I absolutely love Seven Trees Community Center because they have a nice layout, just underneath the Seven Trees Library on the first floor! They sell snacks and drinks at the front Desk, take card and cash for purchase. The Community Center has tables and chairs on the first floor, and they've got a Gym for members and also Ping-Pong for the elderly. Overall the staff is friendly and are approachable and is good to have communication. Enso forever! I really hope more people start utilizing the INSIDE of this building. The tennis courts and basket ball courts are always hopping and in good condition. It is a shame some of the local idiots tag stuff up and make it less attractive for the actual users of the center. I really don't understand this need to "tag" and make something "yours" when in fact you probably didn't pay the taxes to build it... but I digress The inside of the center has a great deal of wonderful things to use including the library. Local 7 Trees community meetings are held frequently here as well. There is also a First 5 satellite office here. A small little community center with a gym, auditorium, and places to sit and study. I came here for a Hmong New Years Event. The only thing was the parking is shared with the library so it's a little crazy during events like this. Good thing they have another nearby overflow lot. Beautiful new rebuilt tennis courts, with lights and outlets. There are four courts, separated into two sides of two courts each. During the summer the courts are dominated by the Viet crowd, mostly older folks who like to take their sweet time so you'll be hard pressed to find a court during peak times (weekend mornings, weekday nights after work). My friend and I came kinda late, around 9pm or so, and still waited about 20 mins to get a court. In the mean while, one of the dogs that a player had brought was wandering around, and peed on my friend's bag! After that little annoying dog left, another guy came with his huge pit bull, which he tied to the fence, INSIDE the court while he played. Even though it was on the other side of our court, it kept barking incessantly and was freakin' annoying! So yeah, minor distractions are a-plenty on public courts, but these new courts are worth it, at least while they're still in good shape. read more

This is a popular community center. It's pretty new, one of the nicest community center in San Jose. It has a gym and a nice basketball court. Real hardwood from Sonoma State. You do need a gym membership, look for summer deals if you want to join. Plenty of parking which is great. Parking lot can get busy in the morning because people use it to get onto Capital Expressway. read more

My friend has been asking to play tennis for awhile now. So, naturally, after being damn persistent, I told her I'll play with her. Granted and her knowing that I havn't played for couple years now, we still headed to these courts. We bought our rackets, balls, and water. I heard from my friend that this community center is newly renovated. The library hasn't opened yet, but nearby there's a park, basketball and tennis courts. I think about 4-6 games could be going at once for tennis. When we got there in the afternoon, the courts was empty. We played a few games and practiced hitting the balls. We had a blast....maybe play again next weekend? All I know, I need a bit more practice...lol...but, at least I know I can hit some balls and that I don't suck that badly...haha.. read more

This is a review of the center as used by the Red Cross starting January 4, 2023 as a flood evacuation center. I am sure that there are very many red Cross volunteers and workers who are doing God's Work and they are the salt of the earth and are earning their wings. That having been said, the management of the Red Cross is one chicken shit outfit in toto. One simple case in point will show that they are rigid and compassionless cretens. If one enters their shelter with an animal, dog or cat, they immediately separate the owner and his pet. The cat or dog is kept in a separate locked room confined to a crate. The animal may not stay with the owner while at the shelter, but must be confined as stated above. Then, to compensate for their forced isolation of the animal the promulgate a rule that one must visit one's animal every 3 to 4 hours, which,of course, is impossible if one has a job. Then, to add insult to injury, only one person at a time may visit his pet, at which time they post a girl at the window to observe everything. Yes, dear friends, the Red Cross organization is a chicken shit outfit. This is the 2nd year that I have enrolled my grand-daughter enrolled in the summer camp at Seven Trees. She loved her first year hear, but this year is a different story. I tried to get a refund for the last two weeks because she refuses to go because she feels she was bullied in the past. Think twice before you send your loved ones there as I'm not confident that the adults are keeping a watchful eye on our children/grandchildren. And if you ask for a refund outside of the two weeks, you won't get your $$$ back. What's up with that? Why do I need two weeks notice to cancel and get a refund? Not a happy consumer at all! read more

This is a honest observation and not a opinion for the gym. I bought a year pass which will end next month(thank god). The majority of time I arrive to the counter to check in, no one is never there. There have been many instances with my friend and I, where they come to the weight room to confirm if we are members. Are you serious?!? They come attacking like you're not a member because NO ONE IS NEVER IN THE FRONT COUNTER. I hope the owner of this community center reads this review so they can do something about the employees working here. I like going to the Roosevelt Community center one because there is always someone in the front. read more

Monthly membership is $25.99 and I would recommend for this who are looking for a cheaper alternative and don't want too much people around. I've been to Seven trees Library since I was in elementary school. When it had to be rebuilt I started going to Tully Library. Finally in 2013, it opened and my boyfriend and I went on the first day it opened to check it out. FIRST IMPRESSION: The outside looks so trendy and modern. There are tennis courts and a parking lot. There is a RETURNS section for the library outside. When you first enter the building, there are different hallways leading to different things. One leads to the library (upstairs), another leads to meeting rooms, and another leads to the fitness area. There are tables and chairs when you first enter where you can do your homework or chill. MEETING ROOMS: Looks very nice and comfortable. Apparently you have to request the room before you can use it. And according to other reviews, the staff members are not very friendly with the meeting rooms. FITNESS WING: The small weight room is very small! There are a few cardio machines and some weights. Nothing special. The basketball area seems really big though! Looks like a private elementary school gym. There is a dance room where zumba and yoga classes takes place. LIBRARY: I don't really like it how it is upstairs, but whatever. The new library looks very new and there are still some empty bookshelves that are waiting to be filled. The teens room looks nice! There are also rooms for study. OTHER ROOMS: There is another room on the right when you first enter. It seems like a big room for performances or large gatherings/parties. There is also a small side for a book sale/donation. WHY I RATE 2 STARS: 1) I personally dislike libraries that are integrated to a community center. I really dislike how Seven Trees also have a gym and meeting rooms now. I like libraries that are only libraries. 2) I do not like how the library is open from Wednesdays to Saturdays and the hours are so short. 10/11 AM to 6 PM. WTF? This library is so close to my house yet I can't use it to study because it closes early. 3) Library is upstairs. I'm glad that the Seven Trees Library is finally done but it is not what I expected it to be. I like how libraries are only libraries. NOT integrated into a community center. Sigh. read more

This is a really beautiful addition to the area. The library is big and well-organized, and I'd been going to the gym and doing zumba before they finally reopened the library part. There was one reeeeally awkward time where they just cancelled belly dancing (they got a new coordinator and the new schedule didn't have the class on it) without telling the teacher. We all showed up and did the class, and the teacher said she'd sort it out, but the class never showed up again on the schedule and when I called to ask, they said the coordinator would call me back but he didn't. I didn't like that the class was handled like that, especially since they apparently didn't say anything to the teacher. My biggest complaint here is that a lot of parents don't watch their kids. Often, children are running around or pushing in front of people all the time. I've literally been shoved by kids multiple times here, with no "sorry" or "excuse me." Even if the parent is with the child, they don't say "say excuse me," they just let their kid shove in front. The most I've seen in disciplin is the workers lamely calling after the kids, saing, "No running please..." but the kids just keep running. This is a library, there's a playground outside if your kid wants to run. Don't expect other people to watch your kid for you, and for the safety of your own child, you should be keeping an eye on them at all times. As a substitute teacher and glee instructor, I beg everyone to remember that predators are out there. You can't let your kid run free assuming that a library is safe, or that it's the worker's job/a stranger's job to watch your child. read more

Beatiful brand new communtiy center with a gym and other ammenities. I wanted to check out the library but was told it would not be open until the fall. So I walked over the the gym and it looked very nice and new of course. They have a special right now to join for $120.00 for the entire year, hey, that's only TEN dollars a month! The drawback is that there is no pool and I'm not sure if there's even a locker room since I didn't see one and gave myself a self-guided mini tour. I was there to play bingo in the cafeteria. They have bingo every Friday at 1:00 P.M. The buy-in is from 7 to 17 dollars & the payouts are 75 to 99 dollars. The session usually lasts for two hours. I got some brochures and they offer classes for 50+ and youth groups, however, there were line through a lot of the classes so I'm guessing they are not available just yet since they are still a brand new facility. read more

So I went here on 6/29/14 A very Hot Hot Day Outside...So Picture this My Daughter whom is 10 and Me walking about 2 blocks to Go play Basketball at Seven Trees Community Fitness Center inside because we have a Flyer advertising Open Gym for Basketball 12-2pm Mon we walk in the HOT HOT SUN we get to the Front Desk ...I say " Hello I would like to Sign us in and Pay the $2.50 Each for Drop in Open Basketball Clinic" Woman At the Desk says "Oh no we cant Allow you to play because your Daughter is 10 and not 14" she Says "But you can Come At 3pm and sign her up for our Teen Center and she can Play at that time" At that point I blankly stared at her and said " Um I Was told about 6 months ago she isn't old enough for Teen Center because she isnt 14 " She Says "Oh well our Rules sometimes allow for Exceptions I think the youngest child we have in there now is 12" So I felt Like Arguing but I told myself No Keep Your Composure and then She says "Oh just a heads up There are Courts outside" I said "Thanks I'm aware of it" I'm thinking in my mind NOW REALLY!! HOW SILLY IS DAT?!!! ITS 12 noon 93 Degrees outside and Humidity is 40% AND SHE WANTS US TO HAVE A HEAT STROKE OUT THERE MEANWHILE THEY LET PRE TEENS IN TEEN CLUB AND WE ALL KNOW THERE IS NO PARENTALS THERE ....SO we proceed to Court outside Where I shoot Maybe 7 shots and My daughter shoots 3 and then she goes and sits on court in tiny shade so then I join her and I start calling all over town Gyms and all seeing Whom has courts that Allow children it was Literally Saddest day of my life! and I mean now I know where the song ( Basketball Jones ) From Space Jam Comes From. Other then that I have been to concerts at this community center and I love the atmosphere and I have played Bingo here a few Times on a Friday and I have Attended Sunday Church here as well and I enjoy the Experience Over all I mean Seven Trees needed this Back in 2000-2004 but I am thankful it is in the Community now. read more

I am excited about having the library back open and all the new services that are being offered. They have a Family Learning Center now that has various programs to help you learn to use a computer, English as a Second Language, Citizenship classes and more. Three times the space and amount of computers. I love the ambience and the windows for all the natural lighting. It is a great place to study and they have a silent room. The marketplace has the latest books and an awesome media section where you can rent DVDs for free for three weeks. Let's see Redbox compete with that :) read more

This place is newly renovated and I gotta say is that they did a great job. The place looks clean and very well organized. Thank god they re-did the entrance off capitol expwy. I play basketball here, the court is kept clean which is very good. Only gripe is they should have promotions more often to become a member because it is pricey to become a member read more

I go here almost everyday to play basketball in the morning with friends and sometimes in the afternoon, the courts nice and everything. The facilities are clean. I enjoy it here but I'm giving it a low rating because some of the staff members can be a**holes. And the basketballs they provide here suck! They're all lopsided to big and what not. There's a supply room with all the balls and you literally see new balls that my friends and I usually grab when they're not looking. It's like you guys have these new basketballs that you can lend out to the people who are paying to play here but you choose to just store them away in boxes when your staff members even say the balls suck! This community Center is pretty awesome looking! Very Clean and they have lost of classes and activities for children and seniors. The gym is clean and very user friendly. Two drawbacks: 1.) the signs clearly state that all people using the gym must be 14 or older and there are 11/12 years literally playing on the machines and yelling out profanities across the room not just once but the past three times I have been 2.) The library is not open yet :( read more

This center is amazing! The pre-k teachers are amazing. I love ms.bina and miss.Daisy. I've never had a problem with anyone here. The staff is very friendly. They are always so nice and welcoming. They offer classes for toddlers. My daughter did the ballet class which she loved and she also did the gym stars class which was also very cool. The have tons of stuff for the kids to do here. This is a beautiful community center in the middle of a so-so neighborhood. It's a shiny gem amongst its surroundings. My kids took a cooking camp last summer and enjoyed the use of its kitchen classroom. They also offer exercise classes and a gym. The library will be opening soon so I'm excited to be able to finally use it. read more
