We weren't happy with that practice for many reasons, and Altman Dental was recommended to us by many families that we are friends with. He sees me and my husband and even my 9 year old! He LOVES Dr. Altman ( even more than his Pediatrician which says a lot!). I just came here to say that I always have a great experience with the front desk ladies, while I'm in the chair Dr. Altman is conversational and is humorous and informative and explains what's happening as he's doing it. Today the first step of my implant has started and I needed this tooth pulled. It was a great experience! I don't doubt that he will check on me later. If you are looking for a new practice, I highly recommend!!! I have even seen Dr. Gellert and he's wonderful too. So glad we switched years ago. Concierge offers both implants & bridges. My insurance policy made my choice for me, but the pricing was in line with what my peers have paid recently. I wanted to also call attention to the Cherry app that they connected me with that can approve you for extended payments starting at 0% interest if that is more comfortable ;). Anyway, there was no pressure, no long waits and since it had been an uncomfortably long time since I'd had regular dental maintenance Dr. Hoon made sure that I got in for a good cleaning, the hygienist was super nice! I complained and she did a little more, but no scrapeing, polishing or dentist evaluation. I was shown to another room where a man told me that would be $1800+. He also told me they gave me a free cleaning. Not true compared to the many times in my 70+ years of experience. (That would have been covered by insurance.) I moved to North Carolina in 2016, started with a new dentist and found out during X-rays that my implant post is diagonal instead of straight. A second opinion along with standard and panoramic X-rays confirm this. There's a large gap between my bone and implanted tooth that's allowing bacteria in. I'm now faced with having the implant removed and redone. This is not acceptable after spending thousands to have the first implant. Now 5 years later having to repeat the entire procedure? I wasn't in any pain, but I needed a root canal and this office is in-network for both my GEHA and Cigna dental insurance plans. The office is located on Main St. in Williamsville. You turn onto S. Long St. and you'll see that it's on the tail-end of the building. The signage isn't super obvious, so keep an eye out. And they do have parking spaces for you. Check-in was quick and simple. The front office (Lisa) had already called my general dentist to get the tooth and insurance information. So, I filled out a couple standard forms and was almost immediately called in to be seen. The root canal went perfectly, as far as I can tell. It was near painless during the procedure and I have yet to experience much discomfort afterwards. What more can you ask for? It did seem like my tooth presented a couple surprises and took awhile (as is typical), but Dr. Shostad kept me at ease the whole time. Her and her assistant (Jacky) have a great chemistry. I felt like I was getting a personal comedy show and it was hilarious...Dr. Shostad the comic and Jacky the straight man. Hey, hopefully you don't need an endodontist anytime soon...but, this is definitely the place to go if you do. :-)
