The indoor field was in good shape compared to what I have played on before at other sportsplex. Their website leaves a lot to be desired as well as directions following making a soccer team. We went here for a "Loudoun and Fairfax home show" the weekend of April 11. It's not their fault that the show is absolutely terrible but the facility itself was very outdated dirty trash all over the place outside and inside and honestly just looks like nobody has cared for this facility for a very long time. I'm not sure who recommended Michael & Son to go into this business, but as a spectator I was disappointed. It sucks to watch a basketball game at this complex... between the elevated platform's iron railing, drop net from floor to ceiling and the steel columns supporting the structure, we were dipping and ducking our heads around trying to follow the game. Some spots on the court are completely blind and you can't see anything. As an AAU parent, we pay significantly for our kids to play and this place was not worth the $30 weekend experience... and they only take cash. #notimpressed read more

100% of the time the air conditioning sponsored by Michael & Sons is broken. There are more raccoons living in the dumpster than employees who clean the facility. Management has lots of turnover every few months is a sign of poor pay. Bathrooms are typically filthy. I was invite by some clown to play in a league on an individual team. At the first game there were not enough to field a team but who TF cared there was no opponent to play. There is a fee for the season + a fee for a building pass. The Fairfaix & Loudoun Co dumps are cleaner. The exterior of the building is like a mature safari of trash. read more

If you go here to watch your child in a sporting event or tournament... be prepared to have your time wasted! Of course during the time of Covid19, people should expect a longer process to entering public events, but the Dulles Sportsplex has taken this inconvenience to NEW HEIGHTS (all under the umbrella of safety). FIRST... you have to go online, pay and sign up for a Covid Tracking program. (Tip: Screen shot the scanning icon and use the pic every time you go for faster access.) SECOND... you can't pay the exorbitant fees ($15/day or $20/wknd) in cash, you have to log into yet ANOTHER website where you have to put ALL your info in, pay there with a credit card AND THEN wait for a confirmation email. Once you show the gate attendance your confirmation email (TIP: Check your spam for the email), they will award you with the "golden wrist band" that gives you access to watch YOUR child play (basketball, in my case.) On top of that...try hard not to touch anything while you are there bc for the $20 you pay, expect to have all sticky railings and watered-down antibacterial hand sanitizer that squirts out fast bc it's so liquidy that it's like taking a mini shower! We had a flag football party here for our son's 10th birthday. It was "the best birthday party, ever!", according to my son. The room was amazingly decorated when we arrived! There was a handful of staff helping to arrange the food, drinks, snacks, set up the table, serving the food, etc. The referral kept the kids busy playing football the whole time. I've waited a year to write this review, I have gone to different soccer places for my toddlers and my girls absolutely love the Dulles sportsplex soccer programs they have. During these times It's such a blessing to give my girls a semi normal lifestyle with everything that is going on. The coaches are patient with the kids and know how to keep them busy. I love that they incorporate educational classes during their soccer practice(showing them pictures of animals, colors, etc. And having them guess what it is) My girls are always left drained by the time we leave, perfect timing for their nap lol. Definitely looking forward to bringing my girls to more of their soccer classes. read more

The building is a huge, two-story facility. They also have Pizza Boli's and a bar right next to the main entrance. I came to support my boyfriend's dodgeball league through FXA Sports weekly, which was hosted here. They only have one court for dodgeball but it's an enclosed turf field. There's also multiple indoor soccer fields and basketball courts. Locating the building can be a little tricky but the entrance and parking are to the back once you first turn into the lot. read more

If there were negative stars, I would have chosen -5 stars. This sportsplex organization is a scam run by a bunch of crooks. We signed up for the adult soccer league back in September. They took our money and never called us again. We never go to play or anything else after they took our money. We have been trying to get updates, etc. since then to no avail. They blamed the lack of response on a change in management, but several more months have gone by with nothing from the new management. We've followed up and were told to email smgrefundrequest@gmail.com about it. Of course, there's been absolutely no acknowledgement of our email. It was another delay tactic while they keep our money. WARNING!!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS ORGANIZATION. THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND THEN YOU HAVE TO CHASE THEM AROUND WHILE THEY HIDE. My son was at this facility today for a birthday party. One of the staff decided to have the kids pick teams and my son was chosen last. While he did not appear to be upset, I knew this hurt his feelings. This is a very old-fashioned way of choosing teams. My son is not hugely into sports so I'm not sure if that was the reason, but I know deep down this hurt him. I am a school teacher and I take these matters very seriously as I know how small things like these can impact a kid long-term. I came here to see roller derby and for also a boxing event. It is a nice location with ample parking for smaller events. There is a pizza place here that is reasonable price that offers specials. I didn't have any of the specials but I did score a beer on draft for only $3 bucks which is cheaper than what I pay in fairfax. read more

I just wanted to thank Dulles Sportsplex and it's staff. I have a special needs son and they really accommodated him this week. He has behavioral challenges and it can be tricky for people to know how to interact with him. The main purpose of camp was to do something that would help him feel good and gain confidence in himself. He still had his behavioral episodes at times during camp. But that is normal. They handled them well and communicated effectively each day with us. By the end of camp my son gained friends, had fun and gained confidence in himself. The staff was positive and great with my son. We will definitely be going to more camps here. read more

Pretty good sports complex. My kids are frequent users of their indoor soccer fields and basketball courts. The indoor leagues are organized. With the facility having many games and leagues going, the start and end times they publish for games and reserved areas (i.e., parties, practices, games) are usually punctual and start/end on time. The indoor eatery is pretty good - I recommend the burgers, funnel cake fries, and wings. The place could use a good cleaning. But it's a sportsplex and you can't complain about its adequate sports facilities. They even do birthday parties. But check it out before booking to male sure you are okay with the food, cake, and party room. read more

Went to the Michael and Son Sportsplex this past weekend for an AAU tournament. I was expecting a nice large facility considering the area its located in. I was Majorly underwhelmed. The facility looks like it has been poorly managed to cause it to be outdated and dirty. I understand it won't be a super nice or fancy place considering the nature of their business, but I still expected better than what they currently are. The food court was nothing special and overprices. However, I will say they had a pretty good selection and the fries were great! You aren't allowed to bring outside food in so eat before or plan a food break if you're going to be there awhile. They had several basketball courts and turf fields. I didn't get a close look at their fields but their courts are in need of some TLC. They aren't labeled clearly making it confusing and the scoreboard didn't work at the court we were at. Sitting and space for spectators is a major issue. The walkway between the fields and courts are crowded and cluttered with equipment. Upstairs seating is VERY limited and the bleachers are facing the wrong way further limiting the amount of seating for spectators. It serves its purpose but wouldn't be my first choice of venue for sporting tournaments. read more

The Sportsplex is not doing a good job of cleaning for Covid. We have been there several times and have not seen nobody sanitizing and disinfecting nothing not good .My son may have got Covid from there. Each and every time I or my team approaches the Front Desk for any questions or to BUY something, the kids who work the front desk ignore us. They don't treat us like customers! Plus, they still haven't posted the game schedule for my league, and the game night is less than 24 hours away. Each time I call to see if they have posted the game schedule, the kid keeps repeating the same sob story. Saying that the "upper management" hasn't posted the schedule yet, and that it will be on their website within a couple minutes. This is unacceptable! In addition, the referees are always starting LATE! Which hurts the players, because then we have less time to play. On top of bad service, the 'upper management' has the audacity to increase the FEES for player cards, from $5 to $20! And this is only valid for one year! So not only are players paying $90 approx to play on a team, they also have to pay $20 hidden player card fee. Again, not fair, not acceptable. This place smells like death, no air circulation, and poor playing facilities. For the price we are paying to play there, I rather take my business to Nzone in Chantilly where it only costs $65 to play for a season of about 8 indoor soccer games. Do yourself a favor and play somewhere else. read more

This is a good place for your kid's birthday party. The customer service is excellent during parties and the kids have a blast and most go home tired. As far as camps go, this place is horrible. I sent both of my boys to a week long basketball camp. On day one, both boys said all they did were some drills and played games and the "coaches" shot trick shots. They were not coached or corrected once. I called and asked to speak to a manager 30 minutes after the camp was over, and the lady I spoke to had no idea who to get to talk to me, so she said someone would call me back. No one called back. I called back 4 hours later and the gentleman I spoke to said that the manger/director overseeing camps was off that day, but there was no one I could speak to. No backup? Really??? I went in on day 2 of the camp and asked for a refund. The guy at the desk said they got a lot of good feedback. The only feedback that matters are my 2 boys that were standing next to me and they didn't receive any coaching. He said they ran drills. I said that you can run drills all day, but if they aren't being corrected during the drills then all they are doing is breeding bad habits. He then proceeded to tell me, "Well, we do have 60 kids in the camp." And that's my fault that they over booked the number of kids in a sports camp where they are supposed to be coached??? They run the specific sports camp like a daycare, not an athletic improvement camp like they advertise it to be on their website. My advice would be to save your money and avoid the sports camps unless you truly just want your kid out of the house and not learning anything. read more

By day, DSS offers sports camp for kids and by night, league play for adults. You can find soccer, volleyball, roller hockey, flag football, and basketball leagues here. I've even participated in dodge ball many moons ago but I haven't seen that in a while. I'd say soccer is the most popular as you can find multiple categorized 6x6 leagues (men, women, co-ed, men over 30, women over 30, co-ed over 30, etc) and further broken down by skill (division A, B, C). The turf fields are the nicest in the area (compared to Fairfax Sportsplex), large and well maintained. Note: During the summer/spring months, the team sign up fees are cheaper cause they figure everyone's playing outdoor soccer. read more

Highway robbery, $2 charge regardless if your child participates in the league and pays league fees. $2 charge for every spectator regardless of age. Staff forces membership fees regardless if your not loca even though indoor season is temporaryl. Going forward I will not use Micheal and Son for any my home services based on my personal experience. Please use the extra $2 charge to provide customer care training for staff rather then training high pressure membership enforcement on spectator trying to watch a match at most once a week which is seasonal. The math does add up based on thier membership model. This did not exist pre covid and if nothing is said now this will the norm going forward. read more

My daughters have played for soccer teams over the past couple of years that utilize this facility during the off season to continue training. Positive - indoor - running water - lighting - bathrooms - tv's in concession area - adult beverages - start games on time Negative - extremely dirty (bathrooms, concession area, fields, parking lot) - final schedules created after season starts - scheduling games on Thanksgiving weekend and Christmas Eve - no customer service (phones not answered or emails responded to) - league descriptions different than actual league (only 6 games when sold 7 games) - ID card is a scam to charge an add'l $10/child (2 games & not asked to provide proof yet) Tried to be fair and honest. Overall experience is certainly NOT worth the time or money. read more

During cold and flu season, this place is filthy. They need to clean the boards, poles and trash cans of all the spit and other junk that hasn't been cleaned. It looks like they do the floors, but everything else is gross. Their kids programs are a joke and they don't enforce the no parents rule in the no parents classes. Find it funny that after going there and seeing the place filthy, the whole family got sick. It's really a shame how people who own/run businesses like this cannot properly keep them up. Your experience with the sports plex is going to vary depending on what program/event you attend. The trainer I use for basketball is great, and that is the only reason I ever go to the sports plex. The courts have a permanent layer of dust and is composed of tiles which is awful for handling the ball. I have gone to a MMA fight once and had am okay time. Over all the place is just dirty. Have been going here for several months for basketball. A huge benefit to Dulles Sportsplex is the hours. They are one of the only few gyms that are open on weekdays so it makes sense. A couple downsides that I have noticed (THIS IS JUST FOR BASKETBALL COURTS): 1. They are usually running 20-30 minutes behind schedule when the courts are booked. When courts are booked for hockey or other basketball events, the previous groups are running behind schedule so it just has a waterfall effect to all parties who come afterwards. 2. The basketball courts are often dirty with dust/debris. 3. They close the gym a couple hours prior to the posted hours of operation if they do not have "enough business". This is is somewhat understandable since it is such a big facility but it can get frustrating when coming for open gym. TIP: Call in and ask when they are closing before heading to facility for open gym for both basketball and soccer. Overall, very average athletic facility but again the hours are convenient when looking to play somewhere late at night. read more

I do NOT recommend Dulles Sportsplex for soccer bugs. Each class was never consistent in activities or coaches. We typically would wait 10-20 minutes for class to even start and when it did we would have a lot of down time while the coach figured out what to do next. Usually we didn't have a coach at all or they would find some random person that had no idea what to do. Most of the coaches lacked enthusiasm and knowledge about what to do with little kids. There were maybe 6 other kids that started the program with us and by the end only 2 were left. On our last class we had a coach that hit my son (19 months) in the head with a soccer ball and kept calling him by the wrong name even after being corrected several times.
