I was referred to Michael Devlin Real Estate School from a cousin who took his Saturday workshop class. She had nothing but good things to say so I figured I would give it a try. I am so glad I did. I took my required real estate courses about a year ago right before COVID hit. I had my exam scheduled for April 2020, and had it canceled due to the pandemic. After a year and three reschedulings of my exam (from SIP) I was finally able to take my exam and passed! I took Michael's Saturday workshop along with participating in his Wednesday evening classes (different topic every week) and found his material to be extremely valuable and worth the cost. I enrolled for his webinar classes and 3 college course online classes. Took my test 5/29/2019, was pretty confident that I was going to pass just after answering a couple questions with ease, finished in half the time and passed! Much thanks to Mike and his staff. Some tips for those who are still in the process: - if you can't make the physical classes, watch the videos, their are some important tables and diagrams, but you can get 90% of the material just listening, so put it on your phone and play - use the test computrainer! This tool was invaluable to me passing, take all the master tests, and it will give you an option to retake all the incorrect questions at the end. Don't retake the same test even if you failed, it's more effective to get through all the tests and have memory of more questions. Even though I got 65% on my first takes of the master tests, the questions are so similar or even exact to the actual exam, it was easy to recall the answer. - for the 3 course online classes, I would recommend getting through it after you've watched/listened to Mike's classes. Just make sure you enroll as soon as possible, because there is a minimum time requirement of 18 calendar days per course, meaning you can only complete all three courses 54 days after the day of enrollment. It's open book quizzes and tests, so download the class pdf and just "Find" the answers. ;) These classes were little help overall in passing the exam, so just get through them. - after you passed the three courses and obtained the three certificates of completion, mail your exam app right away! This app takes about six weeks to process! Form RE 435 - also, get your fingerprints taken too! You can get these done at most county police stations, UPS, and postal annexes for a fee. Be sure to bring form RE 237. This process also takes about six weeks! - once you get your exam app processed, you'll be able to schedule your exam thru elicensing website, you'll be given your exam date notice form, bring this to the exam! That and a valid ID, nothing else, you'll be asked to put everything else in a locker, so pack light. So if you're thinking to getting your license, this is the FASTEST way: 1) enroll for online classes, take and pass all three course tests at the 54th day after enrollment. Use this time get through all the class videos (12 total). (54 days) 2) submit RE 435 exam application and RE 237 for fingerprinting (~42 days) 3) receive email that you can schedule test thru elicensing, you can take the soonest exam, even the next day (1 day) 4) pass the exam, and get RE 202 in the mail within a week or so (7 days), they will hold your license if you haven't done your fingerprints! In total, it takes about 15 weeks minimum, start to finish to get a real estate agent license! Good luck! read more

Wonderful teacher! Explains everything in detail and you can always ask him questions if something doesn't make sense. I passed my exam on the first try thanks to Michael! I have no background in real estate. The practice questions he has online are extremely helpful and some of them appeared on the exam. Even though the exam isn't the exact same as his practice questions it was a great practice to understand the overall concepts and exam material. 5/5 highly recommend! read more

I attended this one day course on passing my real estate class 2 weeks before my test in Oakland. Michael, made the day go by fast and gave me a lot of valuable information to get me ready for the test. It was well worth the $50 I paid for the day. I found out that 70% of people fail the test the first time. Not good odds, so I did excatly what Michael suggested and PASSED ON MY FIRST TRY. I absolutely recommend his class to pass the exam on your first try. Reasons are: 1) Michael covers all the keynotes in the handouts and he teaches those in a very simple way, 2) His classes are always fun due to his sense of humor and interesting because of the real example he brings to the discussion. How to pass first time: In order to pass the exam, you have to read the handout carefully and take all the master exams couple of times. I wasn't sure about this class when I got its ad in the mail. I've been bombarded with ads for classes but by chance I ended up with Mike. And I'm glad I did. I passed my exam the first around and it's really ALL thanks to Mike Devlin and the tools he gives the class. I recommend this class to all my friends that are planning on taking the exam. With a child, lack of time to focus on the test, I could pass the test at my first try because of Mike's classes. You can join 12 classes either by webminar or by on site. The webmiar is huge plus for people can't join on site classes. Also there's exam prep workshop on some Saturdays, which helps you to be perfectly ready for the test. I just passed my RE exam on my 1st attempt last Tuesday. It took me about 2:30 hours to finish the exam but I went through the exam twice to double check my answers. I had been studying using an app on my phone for a while and felt fairly confident. I got the mailer when I applied for my exam and figured for the price I might as well give it a shot. I was blown away but what I didn't know. I was nowhere near ready for my exam. I only signed up for the crash course, but I got so much more. Access to the website, the pdf downloads and all the slides that come with the class were integral to my success. Without this class I WOULD NOT HAVE PASSED! I passed the state exam on 10/28/16 second time around! I was short 1% the first time very frustrated, but decided not to waste any time and took the test a week later and passed! Michael's online classes and tests really helped me! There is no easy way around it, you have to study and take the tests over and over again, but the system works and if you study you will pass! My favorite thing about the tests was that if you get the answer wrong right below it you have the correct detailed explanation, which makes you understand and remember why this is so or so vs just memorizing the answer. read more

I decided to take the Saturday Exam Cram course after months of studying on my own and only landing about 65% on my mock quizzes. Uh-oh, that's when I knew I needed extra help. I was able to speak with a live person who helped me navigate the website. Since my test was 48-72 hours away, I opted for the prerecorded session and was able to stop/rewind during key concepts. Michael, helped me bridge the gap. What I found most helpful were the breakdown in concepts, the history behind it (I am a big "why" person), and the test-taking tips. I took the free class and after the session, i instantly knew this was the right class for me. I know that he was going to teach me what I needed to know to be a real estate agent and more importantly he was going to show me what was going to be on the test and how to think like an agent. Excellent prep class. There is so much material to review for the RE Exam, so Mike targets the most important things you need to focus on. I had studied for 3 weeks prior to this class, took it on a Saturday, spent Sunday reviewing and took the exam Monday and passed! After reading though the three state required RE books that I purchased online, I took the state test. I was quite surprised with the difficulty and how unprepared I was for the test. Attending Micheal Devlin's RE weekend course was a necessity. It truly prepared me for the test. It cut through the bull and provided the core knowledge, test taking tips, strategies and material I needed to take the State test confidently (and in 2 hours). I wish I knew about this earlier. It would have saved me time and money. I highly recommend reading your 2 required books + 1 elective, skip the useless book quizzes and sign up for a Michael Devlin class immediately. Wow! Michael Devlin is amazing. He's a great instructor, easy to listen to, very funny, and consistent. I passed on my first try! He offers options for you to go to the class or to watch it from home via webinar and you can rewatch the classes online, anytime you want.
