I did a review of this practice previously but they pretty much harassed me until I took it down. Calls from the office manager and Dr. in all good conscience I can't let this go. Last October 2024 I was seen in their office by Dr Leo on a emergency basis as my Dr was unavailable. I was having knee replacement in 3 weeks and they would not do it with a possible tooth infection. Dr Leo told me my tooth was rotted into the bone which shocked me because I take vigilant care of my teeth. I am 72 and have never had a problem in my life. She said she could pull the tooth right than after checking my insurance. I trusted the Dr. It was a very simple procedure and I went home. This is where the nightmare starts. I don't know what was done but I have been in unbelievable discomfort for 9 months. I have been back to their office twice to no avail. I have seen 2 specialist. My personal Dr has made a bridge for me hoping the replacement of the tooth would aid in my discomfort. The X-rays showed no reason to pull this tooth. There was no rotting into the gum. It was a simple cavity. I can't believe that these high powered corporations are getting away with this kind of destruction to a elderly person for the sake of money. I am sure this is what it boils down to. What I am saying from my own experience please be very careful if you go to this practice. Williamsville location. My experience with Buffalo Dental Group is so far one of the best experiences I have ever had , as far as medical/dental visits are concerned. From the clean, welcoming office waiting room (love the fireplace-it was a cold day when I visited) to the friendly professional staff, to the honest, thorough exam etc. I could not have asked for more. Every person working here was a pleasure to meet. Normally, dental visits are dreaded, but I wish every other office visit was as good of an experience as this. I have been a patient of Dr. Kolber for about 10 years. Even after moving to CA three years ago, I make it a point to schedule an appointment with him when I am in town visiting my family (who all are his patients as well). His staff is very accommodating/flexible with my schedule and always do a thorough cleaning job. At my most recent visit during the normal cleaning, the hygienist, Beth, worked extra hard to remove the surface staining that occurred as a result of a prescription a dermatologist had recommended. My experience is always pain free with wonderful results and I always feel I can trust whatever Dr. Kolber says is necessary. He will not try to sell you services that you don't need and no pressure to purchase cosmetic dentistry, but he will make suggestions if he thinks you may be interested. read more

On December 18, 2017, I had an appointment that I thought was to be a routine teeth cleaning at the Buffalo Dental Group, located at 5845 Main St., Williamsville, NY 14221. The cleaning procedure usually starts with the cleaning by a dental hygienist and followed up by the dentist for a final check of problems. On this particular appointment the dental assistant starts the cleaning procedure and then informs me that a full mouth debridement, evaluation/diagnosis has to done before the cleaning can be done. When she said that, I asked her to let me talk to my dentist. She informed me he was in Los Vegas, Nevada, I asked her, so why are doing this and making decisions like this, she didn't answer, I told her to just clean my teeth because that is what this appointment was scheduled for like I have been doing for the last 1.5 years. If there was a problem with my teeth I would have been informed by the dentist a year ago. I told her I didn't want the [procedure done until I talked to my dentist Dr Bernie Kolber, then she brought in some other person that didn't identify herself and she said we are not going to clean your teeth and this is sort of a real detailed cleaning procedure. So I let the dental hygienist do the procedure since it was a cleaning of sorts and also because I didn't have time to discuss this suspected bait and switch scam. So this procedure started with a vocalized check up where shes talks into a microphone measuring various pockets of each tooth. This R-DH stuttered and stammered thru this whole process and at this point I knew I was being scammed for a future rip-off. Sure enough as I suspected, the DH assistant tells me I have severe periodontal disease, bleeding pockets, gingivitis but the good news is ...no lose teeth..that was the good news. I had this diagnosis checked out and I did not have any problem with my teeth or gums. Then of courses like any scam she tells me I have to come in for a continuous followup. She gave me a folder with a course of action to be followed with a 4-6 week dental therapy session with a possible cost of up to $3-6 thousand dollars. The reason I came to Buffalo Dental Group was to get a second opinion for any work done on my teeth like they advertise on the radio. I joined there dental group for that specific reason and they where made aware of it before I took and paid for their unorthodox expensive panoramic ex-ray and dental routines that Dr Bernie insisted upon. With all this and more I became a patient of the Buffalo Dental Group. After all of this, I requested Dr Bernie to contact me...but he never did and still hasn't, letting his dental minions take care of his teeth cleaning business. What is really annoying about this dental group before my last request for Bernie to contact me, I get a brief letter stating that after reviewing your file, we feel your needs would be better met at another dental practice. If that's the case they should not be advertising on radio and media like they do for more patients. The unscrupulous and devious behavior practiced by the Buffalo Dental Group to get patients usurped into their practice is outrageous!! After spending all this money and time to be with this group it really infuriates me and should so anyone else being taken down this Bait and Switch Ripp-Off Road by the BDG. Before I consider other venues, I would like a full refund of the $160.00 paid for the routine cleaning that never took place, the absence of a licensed dentist and not to mention my time for this appointment that was made months in advance because I know the BDG charge patients if they don't show up for their appointments. I have had good experiences coming here for cleanings for the most part, but would not recommend if you need cosmetic work. I had bonding done on a chipped tooth in October, and was not crazy about the overall look, but mostly was not happy with the color discrepancy. The shade of the bonding was slightly darker than my other teeth. Not shockingly so, but I noticed it when I looked up close. That said, I did not notice this in the first day or two of the procedure. The tools used to harden the bonding make it appear lighter initially. I began noticing days later, and it really started bugging me within a few months. I was not able to get a workable appointment with the dentist for a while, and ended up going in this week (admittedly, several months later). While the dentist was very nice and willing to correct the work, and order the correct shade (apparently they did not have the right color when they did the work initially, so they just used the closest shade available, which was not a match), they insisted on charging me a few hundred dollars for the correction. I explained that I did not feel I should pay for a mistake that was made in the initial work. They disagreed. I decided I will try a different office to have the work corrected. read more

I have found my dentist for life! Dr. Vossler is the best dentist I've ever visited. I had old fillings replaced with new filling and was one scared patient. I literally did not feel any pain at all. The entire office is professional and friendly. read more

The visit itself was good, but I had a problem with billing. I was not told that Buffalo Dental Group doesn't participate with my insurance, and even when I mentioned in passing that I had no copay they did not correct me. They would not adjust my bill at all to compensate for their mistake, so I had to pay over $100 to get perfect teeth cleaned. I had never had a dental copay in over five years. read more
