While he was polite, I felt consistently pressured to take pharmaceutical medications I didn't ask for. I made it clear I don't take medication yet it came up at every appointment. That felt pushy and inappropriate. The office itself is poorly managed and lacks basic follow-through. I once took a saliva test and was told I'd receive results in two weeks. I never received anything. Months later I had to ask for them at my next appointment and only then was I handed the results without apology just a casual "my bad." At another appointment I was told I'd be sent a colon screening test. That test was never sent. Then weeks later I got a call from the office pressuring me to schedule my Medicare physical. I explained I hadn't even received the test they said they'd send and they told me I now needed to come back in to get it, something they should've done at the last visit. Again no apology no ownership just a dismissive attitude. There was also a serious issue when I was out of state receiving care for my prosthetic leg. I urgently needed paperwork from MaxHealth for insurance processing and they flat-out refused to provide it. That delayed my prosthetic fitting and impacted my care significantly. It was a basic request and their refusal showed a complete lack of concern for patient needs. The office manager Jennifer was especially rude and dismissive during these interactions, cold unhelpful and unwilling to take any accountability for the issues caused by their own staff. Bottom line MaxHealth made it clear that they prioritize billing over care. They push medications fail to follow up on their own orders and create unnecessary barriers for patients, especially those with disabilities. I would not recommend this office if you expect responsible patient-centered care.

He has been an amazing…read moregastroenterologist - He is always dependable , caring , concerned and has the most fantastic personality.- I have always felt very well managed by the ARNPs, RNs and technicians - above this- the doctor is extremly brilliant!! We are so lucky that he has decided to be a primary care , concierge physician now along with gastroenterology! I had my first primary care appointment on Tuesday with him and I feel like I saw 4 specialists. So grateful to Madison too , his medical assistant,for her positivity and sweetness. Doctor K is always available if you have problems- very important to me at age 67. Try him for a month and see what I mean about his insight , understanding, caring and mirth. It makes me feel so at ease knowing that now he is "steering my ship, " so to speak and knows what I need to have to stay well and on top of what is necessary- AND what is NEW in the world of medicine to keep me alive to see some grandchildren some day If you chose him you are going to want to thank me.

I had to go to the left window and speak to another lady who took my paperwork. 10 min later window opens I barely heard my name called... I went back and she wanted to schedule me in for Jan? With a big smile. It's Aug..she then condescendingly said how about February? Like laughing to herself. I said no, I'd like to get in earlier. I guess I'll have to go somewhere else. She didn't say one word just handed me my paperwork back. My opinion is this, if you don't like your job, don't work where you work. It's not our fault as customers that you're unhappy. You don't need to spread your bad energy to customers. It's bad for your company and for your well-being. If this is my company and I saw this lady treating a customer, the way I was treated I would fire her on the spot. I've been the customer service industry for over 35 years. Not acceptable I've never not seen a company refused customers in all of my life. Good riddance. I went home and got on the phone and I got in right away for tomorrow, with another firm Deuces. I recently had a health emergency for which a trip to the emergency room resulted in nothing. No care, no prescription, no relief, no diagnosis and inadequate testing. I went to see Dr. Bakus as a walk in the next day and was diagnosed and treated within hours despite it being a holiday weekend. She has stayed on top of the situation. I appreciate the whole spectrum of medicine practiced from modern, to Eastern and in between. Dr. Bakus is thorough, caring and empathetic. Her staff is equally wonderful. They greet you with caring and always remember your situation. The facilities are always immaculate. If I could give a 10 star rating I would.

I used to be able to communicate with my doctor and other staff members. Now I have to contend with a call center. These people know nothing about the Bradenton Florida facility. It has taken over a year for a simple billing issue to be addressed (still not resolved). A few weeks ago I called again to request a meeting with the office manager, Christopher Simmons. I was told that Mr. Simmons doesn't meet with patients. This was the final straw. I am looking for a new provider. The girl that tried to take my blood took 5 tries before hitting a good vein. Of course it hurt and now my wrist ( where she finally got blood ) is swelled and hurting. I don't know if she was in experienced or just had a bad day but I think more training might be a good idea. P.S. I have been a patient here for more than 5 years and have never had this happen before. Thank you.
