So happy & thankful to have acted on my curiosity. I spontaneously dropped in on a gentle pole class with a friend just for funsies & found a new exercise & hobby of mine. Since then I joined the 6 week absolute beginner pole fitness program that was then extended to another 6 week advanced beginner program. Best decision for my fitness journey because now I am an active member. Shout out to Peacha for being an amazing instructor & Lacin for always being supportive and motivating. Pole is definitely a sport. It works and engages muscles that I've been struggling to target on my own, while having a great time. This definitely works on your mental health too as you have to have the right mindset to do the exercise. Since joining I've noticed more strength in my abs & upper body and an increase in my flexibility. Things that I'd never imagined myself doing & with my body type I am doing ! It's really awesome & rewarding. What's great about MPF is their variety in classes. If you want fitness, join the pole fitness classes. If you want sexy & fun do gentle pole or a chair dance. They also have holiday themed classes and pop ups. So much to offer from a woman owned business with a supporting and uplifting community!

I've recently had my first ever pole class in this studio and I truly loved it. This is such a fun class, it mixes stretching, dancing and core strength all together. I've been doing yoga for years, and never thought I could do this but I was somewhat ok for a beginner class. This was a private class with the owner and the instructor Lacin and she was also fantastic. She has a very positive vibe and is very motivating. She knows what she is doing, she breaks down the poses, provides levels for beginners and explains which muscle groups are used. I truly enjoyed the class and I would certainly do it again. I also loved that they support other women business owners. Such a cool, positive and collaborative vibe. I highly recommend it!

The Magnetic Pole Fit community is one that is absolutely worth checking out. I originally found this studio by just simply googling "pole dancing" and taking a big step by registering for my first class! Since then, Lacin has helped me discover and trust my body to flow on the pole. I've worked out at the gym for years but never have I felt as strong as now. Jody has also contributed so much to my pole journey. They are well-versed in the muscle anatomy to help you move the correct way, and they also put you through conditioning that will help you prevent injury (SUPER NECESSARY!). I would really not be where I'm at in my pole journey if it wasn't for Jody. The studio offers classes for every level and every interest! From sexy chair dancing to active flexibility to spin pole, Magnetic Pole Fit offers so much! If you're hesitant to give pole dancing a try, just do a drop in for an L1 class and see for yourself :)

I've been wanting to attend a pole class for a while now and finally took the plunge last month! I've attended about 4 L1 classes so far and it's so much fun! Lacin is extremely knowledgeable and attentive. The class size is 5 people max (1 person to each pole) so she is able to keep her eye on everyone and make sure you're using proper form to avoid injury. Even though it is Level 1, there are some people who may be farther along and there are some who are complete beginners, and she is able to give everyone instructions based on their skill level. If you're looking for a fun way to work out and get stronger I definitely recommend coming here!

I started the MPF 6-week Beginners Program with zero pole experience, and now I'm spinning and inverting with confidence! Lacin and her team are genuinely invested in their student's individual goals, tailoring each class to be both challenging and comfortable. Whether it's strength, flexibility, dance, or something else - MPF will meet you where you are and help you get to where you're headed! I especially love that this community represents people of all ages, levels, abilities, shapes and backgrounds. I've made so many beautiful friends throughout my 6 months here, and I can't wait to see where my pole journey leads me next!!

I had my first class today and it was awesome!! Very clean and small class and the instructor was very patient! I highly recommend this studio!

Hands down the best decision I've made was to take my first pole class here. Lacin, the instructor and owner of MPF, is the kindest person ever and the biggest cheerleader to her students. She takes the time to really stop and help you gets the moves down; it's like it is a goal of hers to see you doing well. Shes so encouraging, even when I feel like im not doing as well as i want to. My favorite thing she says to us during class is "Youre not trying, YOURE DOING!" And it pushes me to always come back. Since then Ive taken so many of my friends with me to pole classes and we always have a blast. Ive taken one class with the other instructor, Jody, for spin pole and she's amazing too. Watching them execute the moves always has me in awe

What I like about this studio : - small class size, giving you more individual attention - Lacin is a fantastic pole instructor! She's friendly, knowledgeable, supportive, and gives helpful feedback. She adapts and modifies moves at a pace that suits you. - easy and spacious parking next to the building If you're even just a little curious what it's like to twirl around a pole, I highly recommend taking a class at Magnetic Pole Fit. I've been wanting to try pole for a while and am glad I finally started. I love to challenge my body and moving on the pole did just that, activating muscles I don't normally use. I don't think my upper body has ever been as sore as it felt after my first pole class! In addition to the fitness benefits, it gives me an avenue to express myself in a way I don't normally get to. The pole fit class begins with a warmup before going into the pole moves, then ends with a cool down. I've been taking Pole Fit Lvl 1 classes for about two months now and I'm very excited to see how I progress.

I've attended classes with Ly, Yisha, Jane, Yoko, Jo, Katya, and some other guest and sub instructors. There are a variety of classes offered for a fair price point. Each instructor has their own teaching style, but they all focus on student success and encouragement. I originally started pole dancing as a way to honor myself and my body, and with the help of the instructors, I've gained a level of self confidence that I never had. If I ever need to cancel class, Ly always checks to make sure I'm okay and asks if I need anything. Even though she has a lot of students, she's very caring and mindful of each individual. The classes are structured with a warm up, the instruction and practice, time to record/practice independently, and a cool down. The instructors provide hands on spotting throughout class and will walk you through any move to ensure safe techniques to avoid injury or troubleshoot if a move isn't working for you. Instructors will also provide simpler or more advanced variations of one move to ensure access and a challenge for each student. I am a pretty sensitive and shy person, but the community at this studio helps me break out of my comfort zone with a lot of positive encouragement. I highly recommend Ly's pole studio for your aerial arts journey.

Upon arrival, the instructor inspected my nails, handed me a nail clipper, and told me to cut them even shorter. I've trained at multiple studios, including Circus Center in SF, and have never had this requirement taken to this extreme. The studio uses an aerial rig that requires tying on a frame, and when I didn't know how to adjust the silks, the instructor seemed annoyed at having to explain it. During the class, she demonstrated a silks sequence twice, expected us to follow, and when I had difficulty, she told me to move to the Level 1 class. So, my second (and final) visit was to Aerial Silks Level 1. Asia still seemed irritated that I didn't instantly know how to rig the setup; this was only my second time there. Class started 15 minutes late, with just three students total. We then spent the entire hour doing inverts in a knot behind the back. I'm not exaggerating, nothing else for the whole session. When I asked to try something different, I was ignored and told we wouldn't move forward until my invert had zero knee bend. After 30 minutes of nonstop inverts, anyone's legs would fatigue. I've never had such an unpleasant, condescending experience with a teacher. I wasted a session credit on a class that not only started late but also taught me nothing.

Nicole is great, along with Jensen. They were attentive and offered options as naturally in a big group there are people with different levels. I purchased a package 4 class pack for $135 ($33.75/class). I used one on Oct 12 for Aerial Silks with Joanie. I had a positive experience as I felt she was a natural at silks and leading a positive class. I wanted to attend Nicole's Partner Acro on Oct 17 but I had issues paying for a drop-in class online. Their booking system defaulted to using a class from my class pack ($25 vs $33.75). I did not book it. I called a left a message with the business number the website for someone to help. I described exactly what the issue was. I received a text confirming that I was booked. I was confused and thought maybe the studio saved a spot for me but I just needed to pay later. Then I figured out that one of the classes were used from my package. After class I asked Nicole who I can talk to about billing. And to my surprise Ly was there. It was my first time meeting her! I explained my issue and she kept pointing out that it was the fault of their booking system or something that I did. (Keep in mind that I did not book it. Meaning someone authorized manually booked it on the business side.) I was going to let the price difference go. I asked how I can book next time without experiencing the same issue. Ly told me to reach out to her or Nicole to book it manually. But did not offer me her phone number. I asked her how to reach her, after she gave it to me I realized it was the same number on the website. I told her that was the number I left a voicemail on that day regarding the booking. Ly said something along the lines of not listening to it yet. I was thrown off because she did not offer me a refund or price adjustment. I had to initiate how to move forward for next time I pay for Partner Acro (indicating that I have interest in returning). I also had to ask for her phone number as it was my first time meeting her, surely she did not expect me know her phone number! Now I know her cellphone is the same one listed on their website. She did not have any common curtesy to acknowledge my experience. In places like this studio people come to with the intention to learn and create positive experiences. Often times these places become like a second home as community gets built. Also people come here to spend their discretionary income which needs to be acknowledged because of how much it cost to live in this area. Its not the few extra dollars that I spent that left me with a bad taste in my mouth but it was the indifferent response.
