for dogs too! Almost forgot, pups are welcome. From the moment you walk through the threshold the staff was very very friendly and so helpful. They were very willing to explain the idea of the place. I loved that they had such a great Green Nursery vibe, they do sell the plants, delicious food for sale and they have animals to go View and hang out with in the back. I got the pleasure of having a passion fruit and mango smoothie reminded me of one I had in Thailand which is a big deal cuz I have yet to have found something similar. I got my breakfast and Cuban food craving fix taking care of there. The coffee both hot and ice were absolutely delicious and satisfying. The only thing I can say is when you drive in parking seems to be very bleak. But there's plenty of parking behind in a parking lot. Overall I would give this please a 5 out of 5 stars everything from Food Service ambiance and the plants were absolutely stunning. Next time I go visit Miami that will definitely have to be a trip on my agenda.

Because if you write The Heavenly Garden on your Google Maps app, you will end up on the other side of Homestead, looking at various mansions. Not even kidding. That being said, given that this is being written on Yelp, I trust you won't have the adventure my girlfriend and I did trying to find this sanctuary of orchids and succulents among many other treasures. Ahem. Let's see... what's there to know? Well, they have a free and immense parking lot and you can essentially spend your entire day there taking photos. I took dozens upon dozens, but I'm not bothering posting them all because I don't think that they serve this place justice. Not only is the staff following proper protocol during COVID-19, but they're kind and willing to give you a free tour. The gentleman who attended us was so friendly, but more so, he was instructive and we even learned that a particular flower had chocolate smells coming from it in the morning. Also, we learned how some orchids got their unnatural color. Specifically the blue orchid I fell in love with. I'd probably have bought one, but everything I touch dies. I don't have a green thumb whatsoever. I would, however, happily buy one for a loved one should the occasion arise.
